Sadistic Solution

"A long habit of not thinking a thing wrong gives it a superficial appearance of being right." - Thomas Paine ~~ The scene opens up with blackness. Suddenly you see a big screen turn on, with normal opening footage of any reel playing. You can tell there is a few rows of chairs in front of the screen, as if this were a cinema. The screen beeps, and the countdown for the film to start begins at 5. As it is counting down, two figures walk into view and sit down in front of the screen. You can only see their silhouettes. One is holding what appears to be a box of popcorn, while the other has a drink in their hands. As they begin getting settled in and start to talk, you recognize that this is "Flawless" Frank Finch and the CZW World Heavyweight champion, Alan Fiscus. The screen displays the warning logo that CZW displays before every broadcast. This is the continuation of Alan's first promo, and these events are happening on the same night as the house show in Albuquerque ~~ ![]() ~~ As the video begins, Alan and Frank talk over it... very much like a cult classic television show from the early to mid '90s ~~ The opening CZW banner with Shawn Waters, Maynard O'Toole, Jesse Montana, Eddie Rowan and Alan Fiscus starts the reel, followed by the Overdrive logo Alan "Who is that handsome man on the end there?" Frank "That's Shawn Waters dude." The video begins with a quick shot of Jesse Montana, and then Alan Fiscus Alan "From horrible to tremendous in seconds!" Then there's Brian Kirkland hopping around Frank "What a fruit." Maynard O'Toole under lights, then Shawn Waters, then a stern shot of Jesse Montana Alan, immitating the Joker "Whhhy soooo seriouuuus?" Frank "This song is horrible, by the way." Then Eddie Rowan posing on a top turnbuckle from his X-Division title days, and a shot of Brian Blaze in a corner Alan "Yes it is. OH SHIT, who slipped in footage from a 70's gay porn flick!?" Then back to the Overdrive logo Frank "... what the hell was that?" McNally hitting the Bicycle Kick on Eric Collum Alan "KAPOW, ALICE!" Frank "Poor kid!" Then Caleb Walker applying a Camel Clutch to an unknown, and Cage Stryker hitting a big move on someone, then the shot of El Pablo hitting a nice high flying spot Alan "Ouch... look at that smirk on Cage's face. What a jackass." Frank "God damn he's ugly. Wait, when did this turn into 'When Animals Attack?' Look at that pink squirrel fly!" Mortius with flames surrounding him, Ace King with a serious look on his face, then Mr. Kiljoy out on the streets Alan "That dude's a flamer. Oh god, Ace King... jesus he's about to cry again!" Frank "Yeah I--AAH! Killer clowns from outer space!" Alan "More like Dirty clowns from the nearest public park..." A quick shot of Kyle Riley, then Rob Wright staring at the camera with the ying yang symbol, a quick shot of Total Mayhem, then Buck Evans walking down to the ring Alan "Isn't Rob's theme song that 'Right Stuff' by New Kids On The Block song?" Frank "It should be." Alan "TOOOOOTAL MAYYYYHEM... it's cereal chaos!" Frank "Hey, there's ol' Bucky Evans! Looks like he's fresh from the rodeo!" Alan "Yeah this is back when he showed up for matches." A shot of Justin Marsham giving an interview, TJ Hix dressed up as a school teacher, and Godzilla Sawyer nailing a strong powerslam Frank "Whatever happened to that guy..." Alan "When the hell was TJ Hix a school teacher? Does that say 'Streaker' behind him?" Frank "I have no idea, that guy's an idiot." A shot of Mike Monroe jumping over the top rope on someone, KB kicking a masked wrestler in the head, and Mountain Man posing Alan "Monroe with the super special extraordinary Misfit Lip Split Flip!" Frank "Whoa, Kay Bee with the Midget Corkscrew Kick! Shouldn't that be HIM wearing the mask?" Alan "THE MOUNTAIN MAN... he looks like he just got caught doing something naughty to a catholic boy." A classic shot of Karl "The Jackal" Jackson, Alan Fiscus attacking a bald Derek Damage from behind, Big Nasty power bombing someone, and Ronnie McNeil smiling Frank "Why is he even in this thing?" Alan "That's time being wasted that could have been more footage of me!" Frank "Ah, look at that. You ever noticed that Damage looks a LOT older when his hair is grown out?" Alan "That old fool. OH DAMNNN the Nasty Slop Drop! He looks like he can barely walk. Good Ol' Big Rusty." Frank "And