CZW's Pinnacle of Perfection
|
The scene begins in the backstage area with Rob Wright heading towards the exit moments after quitting The Next Generation and laying out Tim Timmons. Rob walks out the door with his bag and Money in the Bank briefcase in hand. He gets to his car, when a voice calls out. Voice: Rob...Rob Rob turns to see who is calling him, and walking towards the car is Ryan Lewis. Rob turns back around and starts to get into the car. Lewis sees this and begins to sprint towards the car. Approaching the car as Rob is about to close the door, Lewis asks Rob if he can have an interview. Rob looks up at him and says. Rob Wright: Dammit Lewis. I'm already in the car. Ryan Lewis: Just a couple of questions. It won't take that long. I need this. Please. Lewis says as he drops to his knees. Rob Wright: Get a grip, man, and get off your knees. I don't swing that way. I'll give you your interview. Just make it quick. I have to meet Ashley. Ryan Lewis gets up off his knees, and adjusts himself. Rob gets out of the car and closes the door. He leans against the car as Lewis asks his first question. Ryan Lewis: My first question obviously has to be...Did you really just quit The Next Generation?[/color= Rob looks over to Lewis. Rob Wright: You have got to be joking, right? You stopped me to ask a stupid question like that? Weren't you watching, Ryan? I just stood in that ring and told you, the fans here, and all the people across the globe...screw Tim Timmons and screw The Next Generation. Rob takes the microphone from Ryan Lewis and pushes him aside. Rob Wright: I don't need them. Tim Timmons made the biggest mistake of his life. He forgot about Rob Wright. As I said in the ring. Tim's sole purpose was to us the members of The Next Generation to better his career. That's fine. Do what you gotta do. When I look back. I can pinpoint the exact moment I started to half doubts. It was the moment that Mountain Man joined The Next Generation. Tim began to mold him into the next Tim Timmons. (Rob chuckles a little bit.) I have no clue why anyone would want todo that. But anyway...Tim began to focus all of attention of Mountain Man, and kinda brush me off to the side. Ryan Lewis: (from the background) Sounds like somebody's jealous. Rob looks off camera for a second. Then turns back to the camera. Rob Wright: Jealous...jealous of who? Mountain Man? I have more talent in my pinky than he will ever have in his career. What's there to be jealous of? What has he done? Oops...I forgot. He used to be the former Hardcore/Ultraviolent Champion. Big accomplishment there. But then again, when you follow in Timmons' footsteps...I guess that's the best you can do. Ryan Lewis: (Again from the background.) But you used to follow in his footsteps. Rob Wright: That's right. I used to follow Timmons, but I saw the light. I realized that following him will get me nowhere. Granted I did win the Tag Titles and the Money in the Bank briefcase while a member of The Next Generation, but at the time I was doing what was best for me at the time. And now, the best thing for The Real Deal is to drop that band of losers known as The Next Generation. So let me ask you this, Josh. How long until the next one comes along, and Timmons forgets about you? Think about it...it's only a matter of time. Rob looks down at his hand. He begins to shake it as if it hurts. He looks in the direction of Ryan Lewis. Rob Wright: Do you know how good it felt to drop Timmons in that ring? (He turns back to the camera.) Only one feeling comes to mind...extreme satisfaction. I've been wanting to knock him on his ass for a long time now, and I didn't think it would feel as good as it did. You see, Tim. You made the biggest mistake of your career when you took Mountain Man under your wing, and that mistake was you forgot about The Real Deal. (Rob chuckles to himself and looks directly into the camera.) After what I did in that ring tonight...I doubt Timmons will ever forget about Rob Wright again. Rob drops the microphone and walks over to his car. He opens the door and climbs inside. He starts the car and revs the engine a couple of times. Through the driver side window you can see Rob shift the car into gear, and he begins to drive off. The scene ends with Ryan Lewis walking back into the camera's view watching Rob drive away. Scene Fades The scene begins with a close up of Rob Wright's face. The camera begins to zoom out, and you can see that Rob is sitting in a chair inside of his locker room inside The American Airlines Arena. Rob is dressed in a beige suit with a black tie. His hair is pulled back in a ponytail. As Rob sits in the chair, Ashley walks up and hands Rob a cup. Rob takes a sip from the cup and sets it down on the table in front of him. Ashley looks over at Rob. Ashley Murphy: Can I ask you a question? Rob looks over at her. Rob Wright: Yeah. Sure. Ashley Murphy: Was what you did last week really neccessary? Rob Wright: