The camera opens in a very rural area, know by some as "The Sticks". There is not a lot of use of the dusty, unpaved roads, save for people who are lost, on purpose and by accident. Off to the side of said road is a building which has seen its better days pass it by. Yet there seems to be a small contingent of cars in the parking area. Nothing too fancy, but working enough to get you from one point to the other. There also seems to be a good amount of motorcycles parked up front. With Harley-Davidson and Indian among the majority. The sign on the building says "Johnny Mac's Bar and Grill" on a weathered sign with chipped and peeling paint. After a few seconds of taking in the atmosphere, a car is heard coming from behind the camera. It pulls in and out steps "The Misfit" Mike Monroe. He is wearing a Metallica "Death Magnetic" World Tour shirt underneath a partially zipped up black hoodie. Mike looks up and sees the camera, nods towards the cameraman and leans against the car. Mike: "You know, I consider myself lucky. I never had much money growing up. I'm not ashamed of how I grew up. If anything it helped to shape me in my adult life. Everything I have earned, I did on my own. And it feels good. Right now, I am doing a job I dreamed about as a child. I have a nice house, a nice car, I get to travel the world. But I still never forgot where I came from. Because with a high-risk job like I have, one wrong injury could end it all. Coming home just puts everything in perspective. That's why I chose to live in the same town I grew up in. Of all my success, I still don't think I am better than anyone. My beliefs and values also doesn't make me better than you. Whether you believe in God, Buddah, Allah, Chuck Norris, Bruce Campbell, that's your perogative. But what really...crap, it's cold, I'm going inside." Mike waves at the cameraman, beckoning to follow him into the bar. Mike walks in and the cameraman is slightly taken aback by the crowd, almost as if he wouldn't expect Mike to be in a place like this. He had a feeling in his stomach that a bar fight was gonna break out at any minute, yet Mike walked in like he was home. Mike went a bout shaking hands, patting backs, just making general small talk. He walks up to the bar and gets the attention of the bartender, a strikingly beautiful woman. She sees Mike and gives him a sly grin as she comes up. She is wearing a FOX motorcross jersey, but tied in a knot so you could see her tattoo of stars peeking out of her tight jeans. Sexy bartender: "Hey, babe. Your usual?" Mike: "You know it, gorgeous." She reaches into one of the coolers behind the bar and comes up with an ice cold Bud Light Sexy Bartender: "Another drink and run?" Mike: "Nah, I'll stick around for a minute. But, I gotta leave tomorrow for a show in Lexington." Sexy Bartender leans over and pecks Mike on the cheek. Sexy Bartender: "That's for good luck." Mike: "Well, I guess I can't lose now." She kind of titters as she goes about her business. Mike then looks to the camera. Mike: "You see Harper, I respect you. You stick by your convictions, regardless of what you are told to believe. But what I hate is when people like you force you beliefs on others. Yeah, you are straight edge, I get that. But not everybody is or wants to be straight edge. I don't hate you because you are straight edge. As a matter of fact, one of my closest friends, a one Mr. Eddie Rowan, is straight edge. I drink on occasion and have gotten drunk more than once. I smoked weed once. And yes I have had sex with somewhat less than stellar women. But you know what, that doesn't make me any less or more better than you. What makes me better than you is stuff like this." ![]() Mike: "I do have one question between you and Shane, who is Hungry Jack and who is Mrs. Buttersworth?" The camera fades out from the bar and fades back in to the Rupp Arena. Mike is seen talking to both male members of Idolized, with Mike in his ring gear and Idolized in street clothes. As if on cue, Ryan Lewis shows up with a microphone. Mike looks at him, rolls his eyes, and turns back to see Idolized has already split. Mike: "What, Lewis?" Lewis: "I just wanted to get your sentiments on YA's new attitude and their dismantling of Kirkland's former best friend Dwayne Campbell." Mike sort of snickers at this. Mike: "I hope Dwayne whips his ass. You see Dwayne is a friend of mine and I am a fan of revenge. YA must be pissy because someone used the last tampon and didn't own up to it. Also, Kirkland seems to keep stabbing people in the back. What doesn't say he won't do that to you when it benefits him. Just watch you back, because he won't" Mike walks off as Lewis looks dumbfounded as the camera fades. |
