2 of 47 hits at 1/1k how to do... You could use binomial distribution since there are two outcomes. http://onlinestatbook.com/2/probability/binomial.html ![]() N = 47 Pi = .001 P(2) = (47)! / 2! / (45)! * .001^2 * .999^45 So a 0.1% chance Actually u got it at 46 so its more like .099% You could say its slightly rarer than 1 gamble pet :P Edited by LHC, 24 May 2017, 05:28 PM.

Just had my statistics exam, and the fact pi is used in that equation bothers me. |

I could be wrong but isn't it rarer because it's two apart? It would make sense being 0.09% if I get them up to 999 apart not two apart? I could be completely wrong because this maths just goes a bit over my head. Thanks heaps for the help. Ty for gratz Cat! Edited by L4Y, 25 May 2017, 04:41 AM.

What he wrote was the chance of getting 2 pet drops by 46 gambles. Your spesific case back to back 2 apart or on 1st and on 46th etc. Have a way lower chance. |

Yeah but its meaningless. The chance of getting b2b on 45 and 46 is the same as on 1 and 46, 25 46, etc... they're all .099% What's impressive is getting two within 50 gambles, their spacing is arbitrary. |

The chance of getting pet is 50%. You either get it or you don't. |