more time wasted on people who no longer matter in CZW. It's a shame." Another shot of Mayo spitting out water, Evan Tyler hitting a devastating move on someone, and some shots of Justin Marsham in action Frank "Well the all important question of if Mayo spits or swallows has been solved." Alan "Ha, yeah. And here's some more of that Marsham kid. He needs to come back to CZW so I can beat his ass." Another shot of the Overdrive logo, a still shot of Matt Covey, and Mike King during his mysterious phase Alan "Good god, when did the channel switch to Hee Haw? Classic Covey with the glazed eyes... wait, that's all the time." Frank "Why oh WHY couldn't KING just leave the mask ON??" A shot of when Jesse Montana won the CZW World title, Mr. Kiljoy during one of his early promos, Mortius during one his early promos, and Eddie Rowan nailing an awesome move Alan "The -true- dark ages of CZW..." Frank, again startled "OH LORD NO, that clown again! AHHH!" Alan "Calm down man, it's just face paint and one UGLY face. Oh here's Eddie with the St. Edward's Deep Throat... DOUCHE!!" Frank "And or KA KA!" Now a shot from the match Eddie challenged Eric Collum for the World title in, Ace King alone in an arena, Matt Stylez posing, and Shawn Waters hitting a big move on a masked jobber Alan "I remember this... Rowan & Collum's Laugh-At." Frank "Nice. Oh look, Ace is all alone... poor little has been. Oh wait check this out.... BAM! That's my move, son! I do it ten times better than Waters too." Alan "Agreed." Next a shot of Collum fighting the Jackal, Brian Kirkland slapping Ricky Riot, McNally hitting another big move, and Frank Finch sitting in with the internet broadcast team Frank "BAH GAWD, Karl just hit Eric with the Jack Off!" Alan "Kirkland slapping some jobber... where's the crucifying bit? That belongs on this, dammit!" Frank "HELLO, who is that good looking man with the headset on?" Alan "...That old guy?" Now a shot of Timmons walking down a hallway, another Collum shot, Sawyer hitting a big shoulderbreaker, Monroe hitting a big move, a shot of Jesse, and Timmons attacking Mortius Alan "MIT MITTONS IS CUMIN FUR YOUUUU..." Frank "Bullshit he is." Alan "Monroe with the Mongoloid Tea Bag!" Frank "Why is Timmons so mad at Mortius? Did he correct his grammar or something?" A triple shot of Cage looking out into the crowd, an old promo from Jacob Havok, Krimzon Blaze with a fan after he won the X-Division title for the second time, Rob Wright hitting a running plancha to the outside, and Mountain Man before winning the UV title Alan "Keep looking, Cage, but you're never gonna see a Stryker fan..." Frank "Ha ha. Whoa, who is this fat guy with Blaze? Looks like he's gonna hit KB for dinner!" Alan "Rob Wright with the Flight of the Wright Brothers... ahhhhhhhh sorry that was lame." Alan Fiscus on the mic during his feud with Eddie Rowan, Total Mayhem when they were Global tag champs, and Buck Evans hitting a big lariat Alan "Perfection in motion." Frank "Yeah. Total Mayhem are bad asses." Big Nasty slamming the masked jobber that Shawn was fighting earlier, Eddie posing, Jesse when he revealed that he didn't fall from the sky box, and the ending credits Alan "Jesse looks like he is about rape somebody. Wait... he always looks like that." Frank "Ha! Well there's two good things about this... one, the crap is finally over, and two... Brian Blaze and El Pablo only showed up once each!" -=- Fiscus and Finch stand up to leave, snickering to each other, as the video comes to its end -=- Days later, December 1st -=- The scene fades in on a brick building with a small crowd in front of it, towards dusk. There is a newly placed logo above the main doors, stating "Castle Gym." The camera gets closer to the door to reveal the billboard next to it, stating the activity tonight. Unfortunately over the holiday break, the man who trained Alan Fiscus... Owen Castle... passed away from natural causes. He was 88 years old. The billboard states this is a special wrestling event, being held only 4 days after his passing, as a tribute show. The company throwing this event is the WSW, Alan's school/promotion that he opened in 2004. Although Alan doesn't oversee the day-to-day operations anymore, he still owns a quarter of the company and is billed to present a 'ringside eulogy' during the show. Alan's old tag partner, Jake Jarvis, now owns 