I thought the story was fine but it had a few moments where I thought it went one step beyond believability. The worst offenders: Mutt in the trees, flying saucer. That being said, I still thought the movie was good although not great. I also thought that the romance subplot was not given enough time. We never get to see what the initial problem was or how Miriam and Indiana solve it.

Black Rakata Posts: 2 Group: Members Member #21 Joined: June 17, 2008	I didn't mind the aliens and the flying saucer, but Mutt swinging through the jungle on vines, catching up to the cars was too much. Besides that, I liked it. I thought it fit right in with the other Indy movies. It was a fun action/adventure movie with some laughs. However, I'm not so certain they should make any more. I guess I don't want them to push their luck.

Although I think the ants were added just to fill the quota of gore, and I found the monkeys and the fridge hard to believe (not saying I didn't like the part with the fridge). I don't see what people find so weird about the flying saucer, it is Indiana Jones after all. It's not as strange as a centuries old knight, or tearing out a beating heart. (mabey this thread should be marked for spoilers)

And the ants I think was the creature of the movie: ROTLA: Snakes TOD: Bugs LC: Rats KOTKS: Ants

In Raiders of the Lost Ark when they opened the Ark, the tearing out of a heart in Temple of Doom, and and when the guy drinks from the wrong grail in Last Crusade. There wasn't anything like that in this one. Somewhat disappointing.
