Stay Down
The still of the black screen took our sight once again, awaiting it's turn to spring to life in a burst of electricity an color, but it's time was taken away, replaced by that of sound. A rushing, though mellow and easy hummed through hundreds of thousands of speakers viewing the CZW around the world. The sound of small stones pushing through the humming chimmed in, the light breath of a gentle wind accompanying it on it's journey.

Finally the sense of sight had it's chance to shine, almost quite literally. A beam of sunlight gleamed down from the golden crowned sun above, resting ever so lightly in the clear cerulean sky. The camera focused on the lovely helios, centering it on-screen, before slowly descending down toward the source of the sound. As it did, two birds, their true type masked by shadow, flew by singing a cheerful song.

The skyline of Kobe, Japan rose in the background, alive in the mid-day sun as they went on their ways, the streets cluttered with faces upon faces on the work path, but not in this setting. This was a place of silence, a place of calm. White pebbles filled a large, square-shaped flooring on what could only be the rooftop of a fairly large building. Various trees, noteably banzai trees, rose up from their man-placed locations, giving character to the small waterfall constructed of similar-sized stones, rippling the miniscule creek to give a beat to thought.

Set in the center of the space, as if the focus point of this entire world, this entire lifetime, was a sight one could never associate themselves with peace and tranquility. The form of "The Straight Edge Curse" Ryan Shane. The figure of Shane seemed at ease, relaxed in the full-lotus cross legged position. Any form of upper-body clothing had been removed, his canvas of a body exposed to the world around him. His countless tattoos glistened in the sunlight, springing to life in an instant. His lower body, usually clothed in some form of cargo shorts, like the ones he competed in, or jeans now wore the lower-half of a jiu-jitsu Gi, white in color. His eyes remained closed, his mind focused completely on his breathing in a state of meditation.

One final deep breath escaped his lips, his eyes opening like a glass filling with the purest water, his raven pupils focused on the camera. He said nothing at first, which in a way could be more powerful than any words that could be spoken, a technique utilized by the Buddha himself at one time. He rested his hands on his knees, now ready to speak his mind of the never-ending fleurry of events that had occured in such a short amount of time.

"There is no self, no being. The enlightend one once spoke of this, acknowledging that life is suffering, the first of the four Noble Truths, Dukkha. I recite this teaching because it shows how much of a superior being I have become, not only to all of you, but to my former self. Out of all of my discipline, whether it be my Straight Edge lifestyle, the leading of my own organization, or the various forms of self-defense I have perfected over the years, my ascendance to this higher plain of existence has been the most crucial. Injuries dwindle away to nothingness, for this body is meerly an illusion, a tool used for my conquest. Defeat fades, as it is only a temporary dilemma that has no ever-lasting effects. Everything will die eventually."

A second breath rose from the lungs of Ryan, his concentration strong.

"The wounds I suffered from the cowardice of the weak will heal. The defeat I suffered is nothing, for my true mission was a success. You all.........dance divinely, and to the beat of my war drums. It was only a matter of time before anarchy was to take place in CZW, and at any other time, I would have been all for it. Chaos, it's a beautiful thing. Order within life is so boring, it makes us all mindless cretins to the hand of justice and good. This is where I blur the line. In this time of disorder and revolution, what is more chaotic than order? What is more anarchistic than the following of rules?"

A third breath, this time accompanied by a double-hand motion, pushing down as if to physically move the air from his lungs, out of his throat and through his maw into the world.

"This is why I am here, I can feeling destiny pulsing through my soul. Ryan Shane left the safety and comfort of Boston, Massachusetts in a wrestling organization that paid him a fair amount of money to arrive in Combat Zone Wrestling and bring forth the rapture. To cast a shadow upon the light by using the light itself........................and yet, there are those who would oppose me."

Though his tone would become a bit more irritated than previous sayings, his form remained at rest, calm. He rose his eyes to the sky, the bandage upon his forehead now clearly visable. Where blood once flowed freeely now was patched. He returned his gaze to the camera.

"Heretics, cowards, the lot of you. A strike through the still of night is a great militaristic tatic, though your intent was nothing short of dishonorable. You fought for no cause, for there is nothing to gain. Your jobs? They're eliminated, gone, you have no reason to be in my CZW, no use in my order, and for that, just like the viruses destroyed by the white blood cells within the body, you will be eradicated. Bring on your Fiscuses, your Marshams, your Hudsons,...................your Kirklands, they will all bow to the one true king of CZW and worship my rule as gospel. Now, without actions my words remain hollow, and that is the point this week's Overdrive will serve."

A smile crossed his lips, the malice intended by Ryan Shane obvious tot he viewers around the world.

"Here, in the land of the rising sun I see the helix rise on my kingship. I am the chosen one, plucked from the liter by the creator himself, and as the chosen, I must lead an army to meet those who would oppose the Damage Regime. My fellow members of CZW, hear me. You are all in this, whether you want to be or not. We all don't get along, we all don't share the same ideals and opinions, but this threat, those zombies who have risen from the death that is obscurity will not stop until they have their own means realized, until CZW's heart stops beating. Stand behind me, charge the enemy under the banner of CZW and the Damage Regime, and I will deliver you to the promise land. Together, we will drive these heathens from our lands."

He shook his head, now feeling the burden of what he must do.

"Then to prove what means we will go to, I must display my power. The sacrifice will be Michael King. Michael, our business is unfinished. At Horrorcore I cost you the Intercontinental Title by dropping you on your head with a Murder Scene so thunderous it shook the fabric of time and space. Now in my glory I was blinded long enough for Ronald McNeil to claim the title as his own, a fauxpas I intend to resolve in due time, but for right now a lamb in my flock must be slaughtered to show the wolves we will not be stopped. Michael, I will end you to show Kirkland that he is still nothing. I will cripple you to show Marsham that I now sing the Executioner's Song. I will obliterate you to show Hudons that the future is black, and I control it. I will kill you to show Fiscus what sadistic truly is."

Ryan returned to his calmed demeanor, his stature fitting that of a statue crafted from the finest marble.

"This is a Street Fight, my specialty. These rules and regulations are no more, all that remains is abttle. My spike, the Nine-Inch Nail that has hung from my neck and pierced into the skull of my enemies will be like a wrsitlock, and any of my vile intentions will be cheered by the masses. Michael, arrange your funeral within the next few days, I assure you I will attend to honor a victim of my kingship. Forgive me Mother for the sins I am going to commit. Michael must be a fitting sacrifice to display the measures I will go to. If I am willing and able to destroy a potential ally to prove a point, what means will I go to with an enemy? Gentlemen, your lives are ticking away, and the ferryman has returned from his previous voyage, now ready to take half a locker rooms' worth of souls. You've awaken the demon, now you will burn in the fire. Nothing will stop my wrath, not numbers, not drive. You are simply my enemies and will be cut down as such, and when you are cut down, you will........"

One final breath escaped his lips, a smile crossing his face as he reopened his eyes. He spoke again, speaking in a calm and even happy voice.

"Stay Down."

The camera's eye began tod istort, warping around and away until corrupting to a chaotic static, slowly fading into darkness.