What do you mean? Ashley Murphy: I understand that you wanted to distance yourself from The Next Generation, but did you really have punch Tim? Rob Wright: In my defense...he swung first, and if you're gonna sit there and I'm gonna let Timmons punk me...you're dead wrong. Ashley Murphy: I know. I'm just scared that he's gonna try and do something to get back at you for it. Rob Wright: To be honest...I know he's gonna try and get some sort of revenge. As a matter of fact, I'll bet anything he's coming up with his "fool proof"(Rob takes his fingers and makes the quotation marks with them.) plan as we speak. He can try, and just like everything else he's tried to do this year...he's gonna fail, and he's gonna fail miserably. If he chooses to start a war with me...then fine, but he has to understand. He's gonna be starting a battle that he can't win. I may be by myself for that war, but I'll prove what I have been saying since day one...Rob Wright was the shining diamond in the pile of shit is known as The Next Generation. That's right Timmy. I know it and you know it. [/color=orange]Rob picks the cup up off the table and takes a sip from it. He glances over at Ashley before setting it back down. As he sets the cup down, he picks up his phone up and flips it open. Ashley Murphy: Who is it? Rob Wright: Nobody. Just an old text message from Jesse. Ashley Murphy: What's it say? Rob Wright: It says that this coming week on Overdrive, it's gonna be the team of Tim Timmons and Mountain Man against the team of Rob Wright and his partner, the current CZW TV Champion. The only man that has whipped Timmons' ass more than Cage Stryker. I'm talking about none other than Godzilla Sawyer. Ashley Murphy: Godzilla Sawyer? Do you think you can trust him? Rob Wright: Even though we have faced each other in the past. I can't say that I know all that much about Sawyer. But I did happen to catch his promo the other day, and he claims that he never turned his back on any of his partners. I did some research, and he's telling the truth. As far as I can tell, he has never turned on a partner. Ashley Murphy: But...do you trust him? Rob Wright: I guess in a way...I have no choice but to try and trust him, but there is something about this whole situation that's bothering me. Ashley Murphy: What's that? Rob Wright: Sawyer said in his promo that he's not sure if he can trust The Real Deal, but just because he says that he never turned on a partner. I'm just supposed to trust him? Ashley Murphy: But you just said that you checked it for yourself, and that he was telling the truth. What's not to trust? I think you should trust him. It wouldn't hurt to have some help with Timmons and Mountain Man. Rob Wright: I already told you. I don't need nor do I want any help with those two. I understand that we both share the same hatred for Timmons, but I can handle them on my own. Speaking of...I'm gonna go and have a word with Mr. Sawyer. I'll be back. Rob gets up and walks to the locker room door, and opens it. He walks through the doorway and closes the door behind him. He starts down the hall and turns the corner. As he turns the corner he bumps into someone. Rob picks himself up off the floor and looks eye to eye with...Godzilla Sawyer, who is standing there in a pair of black slacks and a red, short sleeve, polo shirt. He has the CZW TV Title drapped over his shoulder. Sawyer extends his hand for a handshake, and Rob reaches out and shakes Sawyer's hand. Rob Wright: (As they are shaking hands.) I saw your little promo, and I don't blame you for thinking that you can't trust me. I know I have done some shady things in the past, but when I layed Tim out in the middle of that ring last week. I started a new chapter in my life. I realized that I didn't need to be aligned with Timmons and Mountain Man. With friends like that...who needs enemies. And I just wanted to tell you face to face, man to man that this week in our match...I will be in your corner one hundred percent. Godzilla Sawyer: That's good to know, Rob. Because I didn't wanna have to worry about you attacking me Pearl Harbor style. Rob Wright: You have no worries there, man. And I know why they have us booked in a tag match against Timmons and Mountain Man. Godzilla Sawyer: Why's that? Rob Wright: Because that's the only way Timmons has a shot at winning. Rob and Sawyer both begin to laugh. Rob Wright: Think about it. Tim has pretty much won every tag match he has had, but book him in a singles match, and he can't buy a win. They laugh again. Rob Wright: Alright man. I'll let you get back to knocking people down in the hallways. Rob starts to walk away, but stops and turns around. Rob Wright: And if you ever get tired of defending that belt against Timmons. I'll be more than happy to take that belt off your hands. A slight smile comes across Sawyer's face. The two men shake hands, turn, and walk in opposite directions as the camera fades to black. Fade To Black |
