Conquering the Island, Take 2; ...and call me in the morning...

"He was dead when we arrived. A monster had taken him. I can point out where his body is, if you have a map?" Bahamut's Fayth looked around, surveying the progress made.

(I'm just waiting for Diablos to start with "Old guy" jokes.)

"He's dead? Then..who's going to be mayor here?" the pianta was confused, looking around at the other piantas in the town. Odin had come back by now, his hood hanging low. He said nothing, waiting to hear what had happened from Bahamut directly.

"I would not presume to interfear, but you are in charge right now, are you not? Perhaps you can hold on to your power a little longer."

"I...m-me? You mean..me? Thank you, kind sir!" The pianta bowed, rushing off quickly. Diablo stood with his arms crossed over his chest, Odin standing with his hands being held behind his head as he looked up at the sky. What now, fearless leader? Diablo, simmer down. We've got bigger things to worry about, so stop with your sarcasm! No way! Who made him leader? I'm just as capable of being a leader as he is. In fact, I think I could be a BETTER leader! Odin took a step forward, the Divine Lance apearing in his hands. Do you REALLY want to be testing me?

Bahamut turned to look at Diablos. And what would you suggest we do, boy? If you were leader, what would you command? Bahamut waited for a responce, genuinely curious.

Odin's lance pointed at Bahamut threateningly, he was glaring and was obviously not wanting to have a fight break out here I don't want to hear anything more from EITHER of you! Am I understood? It was clear that Odin could probably force a dismissal upon both Bahamut and Diablo. It was also apparent that he wasn't afraid to do so if he needed to. Now, let's go on to the next town.

Bahamut nodded to his peer. As you suggest, Odin. Bahamut turned, conjuring up a map. So, to the village, or the harbor?

I'm going to the village.
I suggest we go take the harbor first.

Who would Bahamut go with?

Bahamut nodded to each of them. Diablos, if you run into problems, give us a summons. We'll be at the Harbor. If you don't, drop by... We may need you.

Hmph, I won't need either of you, Diablo growled loudly, transforming into his Esper form. His wings started beating with ferocity that seemed fitting for such a demon. Within a second, he was off, flying inland.

That one is too hotheaded. Imagine if we had him and Ifrit to deal with Odin mumbled to Bahamut. Heading towards the harbor, the two soon found a small farm village under attack by strange skeleton creatures. The village was along the way towards the harbor, so it probably wouldn't be too bad to drop in and help. Or, they could ignore the attack and go on to the harbor.

They are overeager, but they are on our side for now. Ifrit has long been a pain, true, but he has been improving. It could be said, Bahamut added with a quirked eyebrow, ...that we are the hotheaded ones, for stepping around protocall and prepairing to face Jake ourselves.

Bahamut turned to the attack. Speaking of which... it seems we have our task cut out for us. Are you ready to help?

Odin smirked, transforming into his Esper form also, Sleipnir thundering down from the Heavens. The one eyed Swordsman leapt onto the horse's back, weapons forming from beams of lighit. I get one half, you get the other half?

The weakest of the mini-Hades leapt onto Bahamut almost immediately, screeching in pain as it felt the flames searing its cloak and bone. This was mostly in hopes of adding the burn back to the large king of the dragons.

Odin slashed again, sweeping across the same three.
He may not be wielding Zanzuken, but that just meant elegance had to be sacrificed.

Bahamut, on the other hand, laughed as the magic of his belt kept the mini-hades at bay.

The first mini-Hades ducked down in time to avoid being hurt any worse than it already was. The next two, however, weren't so lucky. They were cut down, but not out. One lunged forward, slashing at Odin's legs.

Bahamut charged foreward and clawed an unwounded Minihades. The things were tough and well defended, but weak. This battle was only a matter of time.

The mini-Hades scrambled madly, charging forward madly and biting at Odin several times, hoping to take him down. Through all of the scrambling, though, only one actually managed to take a bite out of the Swordsman

Odin shrunk back from the bite, then swung again, cleaving his targets down to size. How are you doing over there, Bahamut?

The first Hades-ette ran forward, hopping onto Bahamut and squeezing tightly, hoping to strangle the large dragon before any more harm could befall it. The other ssimply shifted along, shaking their heads and awaiting for their chance to strike the large dragon or the swordsman down.
