This doesn't necessarily fit within this forum, but it's more a general observation I've been thinking of for a while. How many handlers in e-fedding in general actually do a decent job of selling their characters aging? I know I've tried to do it, particularly on this run with Ace (Dropped an "I just turned 34; I'd like to see 35" in one of the RPs), but I know I've also still been unable to resist the invincible nature handlers love to have with their characters from time to time. For example, if I was ever to bring Jack Abraham back... That character turns 42 in August, so as such, he shouldn't be able to do some of the things the 30-year-old version of himself would be able to do, much like Ace at 35 has had to adapt to account for losing some of his abilities as a 25-year-old. Thoughts? |

I've never really given much thought to the aging process, largely because, as you mentioned, a considerable percentage of RPers seem to have an implied invincibility about their characters. Also, since EP has technically aged from 18 to 29 during my time fedding (Jesus...), I suppose the effects of aging won't necessarily have been showing too much in terms of his style anyway. |

I would like to think I have done a good job expanding Xavier Reid over the years as he grows up and ages, he's 26 now and I sort of feel like he's still somewhat immature on many issues, but when I started out with him he was more of happy to be in the business and a little childish, thought he deserved things and was quick to align with others that would help him get to a better spot (AC in CEW and Ryan Shane/Justin Marsham with DXM) but now he seems happy on his own but doesn't see the bigger picture of what he could become because he is blinded by the hate he has towards his family and refuses to step back and look at it logically and realize they are not to blame for his own issues of belonging or the lack of it. I want to try and continue to grow him over the years and see what I can do with him when he gets into his 30's, I feel like there is still so much more I can tackle with him, its just matter of if I'll stick with it long enough to do so or if I say fuck it and have him murder a Volando and go to prison for life |

I haven't been E-fedding long enough for my characters to "mature" fully, but I'm hoping that if I'm still writing in 5-10 years I'll be able to write Leon as suitably experienced/aged. I say that because I love when people do "older" well (e.g. bits of Buzz's stuff in UKWF) as it adds so much realism to the game and expands the dynamics of a character. As for you other guys: - Ace seems to stubborn to admit he can't do things any more. - EP I have a theory about... The theory is that he is a series of guys rather than one singular individual (explaining his look changes), and they just replace him when the last one gets too broken/crazy or when he needs to do two things at once - or that there's multiple EP's at one time (again, could explain the personality swings). I'm not sure how Crystal copes with that, however. - Reid's aging could be very interesting... I look forward to the day he finds religion and tries to repent for all his sins. |

I like what Frank did with Buzzsaw, you saw the wear and tear on him and the memory loss and it made Buzzsaw more interesting to see how he was dealing with it all. I thought he did a good job with Buzzsaw in the short time he was in UKWF and wish we could have seen that place out.... As for El Pablo being several different people: (Reid): See what you idiots don’t know is there isn’t an El Pablo, there isn’t one man under this mask. He’s a character who can be played by any one of Chico’s kids or even his pick of the bastard children he has out there. All Wolfe had to do was make a donation to the Chico Volando Fund, hell he would have even put on the mask for the right price and you idiots could have had your beloved El Pablo!!! |
