Your E-Fed Journey

This is a thread that I think we should talk about with the basic journey of our lives in e-fed/f-fed wrestling.

Here's mine and I am whitewashing not in a white-person portraying a person of color, but rather shortening history and leaving things out.

I actually started in 1998 doing wrestler based promotions on e-mail and tripod and angelfire websites. One was based around South Park characters. I did X-Pac and Justin Credible in these feds.
I later came up a character similar to Kane called Weapon X in 2004 but that didn't work out. I later briefly brought him back in 2006 for WIF (see below.)
In 2005 I created Mikey King (later Mike King) in WIF and the WWEF (an f-fed.) King would be my major character over the next 10 years through several promotions in different characters. He started as a metalhead who toured Japan but elsewhere was a celebrity in WWEF. In time Mike would become a Chris Daniels like Preacher, then a bland face who got turned due to a screw-job before turning back heel as a franchise player and then a trouble shooter. King later again turned face in WIF but the promotion ended.
Then came CZW at the urging of a friend (Tim Timmons) where I met Ruth/Liz (who later brought me here.) Where Mike was at first a bland face claiming to be a phoenix. I then turned heel to align with my eventually revealed Timmons as a tag team. I then turned face following jealousy over losing the tag titles and Tim's Hardcore title. I eventually won it but left for a period of three months after losing it. Upon return, Mike King became a young but similar to Randy "The Ram" character that was an addict but no longer. This would become a thing about a year later as I joined a Straight Edge Society like group and became a weird heel in vein of CMLL's La Peste Negra. This Mike King would also bring out a Great Muta like psychotic alter ego named KING, especially during a time in 2009 when King was deserted by friends. CZW would then fold.
Mike would then join EWA continuing the wacky rudo but as a face.
After EWA folded, CZW re-opened as Combat Pro. Mike would be a tweener trying to somewhat defend CZW but didn't want the owner to continue control. Mike lead The Wayward Sons in a three-stable feud. During this run, Mike actually won the CZW World Title and was the last champion in history.
After CZW's second folding, Mike joined UKWF, first as a tag partner to a failed new character named Rob Reed and then a singles wrestler. Mike looked to gain singles gold in UKWF, prior to its closure.
After UKWF closed, I joined EWC with an attempt at a fresh new character that didn't work out. It was an attempt at doing a mix of Booster Gold and Eobard Thawne but Michael Carter failed, mainly because Mike King was inside baseball outside of his established promotions.
After my UKWF stint, CZW re-opened again but I decided to try my hand at take off of Michael Carter that was suggested to me in the form of Robbie King, Mike's younger brother. Robbie is a comic and geek culture fan boy with Mike as his mentor. Mike was ret-conned to be Michael Carter in attempt to have one last chance but then he gave himself a career ending knee injury that left him walking with a cane.

Other characters I have used included El Gringo Loco (a mock of El Generico and other "masked Mexicans"), Chris Tolwar (a Top Gun Talwar knock-off), La Diva Gaga (an exotico), Rob Reed (the aforementioned partner of Mike King in UKWF) and James Timmons (Reed's second partner.)

It was either late 2006 or early 2007 when I started; my first fed was a smaller fed contained with the old Sportsnet (Canada) boards using the AC Thunder character. It was a sort of micro-fed where everyone was mainly shooting.

I expanded my horizons with the Thunder character by going to Elite World Wrestling (now Sin City Wrestling) in summer of '07, but I was only there for a few months before their boards were hacked. A few months later, CZW opened (operated by the guy who hacked the EWW boards), and this is where the Ace King character was born and has stayed for his entire career; haven't RP'd as Ace anywhere else.

Early in 2008, within CZW's first month, a couple EWW guys raided our chatbox; they found out who I was in their recruiting attempts, so I made my way back there a couple months before their rebrand to the SCW everybody knows (But I personally don't recognize now, for the record.)

I came back to CZW in late 2008-early 2009 after four months away, then stuck it out for another five months before I burned out again. In that time, I came up with my Robb McBride character, who was supposed to be my first attempt as a heel. That was for a place called Diamond Elite Wrestling, where I had a small stable with a couple guys named Ricky Riot and Randy Rotten (That would be BK and MK to the lay-person here).

