Bahamut flew over the sunny island, looking for some sign of trouble. |

[Bahamut, we're making a man out of you in this quest. BE PREPARED FOR ULTIMATE SUFFERING!...only not so much...as far as you know.] The King of the Dragons wouldn't be finding much on the sunny island. There was the occasional squawk of a creature of some sort far below, a moan from some cow thing, or maybe the chatter of some small creatures that seemed to be speaking in a human tongue for one plot device or another. It all seemed too country-like, though. Nothing really standing out in terms of politics, unless Bahamut was here for forceful takeover. |

Hostile, not so much, but politically... well, there were ways. He landed outside Delphino Plaza, and seemed to dissolve. A small, dark-skinned boy in a indigo-cowled robe stood in his place. As he walked toward the town, the Sign of Bahamut, the many-spoked wheel, could be seen on the back of the robe. (This form, the Fayth of Bahamut, is a lot less willing to obey the laws of physics. Just warning you.) |

[Well, who says physics are always involved with me? Ueeeheaehhaea!..erh..) A few piantas looked at the Fayt with a curious eye, none stopping long enough to talk to Bahamut's human form. One could probably be stopped and talked to, but most were actually acting as if they were trying to avoid the human-esque body. Some animals were starting to take an interest in Bahamut, seeing the Esper for what it truly was, which the piantas didn't seem to be noticing. |

(just a note... both the child and the Dragon are equally fake. The real deal is a stone resting in Bevele. The rest is dreams made manifest.) The Fayth walked the streets, looking for the mayor's place. He slid through the crowd, not seeming to touch anyone... or anything. |

The mayor's house wasn't immediately visible and it was hard to tell what could possibly be the house of the mayor. One pianta walked up to the Fayth, cocking his head to one side curiously, he asked in possibly the dumbest and most grating voice possible, "Heya, duya need aneh help, zur?" |

The Fayth bowed, making a motion with his hands that the Pinata did not know was a prayer to Yevon. "I am called Fayth. I am looking for the mayor. Do you know where I could find him?" |

The pianta just stared at the Fayth with a confused expression on his face. For the longest time he said nothing but stared with this blank expression. After waiting for a long time, a fellow pianta came by and nudged him. The one talking to Bahamut shook his head, chuckling obnoxiously. "Aw, shyucks, uhoohoohoo, whaddaya need ag'in, zur?" |

"Directions." Fayth waited for the creature to understand that much before continuing. |

"Durhurhurhur, wherreya goin' iffen ya wantin' de'shuns?" The creature asked with a really annoying smile. It would truly be amazing if Bahamut was able to withstand how stupid this creature was. But then, it would be evil of the Esper to just flat out attack and punish the pianta for being as dumb as it was. |

With faith, however, anything is possible. "Do you know where the Mayor was?" |

A bright red pianta on the other side of the path heard the Fayth ask this. Before the one that was talking to Bahamut could answer, the other had run up and pushed the first away. The newcomer glared at the Fayth, putting its hands on its hip area, "We don't discuss the Mayor here. You can go into the city if you're going to join him!" |

Fayth looked around. "Is this not Delphino Plaza? Which way to the city?" |

"No, you're in the country side about six miles southwest of Delphino Plaza! NOW GET OUT OF HERE!" A man wise in the ways of war once said that the best way to take over a country is to get the people on your side. At the current pace, the countryfolk would NOT be on Bahamut's side if he were to take over the place. That presented a bit of a problem. Would he stay here and help the people get to liking him, or go ahead and remove the mayor to take control? |

The Fayth considered this. He only needed control, however, not visible control, so the Mayor would still be the one to talk to. The Fayth Stepped out of sight, and vanished. ----------------- Just outside Delphino Plaza proper, the Fayth reappeared. |

[<_< Your choice...] The city areas around the plaza were relatively calm considering that the farm-folk weren't allowed in the city for some reason or another. All the city slickers were calmly and happily going along, enjoying the city being to themselves. It was almost immediately visible where the mayor's house was. He could travel along the city square for a while and find out why the farmers were angry with the mayor, or go straight to the mayor. |

He would listen to the problems. If correcting them would get him power, then so be it. The Fayth walked around the square, listening. |

A few city people were walking around, discussing random things. Only one couple really proved to be helpful at all. The female said to the male, "Really, I think that the mayor's fee on all piantas coming in is downright tyrranical! Those creatures come here to sell what they grow, they can't afford to pay entrance because they have to enter to sell." The male said to her, "Well, hey, it's their fault for not choosing to industrialize like the rest of us. Personally, I'm glad I don't have to deal with those hicks. I'm ninety times smarter than all of them combined!" |

The Fayth nodded absently. He would look into this. *vanish when noone's looking* The Fayth reappeared by the Mayors mansion, and looked around. |

There were a few guards standing in front of the gate to the mayor's house. They saw the Fayth approaching and put their spears infront of the gate. "What business do you have with the mayor?" They weren't about to let him in, it would seem. |
