CZW Rising Star!
|
The video begins, we see the words on the screen: THE FOLLOWING IS A HYPED UP PRODUCTION TO GET A POINT ACROSS! The scene opens in a large room that is mostly dark; we can see shapes in shadows but cannot tell what the shapes are exactly. We here the sound of a door opening and closing, then a light turns on, revealing a fairly large room. To one side we see some simple furniture, including a heavy wooden desk, some tables, a large screen TV sitting on the desk, and even a couple of potted trees standing around 6-7' tall. To the other side of the room is what appears to be a model train set, complete with a landscape, buildings, bridges, etc. The camera zooms slowly forward as Godzilla Sawyer, dressed in his wrestling attire and dark sunglasses, comes into the picture toward the back of the room, past the desk. He seems to be speaking on a mobile phone. Godzilla: So everything is set? Good, good. No, there won't be any problems, nothing we can't handle. Everything is arranged, its just a question of when....I agree with that wholeheartedly. Our business relationship is going to cause great things to happen...at least for us, don't know about CZW as a whole! (He pauses, then laughs) Yeah, they'll be surprised to see me with a manager AND they'll be surprised to see who it is! This is gonna be so much fun. All right, talk to you later. He lowers the phone and places it on the desk next to the TV, then turns toward the camera and walks forward, until he’s the main thing in the shot. Godzilla: I know that everyone wants me to discuss this huge match coming at Hatewave, this gigantic four-way riot match. Well, I don't see any reason to talk about it yet. Alan has gone on record several times stating he's going to win, so that's that, right? I don't even need to show up. Sawyer lifts his sunglasses, winks at the camera, then puts them down. Godzilla: But that is several weeks away. I could brag all about how I beat that goliath Garrett Williams...and yes, I DID beat him. Doesn't matter how, isn't that right? I could brag all about how I'm going to destroy the other three men at the Pay-Per-View. But no, because before we get there, we get to Overdrive...in Grand Rapids, Michigan...in the biggest show I've been part of in a long time in front of my home town crowd. (Cracks a big smile) I'm sure you can tell, I'm hyped about that! Because, not only will there be the vampire-by-proxy, violence addicted CZW fandom there, but the audience will also be filled with my true fans...the ones that have been there to every single Grand Rapids match I've been in and those who may not go to the small independent shows but did see some of my previous CZW matches there and my time as Champion in Western Championship Wrestling. It will be a packed house, mainly because I will be there. What a stage to perform on before the big show! Johnny Kerosene, I've been watching you from afar for a while now. We haven't really met, definitely haven't wrestled, but you've shown me a tenacity that made me assume that, eventually, we'd be against each other. I always scout out the ones with real skill and potential. And you are on a pretty good run, too. I’m not going to stand here and act like you have no chance against me. But Kerosene, I do have a secret weapon. You can thank Garrett for this. Let's watch the screen, shall we? Now we see playing on the screen footage from the most recent Overdrive. Garrett William is stomping on Sawyer, who is on the ground. Garrett reaches down, pulls Sawyer to his feet, pushes him into the corner, and smashes two hard chops into The American Kaiju's chest. Garrett then sends Sawyer into the opposite turnbuckle, but Godzilla dodges the attempt and... Godzilla, speaking over the video: Right here... Godzilla lays into Garrett with three knife-edge chops even as we hear Sawyer's excited voice. Godzilla, voiceover: Chop. Chop! CHOP!!! The camera backs off, including Sawyer in the shot of the television screen. Sawyer is holding his hand up in front of him, almost like a vertical salute. Godzilla: I have never before realized the power of the Flair Chop! I've never really tried it, figured it was someone else's forte! But here, at a time where my head butts, one of my greatest weapons, were difficult to perform due to Garrett's height, I followed his example and...it was beautiful. Some fans even gave me a Flair 'Whooooo!' But wait! The footage starts again, skipping ahead in the match. Now we see a series of shots, switching from the TV screen to Sawyer’s reaction. SCREEN: Sawyer, with difficulty, pulling a prone Garrett to his feet. Once the big man is standing, Sawyer hits him with another chop. GODZILLA, passing left to right across the shot: CHOP! SCREEN: Same shot from the match, second chop. GODZILLA, passing right to left: CHOP! WHOOOOO! SCREEN: Same shot, third chop. GODZILLA: WHOOOOOOAAAAAH! I'ma choppin'! I'ma choppin'! I'm George Washington, I'm chopping the tree! (Hits one of the potted trees with a knife-edged chop) SCREEN: Austin Powers, KARATE CHOP! ![]() GODZILLA: I’m choppin' tha door! WHOOOOOO! (He knife-edge chops a door to the room and his sunglasses fall off.) SCREEN: from a classic Bugs Bunny cartoon: HASSAN CHOP!!! ![]() GODZILLA: Whooooo! I’m the Chop Wizard! (He chops down on an actual Chop Wizard appliance, cutting what appears to be a chunk of apple into cubes.) SCREEN: Dana Carvey sits at a piano playing and singing while Sigourney Weaver listens, seeming to enjoy as Carvey sings: CHOPPIN' BROCCOLI! CHOPPIN' BROCCOLI! CHOPPIN-SHE-CHOPPIN-SHE-CHOPPIN-SHE-CHOPPIN... ![]() GODZILLA: wild-eyed, chops a wall. Whoooo! Chops it again. Whooooo! Chops it again. WHOOOOOOO! SCREEN: Arnold Swartzeneggar: ![]() And then lastly: When the camera returns to Godzilla, this time he is standing in the middle of the outdoor model setting, and with a closer view, we can see it is an operating electric train set-up, with at least two trains moving around the track. Godzilla is no longer wild, he is standing calm. Godzilla: Let's step back into reality, though. Johnny, you have to realize that you are stepping in my yard this time, and home-town advantage can be a bitch. 'Hometown vs Foreigner'. That's a pretty good pun, but the rock and roller is in Blue Collar country. When I step in that ring, I'll be cold as ice to you. I'll hit you so hard, you'll have double vision. I'll make you feel like a rookie again, make you feel like the first time you wrestled. I'll play all the classic wrestling head games. After Overdrive, it will be a blue morning, blue day for you. Godzilla bends down and picks up a small, red, plastic gasoline can. You see, Kerosene is a fuel, Johnny, but I have the fire. Do you know what happens when fire meets fuel? Godzilla begins to pour clear liquid from the can onto the model, until there is a puddle right in the middle. He steps away, strikes a match, and tosses it onto the small puddle. It flares up brightly, flames going up almost as tall as Sawyer before dying down a bit. There is a violent flare and intense heat, but that initial reaction will fade after a short time. Sawyer watches as the flames almost die down, but although smaller, they continue to burn...and slowly spread. Sawyer waves the camera closer, and it zooms in to where the liquid had been poured. You see that? The fuel is spent, gone, burned up and destroyed...but the fire continues on, burning, melting, consuming more. Fire is always hungry, always searching for something to consume. Johnny Kerosene, you are the fuel for my fire on Overdrive. I'm sure, with our abilities, we will burn brightly...for a short period of time. But when its all over, you will have been burned away while my fire will continue onto Hatewave looking for something else to tear down. In Grand Rapids, Michigan, that is just the nature of things, Johnny. (Smirks) End of story. Camera zooms in toward the fire, then goes out of focus before the FADE TO BLACK. END |