75% of the company and puts all of his professional efforts into it. The billboard has a large picture of Castle at the top -=- OWEN G. CASTLE 1921 - 2009 ![]() -=- The main event of the evening is Jake Jarvis himself, going one on one against Frank Finch, another Castle student. The match also serves as Finch's first official match back after having elbow surgery over the summer, explaining his departure from CZW earlier this year. The camera pans out, focusing on the good sized crowd entering the building. The scene slowly fades to black -=- Three hours later, after the show is over and the crowd is filing out to leave the building -=- As the last amount of fans leave, Finch is seen coming back out from the locker room area having just taken a quick shower. He has a smile on his face, as he won the main event match albeit by cheating through his teeth. His hair is still wet, and not in its ponytail. He's wearing a "Chicago Pro" t-shirt and black bicycle shorts. He walks up to a small group of people that are sitting and standing near the front of the ring. They turn to him, and soon you can recognize three of the people as they're surrounded by a film crew. Jake Jarvis, the man he just beat, still wearing his wrestling gear as he has not gone to back to shower yet. CZW interviewer Jenny Jacobs, wearing a business jacket and a short gray skirt, is sitting down as she's wearing glasses and looking over a sheet of paper. She looks up and smiles. She is sitting next to the man the film crew is focusing on, the CZW World Heavyweight champion Alan Fiscus. He has the title sitting in his lap as he's wearing black jean shorts, and the same "Chicago Pro" t-shirt which is the name of Castle's training academy. He is sporting a 4 day old goatee, and his hair is growing longer as its down to his shoulders now. As Finch approaches, Jarvis breaks kayfabe and hugs him -=- Jake, as he releases the hug "Thanks so much, Frank, we made a lot more money than we thought we would with this short of a notice." Frank "No problem whatsoever, dude, I'm so glad I can help the cause. So we made enough to cover the old man's funeral and all?" Jake "Definitely. I think I'm gonna have WSW have a super card in a couple of weeks, calling it the Owen Castle Memorial or something like that. Just to add to the pot. I'd figure we donate the money to his grand kid's college funds." Frank "Nice. So Fiscus is about to have some interview then?" Jake "Yeah, looks like its for the CZW weekly web cast. A special they're having on Owen." Frank, before addressing Alan "Well... that's awesome. Hey man." Alan, looking up "Hey buddy. Great match, man. You and Jarvis were gold. You don't look like you missed a beat." Frank "Thanks champ. So CZW is doing a special on Owen?" Alan "Yeah, on their website. I guess it's a World champion perk." Jake, before leaving "Alright guys, I'm out. Got some business to take care of. Thanks again for wrestling tonight, Frank. Talk to you guys later." -=- Jarvis bumps knuckles with both men, as they nod goodbye -=- Jenny "We're all ready to go when you are, Alan. I'll ask you a few questions about Owen, and of course about CZW." Alan "Of course. Give me a sec." -=- Jenny nods politely -=- Alan, looking back up at Frank "Well I'm gonna do this thing. You gonna sit in or take off?" Frank "Gonna take off, there's someone I want to go see while we're here." Alan "Alright." Frank "See ya champ." -=- They, too, bump knuckles and then Frank heads off towards the exit near the locker room. Fiscus turns back to Jenny -=- Alan "So what's all going to be on this special?" Jenny "Well, it will be about 30 minutes... we'll have your interview, an interview with Frank, and then a short documentary on his life and career." Alan "I appreciate you guys doing that." Jenny "Our web team is really good, they want to cover as broad a scope in the wrestling world as possible. Plus, a man who greatly influenced the World champion like he did deserves recognition." Alan, somewhat offended "He deserves recognition regardless of my title, he was a man of true class." Jenny "... Of course. Are you ready to go?" Alan "Yep." -=- Jenny looks up to the cameraman, who sets everything into motion. Jenny repositions herself as he begins a countdown, then he motions for her that the tape is rolling -=- Jenny, addressing the camera "Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to another edition of CZW's Ultra Zone, the internet's leading wrestling news web cast. We not only bring you the latest news and happenings in the CZW, but from all independent wrestling promotions in the United States. Tonight is a special broadcast, and one with a heavy heart. Last friday, the wrestling world lost one of its legendary stars from yesteryear. A wrestler during the 50's and 60's, and later a trainer who has trained around a dozen of the independent wrestlers active today. I am speaking of "The Iron Gate" Owen Castle. Although sad news, it is comforting to know he died of natural causes and while he was sleeping. We are in Castle Gym, named after the man, where the WSW has held the first benefit show for him. Right now I am with arguably his most famous graduate, current CZW World Heavyweight champion, Alan Fiscus." -=- The camera pans out as it had been zoomed in on Jenny. Jenny turns to Alan, and Alan immediately gets into character as he knows Owen would want him to be -=- Jenny "Thank you so much for being here." Alan "The pleasure is yours." Jenny "What can you tell us about the kind of man Owen was?" Alan "Owen Castle was a man of a dying breed, Jenny. Where society has turned into this shameless throng of pigs that worships convenience, Owen prided himself in the hard work and dedication it takes to actually succeed in life and this business. The only good thing about his passing, is, that he no longer has to endure the ignorance that rules the mass majority." Jenny "How deeply would you say that Owen affected and influenced your career?" Alan "I feel I've modeled my career after his, almost to a tee. When I met Owen, I was a lost teenager looking for a way. He took me in, made me feel as his own, and filled the emptiness inside that was left by my true parents. He taught me discipline, integrity, and determination. The true meanings of each word. As I've watched this society turn to shit I've held these values close to my heart, knowing I wasn't a victim like everyone else. Owen is very much like a father figure to me, and his passing is having a profound effect." Jenny "How do you think this has affected your World title defense against Brian Blaze on the 7th?" Alan, getting uncharacteristically emotional "Unfortunately, a lot. We were just arriving in Dallas when we heard the news. We didn't even leave DFW, we booked a flight to Chicago right then and there and got right back on a plane. Whether people want to admit or know this or not, beyond my hardened exterior I am still a human. Complete with the flaws and emotions that everyone else has. How would you feel if your father figure died, Jenny? Destroyed, I assume. This is probably the most human you will ever see me, so soak it in. Owen has been at every World title match I've ever participated in. He was there when I won my first World title, and he was there when I lost it. I haven't had much sleep in the last few days. Even though it's had an impact on my mental preparations for my first CZW World title defense, it won't be enough to give Blaze the edge. I could get hit by a train and still have the advantage over him. Owen won't be there physically anymore, but he is always going to be with me. Unfortunately, yes, I am human. But I am the alpha male. I am the leader of the pack, by natural selection. Where such trauma would crush an ordinary man, I use this pain, this emotion, as fuel. As motivation to rise above. When I was speaking at his funeral, I made a promise to his legacy." Jenny "And that promise is?" Alan "That promise is that I would do whatever it takes to be even more of a champion than before. To, as I said, rise above and show the world how people are supposed to be. You see, Blaze has a gold belt wrapped around his waist, just like I do. But where I am a TRUE champion, he is a mockery of the word. Brian Blaze is the perfect example of this society Owen and I and everyone else he's affected have grown to despise and detest. He is lazy, undisciplined, and was born thinking the world owed him something. Even through these trying times, Jenny, I have not missed one single work out. Even through these trying times, I have caught his little promo. You know what I saw? I saw FEAR. I saw INTIMIDATION. I saw a grown man acting like a child. He's already accepted within