CZW Superstar Ace King is training hard at a gym in Phoenix, which is merely minutes from America West Arena, site of the next episode of War Zone, where King will challenge four other CZW Superstars in a Battle Royal to determine the first IC Champion in CZW history. King notices CZW staff members Wade Richards (cameraman) and commentator Jarred Daniels entering the gym. They see King, and they hurry over to check on CZW's High-Rolling, High-Octane Superstar.

Jarred Daniels: Ace, it's good to finally meet you in person! My name is Jarred Daniels, War Zone commentator. I must say that you put on quite a show to make it to the Final Four in the chase for the CZW World Title back in Rochester.

Ace King: Thanks, Jarred. It was a tough battle for sure, but I'm glad I made it as far as I did. Zodiac Thrilla put on a hell of a performance in Rochester; he played his cards right, and that's why he's the World Champion right now. If I couldn't win it, he would have been my next choice to win it, so my congratulations go out to him for a job well done.

Jarred Daniels: Wow, gracious and humble even in defeat. Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions about yourself, as well as your upcoming War Zone match for the IC Title. Is that cool?

Ace King: Hit me... with your toughest questions. "The Gambler" is always ready and willing to talk.

Jarred Daniels: Alright, that's great. OK, first question: We didn't hear a whole lot from you in the events leading up to the first War Zone episode, so we haven't really gotten to know the real Ace King, only what we've seen in Rochester and at that casino in Las Vegas.

Ace King: Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I really wanted to train, but I had to return home for personal reasons, which pretty much snuffed any training plans I had. You see, my uncle passed away after a long battle fighting the disease of alcoholism, and I always put my family before my life in the squared circle. It was a tough go of it for a little while, but I came to Rochester and wrestled that match for my uncle. I hope he was happy with my achievement.

Jarred Daniels: Wow, I'm really sorry to hear about your uncle, Ace. I can tell already that you're a good man who wears his heart on his sleeve, which leads me to my next question: You say that you wrestle in order to entertain the fans, and not for your own selfish goals. That seems a bit ironic to me, as you were born and raised in Las Vegas, otherwise known as the "Sin City". How is it that you are able to keep your composure together and stay within yourself as far as getting carried away is concerned?

Ace King: Well Jarred, as I said before, my family comes before anything else in life. When I'm wrestling, I feel as though the crowd is my family, and they always come before anyone or anything else. I stand firm in my beliefs, so I will do whatever it takes to put on a show. Plus, I was born to put on a show, so I'll be satisfied if even one person is happy with my performance. Of course, I see where the irony comes into play, but my family has always kept me grounded in life, so I owe my composure to them.

Jarred Daniels: I can only imagine what could have happened if you had been able to train a little more. OK, one more question and then I'll let you get back to training: This week on War Zone, you'll be facing Jeremy Dart, Mack Beaudin, Chris Dee, and Andrew Arashavin for the IC Title in a Battle Royal. How do you like your chances going into the match?

Ace King: Well, I'd be a fool to say I don't like my chances going into this Battle Royal. Now, I was only able to do some minimal scouting of my opponents during the Rumble and in training, but from what I've seen, this is shaping up to be a real good match. We've all got talent, that's why we're in CZW, wrestling for titles. However, I've got the added motivation of fighting for my uncle, so I feel that I can do anything if I play my cards right.

Jarred Daniels: Well thanks for your time, Ace.

Ace King: Thank you for taking the time to talk to me, I appreciate it. Now, if you'll kindly excuse me gentlemen, I really should continue training.

With that, a newly-focused Ace King returns to his previous weight training session as Jarred and Wade take their leave from the gym. Ace is showing a renewed intensity that may very well be worthy of the IC Title.
