(The Working Man J.A. Sawyer climbs to the top rope as about 300 fans cheer. With a signal to the audience, he launches from the top rope, and his 265 lb rotund frame slams down onto his opponent's body, and the match is over. Sawyer is handed a Championship belt as he celebrates his victory.)

Cut to Sawyer, now standing in the same venue, which is now empty of other people. Sawyer speaks directly into the camera.)

"Winning the Michigan State Championship was a blast, I'll admit. It is easy to highlight the word Champion, but sometimes, I dwell upon the work 'State'. Simply, State Champion does not cut it anymore. I want something bigger. That's what brings me to CZW I want more.

Now, I understand that this is a new title, but winning in New York City, a place where I've been only because of a layover at Kennedy International? That would be a huge way to start the next leg of my career.

And what of the other competitors? I'm trying to find video of them online, but some are hard to come by. I'm impressed that only a few Freaks of Nature dressed in black have emerged, since some Feds are packed with those types. No, we seem to have a pretty even mix of styles and types. Some I don't quite understand. Ian Chadwick's bio says he's looking for fan appreciation, but his promo video shows him beating on some poor guy who just wanted to finish his beer. Nice to see Mack Beaudin and Adam Swinger talking calmly like adults, not shrieking into every camera that comes within 20 feet! Like Tim Timmons. Oh, did I say that out loud? You weren't supposed to hear that.

And there is Zodiac Thrilla! Am I supposed to be offended by him calling me fat? It's true. I think I can affirm, beyond a shadow of any doubt, than no steroids have ever been in this fine specimen of manliness!

But what I do notice is how each and every one of them has claimed that they are the best, that they will win, and how insignificant the rest of us are. Makes me laugh. I'm not gonna brag about winning the Heavyweight title on January 10th. What's the point? On that day, one man will walk away with the belt, and everyone else will be proven to be loud braggarts, nothing more. And, in February, CZW is coming to Detroit, Michigan, my backyard, the same place where I won that Michigan State Title. I keep thinking how exciting it would be if I could walk in and out of Joe Louis Arena in front of my fans as the World Champion. You could say that I'm motivated!

So here I am, preparing for a trip I hadn't even considered just a month ago, training daily for an event anticipated. Admittedly, I'm not the greatest Hardcore wrestler. A smart wrestler watches how many of those kind of matches he signs up for. In the long run, it can shorten your career. At the same time, I seem to have some experience with construction and heavy equipment, so a steel cage is fine. Right up my alley!

Be prepared, CZW all-stars. I may not be the biggest, the fastest, or the most highly skilled. That just means I have to work a little harder that all the rest. Once I punch-in my timecard on January 10, it will be all business until it is time to go home, and hard work does pay, End of Story!"
