Conquering the Island, Take 2; ...and call me in the morning...

As he dropped down on Sin from above, Bahamut began throwing spells at the oncoming sinspawn. Not sencing the restrictions of the multiverse closing in on him, he began throwing the big ones around- Flare, Blizzaga, and Thundaga.

Many of the flying sinspawn were destroyed by the heavy spells, the ones on the ground scuttling up and slicing at the throats of the citizens of this small town. Meanwhile, Sin himself was waiting patiently, two large tentacle like things rising up to just below the surface of the water.

Bahamut dropped through the clouds of sinspawn, the ring on his back spinning faster and faster. As he approched the surface, sparks were shooting off, and Bahamut opened his mouth, letting the energy gather there...

Sin let out a loud groan, ducking into the water as best as it could. The top of its body could still be seen, but not quite as much of a target as it was before.

Bahamut dropped verticaly, the energy collecting in front of him, on his wingtips, his baws, and in his mouth. Lower and lower he dropped, not evading or pulling out of the dive.

Moments before impact, he releaced all the energy in one massive, blinding beam. The force of the blow was enough to stop his fall, and even push him back in the air a bit. The blast formed a shockwave outward, forming a tsunami that washed across the city, washing across sinspawn and citizen alike.

And all that, was just the scatter from the beam which struck Sin, what little of it remained above the surface.

The top half of Sin was blown apart, thousands of more SinSpawn creatures shooting outwards, spreading over the entire island. Looking down below, what sinspawn hadn't been killed were brutally attacking the injured citizens who had no idea how to defend themselves. At the rate this was goig, the entire island would be destroyed and Bahamut wouldn't be able to claim it.

Using Impulse, Bahamut threw energy, blasting large numbers of sinspawn at once. He began to work his way through the city, focused on containing the destruction here, nt minimizing it.

only a very small number managed to get out of the town, each going in seperate directions. In packs, they're dangerous. Alone, they're harmless. Now to focus on Sin himself.

Bahamut circled back to Sin, assussing the damage his first, dramatic strike had done. If he had managed to pierce the outer hide, he could enter and slay whatever had replaced Yu Yevon at Sin's core.

There was definately some significant damage done to the outer body of Sin, but there was no hole that Bahamut could see to enter. Well, other than the vents that the Sin Spawn were being shot out of from time to time. Those were probably filled with thousands, maybe millions of sinspawn waiting to fight, though.

Bahamut circled Sin, looking for it's mouth. If no alternative presented itself, he would have to try the sinspawn entrance, but the longer he waited for that, the more he would recover his strength.

Its mouth was deeply submerged, much like the rest of its body. That only left the vents of the sinspawn. Though it would be a harder path, it was the only way in at the moment. Bahamut would find it amazing that the vents were large enough for his dragon form to get through, but it made sense since there were so many sinspawn getting fired out each time. The "barrels" had to be large for those numbers. After that last shot, there hadn't been a "reload," so his path was clear at the moment.

Bahamutspent a moment gathering his strength, then he dove into the dark orifice.

(End of CD 1. Would you like to save? Insert CD 2.)

OOC: stat wise, I'm back up to 60 HP, 30 EP, but I'm still out of DP. And sorry about the lag between posts.

Pitch black, darkness, nothing but pure evil was existant in this tunnel that lead deeper and deeper inside of the being known as Sin. The destructive forces that had caused such calamity and such pain in Bevelle were present here as well. Something about it felt as if they were actually stronger here. It was truly disturbing, but the ill feeling of having the tunnel closing in was even more so. Before Bahamut even truly realized it, Sin had closed off all its vents and was submerging completely, floating away from Isle Delfino. Slowly, ever so slowly, did Sin Spawn start emerging, crawling along the ceiling and watching with excited eyes over their new prey.

(Didn't we rule that Non-elemental attacks are affected by "+/- to all attacks" effects? If so, Bahamut takes nothing from this swarm, because of his belt.)

Bahamut, realizing how badly he was outnumbered, and feeling the tides of the multiverse drain his energy, he cast Haste, quick before he lost all his power. He would need the improved speed on order to rush the swarm.

The large swarm dropped down, opening up their shells to become their true, most aggressive form. Large teeth started forming around their mouths.

(... make it 6 nonelemental. I've got an additional +3 vs cold and piercing. This is going to be a really long battle, given my lack of area spells.)

Bahamut took advantage of their hesitation to rush the first spawn, crushing it under his paw. it dissolved into a small cloud of pyreflys, and vanished.

The first wave of Sinspawn shot forward at the fall of its brother. Immediately they started sinking their teeth into Bahamut's hide, energy covering their teeth to give it a nonelemental sting. the others just started circling the large dragon, sometimes giving him a temporary gap that he could cross through.

Bahamut took advantage of a burst of speed to charge through the enemy lines, taking out 2 of the slower (read: more unspent LP) sinspawn as he rushed deeper into sin. However, the swarm raked his hide heavily, and he came out heavily wounded.

7 each to 2 sinspawn with full LP.

[yeah, they're melee...so are you running or fighting right now, 'cause you'll be dead if you're fighting...]

With the brute force exploding out of Bahamut, the Sinspawn couldn't help but be stunned momentarily. Some lay dead, others stood shocked, and Bahamut now had a chance to get really far away before anything else happened to him.