I went back to the Sportsnet e-fed for a short time as well (Though my longer form writing style didn't mesh nearly as well there), but they deactivated their boards before I could really get traction again.

Anyway, Diamond Elite Wrestling closed pretty quickly, but it was a developmental fed for what was then called Phoenix Wrestling Revolution. They brought me in right ahead of a big interfed faceoff with TFWF (Totally Fictional Wrestling Federation), and I was supposed to be part of a Survivor Series-type match. Unfortunately, I couldn't get anything posted before deadline since I was in Toronto for my uncle's wedding, so I felt like I'd blown a big opportunity.

Anyway, they let me come back after a two-month suspension, and I had some moderate success as the character gradually turned face (The story was that the heel I was feuding falsified a positive "Wellness Policy test" to explain my suspension). Just as I was hitting my stride with the character (around the time they rebranded as Phoenix Wrestling), they tried to turn me heel again. I burnt out quickly, and it happened right as a big PPV was happening; I have the worst timing with things, if you haven't noticed.

It was somewhere around here that Jacques Angryman came to play; can't remember the exact timeline on it, though.

Go to summer 2010, I go back to using the AC Thunder character, but I got burnt out with SCW. So, I left there and went to Simcoe County Championship Wrestling (SCCW), where the character had a pretty good run with a rare opportunity as a Canadian guy competing in a Canadian-based fed. That place had some phenomenal people, and it was one of those places (much like CZW) where drama was at a minimum, so I genuinely enjoyed myself there.

I also tried to start a place called Great Lakes Wrestling in that time, but it didn't take off at all because I couldn't devote the time to it.

Eventually, I went back to Phoenix Wrestling as Robb one last time and won the World Title, becoming the only 'homegrown' guy to win it. Around the same time, I tested the waters (pardon the pun) with AC Thunder in TFWF, which was the big dog on the block for nearly 2 decades; that pissed off the PW staff. I eventually left PW, but kept the TFWF character; I thought they would be more understanding as I had started a new program in school, but it pissed off PW enough that they decided to hang my character Notorioso-style to write me off.

I didn't find this out until later; to this day, I've never read the results, but one of my friends in the game told me how it went down.

I left TFWF in spring of 2012, and then I was out of all e-fedding for over 2 years (save for my very brief appearance here with The Uprising). Then, one of my SCCW buddies started a new fed called Alpha Entertainment, so I made my e-fedding return there as the McBride character. I was doing great there, but unfortunately, his staff all had to bail for personal reasons, so it closed quickly. A few months later, I went to a place called Pride and Honor Wrestling with Robb; that only lasted a couple months before closing.

That brings us to now; I had barely RP'd in over a year before I came back here for this run. I don't know how it came so naturally, but it just did as soon as I started. Could be right place, right time, but I've had a pretty decent run; Angryman is my only character to not win a World Title. It's obviously not a game about titles, but I've been pretty fortunate...

AC Thunder --> 1x Sportsnet E-FED World Champion; 1x Sportsnet E-FED Canadian Champion; 1x Sportsnet E-FED Tag Team Champion; 2x SCW Global Champion; 2x EWW/SCW Television Champion; 1x SCW United Champion; 1x SCW Tag Team Champion (3rd or 4th to accomplish SCW Grand Slam)

Ace King --> 2x CZW World Heavyweight Champion; 2x CZW Intercontinental Champion; 1x CZW North American Tag Team Champion; 1x CZW Global Tag Team Champion

Robb McBride --> 1x Diamond Elite Wrestling Destiny Champion; 1x Phoenix Wrestling World Champion; 2x Phoenix Wrestling Revolution-X Champion

The other thing feds like PW, SCW, and SCCW did was expose me to some of the game's heaviest hitters in The Experts interfed. Did a couple Extreme Tournament events, and then competed in On Hallowed Ground, which is the single best e-fed event I've ever been a part of, and I learned that I can hang with some of them while learning a lot about myself as a writer.