himself that he poses no threat to me. Where he doesn't even WANT to work out in preparations for our match, I am obsessed with it. I am as perfect as a human being can be, and it's by embracing Owen's vision that I am so. Through Brian Blaze, I will be extracting Owen's revenge on this demoralized society. He is the poster boy for such wastefulness. Young and dumb. Where he has promise, he has many more flaws. Where he has skill, he lacks the necessary tools to define such a strong word as champion. Where he should be focused, he is scared and trying his damnedest to make light of the situation. Brian was overzealous to want to cash his title shot in me so soon, and it's obvious he realizes that now." Jenny "He definitely has the support of the fans." Alan "And what's that supposed to mean? Why is that a quote unquote 'good' thing, Jenny? The fans support him because he is just like them. Lazy and selfish. They know nothing of hard work and determination. The fans, for the large part, hate me. They hate me because I don't beat around the bush. I tell the truth. They know they could never find it in their will to be like me, so they are jealous. It's a lot like how so many people have turned away from their Jesus Christ. They are envious of this mythical hero. When I said I was here to save the CZW, I meant it. When I tell people I am their shepherd, I am. But I do not mean to imply that I give a damn about any of them. I am not here to show them the way into heaven. Heaven, even in its falsehood, is meant for heroes and champions. None of these people have that caliber of fortitude. They hate me because I do. Their hate only fuels my drive, though, and it is returned ten fold." Jenny "If you're not here to show people the light, why do you claim to be a shepherd?" Alan "Because I _AM_ showing them the way to righteousness. Because I am setting the bar for what a champion should be. I am using the tools Owen has taught me, and setting the example for how people SHOULD be, and used to be so many years ago. The weak are here to justify the strong, Jenny, unfortunately over time the weak also outweigh the strong by an alarming amount. Fodder. Filler. I set the example, Jenny, but only the very few will even slightly step up and take that moral code to heart. I am the epitome of what a champion should be. Through this pain and heartache I feel, I never thought for one second to give up. I could be sick with multiple diseases, I could lose both arms, and still be determined and skilled enough to be champion for years to come. These people, they give up too easy. They all think they are due greatness simply by being BORN. One of the biggest flaws in humanity is the ego. Where hard work and the journey itself has lost its credence, the ego... somehow, and offensively... has grown to epic proportions. We are ruining this planet, Jenny. We are creating our own rapture, our own apocalypse. Humankind will not have some magnificent battle of the gods to blame for their demise. Humankind will not have omens and prophecies to take the responsibility away. No, in the end, the only thing we can blame is ourselves and our flaws. I am doing my best to shake loose these inherited errors. Even though I use it as psychological warfare, I don't fully claim to be above anyone else, Jenny, but I definitely strive to be. I've proved to be. I will continue to strive and prove such things. Brian Blaze, obviously, does not believe in himself. There is no question that I believe in myself. Brian Blaze is bells and whistles, where Alan Fiscus is substance and skill." Jenny "Well, Owen was definitely a very influential individual and will be sorely missed by many. I was lucky enough to have met him a handful of times when I was breaking into the business, and he was always the perfect gentleman. One last question before we wrap up, Alan. Not to imply that you're looking past Brian, but who else in the CZW do you see that is deserving or will be deserving soon a title shot?" Alan "Owen was the definition of the word gentleman. Stern, honest, intelligent. Level headed beyond the meaning. Selfless. Giving. He gave to this business from the first day he entered it to the day he left it. You are right, Jenny, you were lucky to get the privilege to meet him in person. I only wish there were more people like him, and he had influenced many more than he did. May he rest in peace. I am very proud to have been a World champion at the time of his passing, so that he died knowing he did it the right way. Now, let's get something straight. I am not looking past Brian Blaze. I don't take anything for granted, Jenny. I am the constant puppet master, and I play with people's minds as easy as night devours the day. That's another part of being the champion. I don't take one single second for granted. I am at the top of my game physically, emotionally, and mentally. Beyond Blaze, I think it's obvious who is next. 