(The scene opens in a back lit studio, we pan into position a light illuminates two men silhouetted in the shadows reveling them to be Jarred Daniels and to his right is none other than Bryan Daniels. The camera pans down and into position between both Jarred and Bryan bringing them both perfectly into frame.) Jarred: CZW fans tonight I privileged to be interviewing one of CZW’s brightest upcoming stars, in fact he debut at our last Pay-Per-View Heatwave in a CZW Television title match no-less. With out further adieu ladies and gentlemen I give you CZW’s newest rookie acquisition, Bryan “The Viper” Daniels. Bryan: No relation. Jarred: What’s that suppose to mean? (Bryan chuckles a bit and takes a sip of his water sitting on the table next to him.) Bryan: It means that if anyone ever thought that you and I were related I would have hung myself many years ago to save me the pain of association with you. But that’s neither her nor there. This interview is about my last match and the match I have this week so get to the questions. (Jarred fumbles a little taken aback by Bryan’s crassness but does not lose his professional appearance.) Jarred: Um… Bryan do you mind me calling you Bryan or would you prefer Mr. Daniels? (Bryan stares down Jarred but Jarred ever the journalist does not waver.) Bryan: You, you call me Viper. But honestly this is trivial let’s get to the meat of the issues. Jarred: Man of principle I can understand that. For starters at Heatwave you not only took out the Monster Impaler but you also justified yourself with a win over “Godzilla” Sawyer. But do you think that those two actions are enough to justify yourself as a championship contender in such short order? I mean there are some people here who have worked months and years to get what you got with just a couple swift and violent actions. Bryan: (Smirking with delight) Look at me Jarred, I am five foot nine inches tall, I am outweighed by more than a few wrestler on the roster. If I don’t take my chances and thrust myself down every wrestler and fan’s throat than who will. I am the man who is here to finally revolutionize the wrestling industry and take it from being the “Large Man’s” sport that it primarily has been and turn it back into the sport where logic reigns and planning pays, connecting the dots one by one until one’s dreams are finally imagined. You see I want to turn this industry into a place where big or small you can succeed. Jarred: That’s down right admirable but, can you really say that you’re accomplishing these goals through your methods. It seems that really all you’re doing is perpetuating the belief that you have to be underhanded to get what you want and can’t achieve it with out… (Bryan interrupts Jarred hold his hand up to Jarred’s face causing Jarred to stop in mid-sentence.) Bryan: Jarred I am opportunistic, a risk taker, a gambler if you will. I knew that I would get one of three things when I did what I did to Impaler and Sawyer at Heatwave, I would either get my ass kicked by the both of them that was about oh a two percent chance, option two I would be fired about a point five percent chance of that, and that leaved me getting exactly what I wanted at a ninety-seven point five percent chance of occurrence. Well worth the risk, well worth the reward, and well worth a chance at CZW gold my first night out don’t you think? Wait…what do I care about you think Jarred you’re just a man who sits in his little hole behind a broadcast table afraid to come out from behind his wall of professionalism seeing the world in a quixotic black and white afraid to realize that there are shades of gray more than you will ever know, unless you turn off your blinders. (Jarred swallows hard not wanting to get in an argument on a live web cast he moves along to his next question.) Jarred: With all that said this week you have a match against one tough man who just happens to be in you happen to out weigh by three pounds no less. Are you looking forward to fighting someone in your own weigh class? Bryan: Looking forward to it? I like fighting men my own size but proving that I am better than those behemoths that run around like they own the place. But yeah making an example out of Riley O’Connor will be perhaps the second most enjoyable moment of my career. Because the first will be when I claim the CZW Television Title as my own. But I digress Riley O’Connor or The Sixth Street Saint as he likes to be called. Well, Jarred let me tell you something, there are no more saints in this world any corrupt and dying. Anarchy is becoming a state of life Jarred, only the opportunists will be the ones to survive and thrive in this environment. The Sixth Street Saint, don’t make me laugh even saints are sinners. You Riley O’Connor whether you want to admit it or not are just like I am. You just don’t have the guts to attempt to grasp that brass ring and then try for the silver and gold. So Riley, will sit there content with his mediocrity content with being the lovable loser while I succeed and I will be a champion sooner than later. Jarred this week we will see Bryan Daniels take a step in his career and step away from everyone else in the pack. (With that Bryan stands up from his seat and walks out the door and the scene fades.) |
