The Working Man J.A. Sawyer steps out of his transportation at the back of the arena wearing simple black denim jeans and a black T-shirt picturing the poster for the movie “Alien”. Even though it is hours before the show is to begin, there are at least a hundred fans nearby looking for those to enter, some carrying signs of their current favorites, and Sawyer smiles to see a few with his name on them. He quickly circles the barricade shaking hands as he goes, then heads inside to see Jenny Jacobs and El Pablo near the back entrance, obviously just finishing up an interview. As Pablo turns to go, he finds himself face to face with the Working Man. For a moment, they stare at each other.

Sawyer, holding out his hand: “I’ve seen some of your matches on Youtube. You’re pretty good. Good luck tonight.”

Pablo grins, shaking Sawyer’s hand: “I’m not familiar with your work, but I’m sure I will be by the end of the night!”

El Pablo strolls away as Jenny waves Sawyer over to her in front of the static camera. “Time for an interview?”

Sawyer: “Sure. Plenty of time.”

Facing the camera, Jenny signals to the camera man to begin, then states,
“I'm here with The Working Man J.A. Sawyer. Working Man, the show starts in just a few hours. How do you feel?”

Sawyer becomes animated, his hands moving to accent his emotion. “How do I feel? How do I FEEL? How would you feel after loading the trailer so fast that the truck driver couldn’t even finish his coffee? How does it feel when you put the level on the shelf you just built and the bubble stays right in the middle? How do you feel when that project that you’ve worked on for six months is done, and you can step back and watch with pride at a job done right? I’m excited. I’m ready to go right now!"

Jenny: : “Based on what you’ve seen, how do you feel you compare to the other competitors?”

Sawyer: “Well, we can rant, rave, trash talk, and say we’re the best all we want, but the truth is, we don’t know. Most of us are not big name wrestlers, we come from regional promotions from all over America and the world, and most of us have never met. One guy could be the next big Jobber, and the other could be the next great superstar! We don’t really know how we’ll stack up. That’s why I’m so excited. Lately, its been one challenge after another for the Working Man.”

Jenny: “What about Ian Chadwick?”

Sawyer: “I’m not even sure how we’ve reached this point. I said something he didn’t like, he said something I didn’t like, etc, etc. I’m sure he’s tough and I’m sure I’ll wrestle him at some point, but today is not about him. Its about Combat Zone’s top championship. Honestly, if I saw Irish trying to put that behemoth Ice Breaker over the top rope, I’d jump right in to help him. I’d rather have the huge guys out of there as quickly as possible instead of chasing a vendetta. Chadwick is just one of a bunch of guys who want that title, and every last one of them is an obstacle in my way tonight.”

Jenny: “And what is next for J.A. Sawyer?

Sawyer smiles: . “Right now, it is all wide open. Every title is up for grabs in CZW. I’ve even called my tag-team partner from Michigan to go for those title belts with me, so anything is possible! Hard work always pays off in the end, Jenny, and J.A. Sawyer is the hardest working man in wrestling! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to punch in before the buzzer goes off!”

Sawyer walks away purposefully as Jenny looks out for the next arriving competitor.