'Bad Ass' Matt Covey versus 'The Sadistic Solution' Alan Fiscus. A dream match to many, a must-see match to all. I've said it before, but I am demanding, officially, right here and now... to face him at our 2 year anniversary pay-per-view. Title or no title, and in a Riot match. Cage Stryker can stick his nose in my business and claim I dodged Covey. Cage can try and turn anything he wants into an excuse for losing the belt to me. I didn't dodge Covey, I put him on an even bigger stage. In a match that will be even more important if and when I defend the title against him. I have Covey just where I want him. The 2 year anniversary show's main event. Rochester, New York where it all began. After I've ended Covey's career, I suppose that crybaby Stryker should get his rematch for the title. With great pleasure, I will prove to him that he truly is shit. With great pride, I will break his neck in the middle of the ring and end his career as well. Covey and I, we were blood brothers. Blood brothers we will remain, but not in the same sense. Cage, however, I have no empathy for. I have no respect for this man, simply by the way he presents himself and the politics he tries to play backstage. His empty, long winded interviews that mean nothing to anyone. I'm going to make an example out of his old tag partner in Brian Blaze. The Hollywood Knights? Retarded. Brian Blaze, if you feel I'm overlooking you... grasp for that fantasy. Try your best to use that as motivation. You obvious have none. You and Cage are just alike, aren't you. Shameless. Selfish. Egomaniacs. Let me reassure the both of you, that yes, your shit DOES stink. On the same token, neither of you have very much confidence in yourselves. You see, although my mentor is now gone... he taught me how to focus. He showed me how to channel such emotions as grief and turn them into weapons. He taught me how to maintain confidence in myself through and through. Brian, bring whoever you'd like. Bring Herman Munster. Bring all of your Beautiful f*gony faction. Bring your trainer, Ankles Calhoon or whatever his name is. You can go down your list of your origins. Am I supposed to be impressed that you were once called the Jack Off Kid? Your origins confirm that your career is a joke, that you're only here to make the sheep laugh. This is no joking matter, Brian. I dedicate our match to my mentor, my friend, my father figure. I dedicate our match to Owen Castle. If you think for one second... two seconds... three seconds that I am going to allow you the biggest win of your LIFE, you're very sadly mistaken and simply wrong. You're right, it isn't your destiny to win the CZW World Heavyweight title. It's your destiny is to be my victim." Jenny "Well, that about wraps it up here. Thank you so much, Alan, for taking the time to do this interview. Following will be a 20 minute documentary on the wrestling career of Owen Castle, in the ring and beyond. I think, actually, that Jake Jarvis is going to be doing the narration." Alan "That's great, if there's anyone else besides me that can portray how much Owen meant, it's Jake." Jenny "Agreed. Thank you again, and we'll see you folks at home in the arenas. Good night." -=- The cameraman begins the countdown from three for filming to cease. When it does, Jenny and Alan both stand up. Jenny offers to shake Alan's hand, and he accepts. Jenny may very well be one of the toughest people employed by the CZW. Throughout constant abuse and ridiculous storylines, she has maintained her grace and professionalism. Alan knows this, and respects that. He nods to her, and she smiles. She turns around to begin gathering her things. Alan smiles to himself, and begins to walk away towards the same exit Frank took 10 minutes earlier. The scene slowly fades to black -=- |
