The Morning Islands The Morning Isles is an archipelago far to the southeast. Consisting of 16 different islands, the Morning Islands are home to some of the rarest and most mysterious creatures of the world. The Morning Islands are populated by the Xarith, Ebony-skinned Humans who live in tribal societies. The Xarith do not give allegiance to the Huamn Clover Kings but trade the rare spices, gems, drugs, woods and other oddities with the barony of Ka-Tarak and the City-State of Carpasha. The Xarith do not follow the 10 gods but instead have their own animist religion, attributing godly power to different kinds of animals and flora. Xedera - Xedera is the biggest and main island of the morning Isles. Mainly jungle, most of Xedera's population is centered around Xicksaen, a big tribal village to the north and at Xornari, a big village to the west. Xedera's biggest feature is The Gods' Wrath, a huge towering dormant volacno in the center of the isle. It can be seen from everywhere in Xedera and even from some of the neighbouring islands. Xel-Xer-Xicksaen - the large village Xicksaen lies five kilometers inland from the northern shores of Xedera. Xel-Xer-Xicaksaen is a satellite fishermen village lying on the shore itself. Aside from fishery, Xel-Xer also acts as the main port for traders coming to Xicksaen. There is a market here. Rare armors and weapons may be bought here There are no temples here There is a shaman here there is an Inn here Travel by boat may be found here Barony of Kor The Barony of Kor is a barony of warriors and sailors, of people with a short temper and a liking for longswords. The Barony lies in the east and northeast areas of the human kingdom, bordering with the Border lands in the north, the Barony of Seleny to the west, the Barony of Ka-Tarak to thw South and Southwest and with the great Dawn Sea in the east. The Barony is ruled by Baron Benedict of House Hind. His castle is the gloomy Spiral Keep which lies in the Barony's capital, the city of Stormheim. Politically, Orcs and Elves are tolerated here (but seldom liked). Dwarves, on the other hand... well, the Koriens would rather starve to death than take a handout from a dwarf. Koriens are proud and hotheaded and never back out of a fight lest they be considered cowards. Their honor system is strict and very demanding and their laws are swift and brutal. A thief could get his hand cut off in the middle of the market square easily, for example. Barony specials: Magic Schools: Kor hosts the two greatest schools of magic in the human kingdom, one in Balad-Naran, one in Fort Savin. The Magi do not hold any special allegiance to the barony though. Hail-Wolves: Korien armies boast a special unit called Wolfriders. Riding on magically-enslaved Hail Wolves, Wolfriders are a dangeorus cavalry unit, the ferocious giant beasts often more dangerous than their riders. Xenophobes: Koriens have a deep mistrust of all other races even though they tolerate the presence of Orcs and Elves for the sake of trades. As such they are more likely to share information freely with humans than with elves or orcs. Only an act of god can get a Korien to treat a Dwarf with anything other than outright hostility and disdain. Internal Strife: Kor is not a peaceful barony. Counts and earls ruling the counties often struggle for more power within the barony. Being caught in a power struggle can be dangerous but equally rewarding. Fort Savin - The city of Fort Savin hosts the biggest Magic Academy in the human kingdom. In times long gone, the Angels, the order of human elemental magi, have made a pact with the Earl house ruling Fort Savin and in exchange for the hospitality imbued six Phoenix Feathers with powerful defensive spells and spells of prosperity. As a result, Fort Savin is always basking in an eternal spring, rain fall is as predictable as sunrise (and generally happens three times a week during the night). Rodents and pests tend to avoid the city, the rate of difficult births and stillborn children is almost zero, both in humans, animals and other races. The people of Fort Savin tend to feel content and the city is thus very prosperous. Fort Savin's walls are made of shining white marble, its streets wide and clean, its houses artistically built. It is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world, even up to par with the fabled Elven capital, Elvalie. Ruled by: Earl Merlin of House Fishermountain Population: 100,000 (mainly humans) Status: Prosperous, Peaceful Belongs to: Barony of Kor, the Human Kingdom There is a market in this City There are temples to Sirian, Kof, Blissy and Althea here there are taverns here. Vagabond Cove County - Vagabond Cove is desolate basalt region, occupying half of the northeast corner of the barony of Kor. it is north of Fort Savin, East of the Balad-Naran area and south of Eastwatch-By-the-Sea. The harsh terrain offers little room for agriculture and farming, its empty lands devoid of minerals worth mining. The area hosts several small villages who mainly make their living out of fishing. The county is called after the one Relatively safe mooring point it offers, a large cove dug into a basalt cliff side by years of erosion. The cove is called "The Vagabond cove because the entrance is spotted with sandy shallows that move around with the tides and "migrate" routinely from north to south and back again. Built above the cove is Redspire Keep, the seat of House Greensea. When traveling to Vagabond Cove, Redspire Keep and the small town surrounding it is likely the only place you'll ever find interest in. Ruled by: Countess Morganth of house Greensea Population: 12,000, mainly humans. Status: Desolate, Peaceful Belongs to: Barony of Kor, the Human Kingdom There is a small market in Redspire Keep There is a temple to Sirian here there is a single tavern here. Travel by ship can be found here Tha'nis - little is known about the island of the Seamen. Ships trying to moor next to it or send landing parties are normally attacked by ferocious groups of Seamen. What is known is that Tha'nis is the only place where Seamen reside above water. The island lies 25 nautical miles east of the Vagabond Cove. Traveling there, assuming you'd actually find a ship captain willing to take you there, is not recommended. Ruled by: unknown Population: an unknown number of Seamen. Status: Dangerous Belongs to: the seamen You will find naught but danger here |

Barony of Seleny Seleny's ore-rich hills, known as "The Grey Hills" are abundant with iron and lead, bronze, copper and other metals. Seleny has made a fortune mining them and distributing them. Unfortunately, the hills are also barren. Seleny's food production is seldom self-sufficient and Seleny trades its ores and precious metals to the Elves and the Barony of Baaka for grain, fruits and vegetables. Seleny's richness in ores led to very broad trading partnerships with other baronies, the elves and even the dwarves and some orc clans. As such the people of Seleny tend to be more tolerant towards outsiders than others. Barony specials: None Nyxia - Nyxia, city of miners and traders, is one of the biggest cities in Seleny. Stationed atop the River Sanguis, it is a nexus for three silver mines, two iron mines and a gold mine, making it extremely rich and prosperous. Despite being small, relative to big cities in other baronies, Nyxia is by all means very cultural and has much to offer for the aristorcracy. Its relative proximity to both Elves and Dwarves makes both kinds a common sight in the city. Ruled by: Count Rowan of house Sekhem Population: 30,000 (mixed Humans, elves and ) Status: Prosperous, Peaceful Belongs to: Barony of Seleny, the Human Kingdom There is a market in this City.
