Birds of a Feather; Gullwings Reunion

Paine's hair fell over her deep red and nearly emotionless eyes again, causing her to flip it out of the way. She all at once realized that she would have to take a more active role in leading the three of them if they would indeed join together in arms once more. She had spent the most time in the multiverse among the three of them, and she was the strongest at the moment.

"For now, you two should focus on getting your bearings here." She said abruptly, but still in her usual cool demeanor, "We all knew Spira very well, and with the airship, things were a lot easier then they are now. This multiverse is a lot larger then anything we've ever thought about, and it would be stupid to adventure in it without getting the lay of the land."

Bit was probably slightly surprised at the amount of talking Paine was doing, but she did indeed tell him that the other Gullwings were the only people she had come to truly trust.

<I love it when you actually talk,> Bit's voice popped into her mind, accompanied by a soft chuckle, <But then, I always know what you're going to say, or want to say, anyways. Your voice has a nice sound to it little one. I wish you'd speak more.>

The assassin was still nearby. He often was, and was always good at hiding in plain sight. Right now as one of those times, for only Paine could see him, and her only because she was used to him. Bit currently stood behind her, slowly pacing back and forth, as if lost in thought.

Why do you think I barely think when you're around, let alone speak? Paine's mind snapped back cooly.

"There's a good chance that the Dresshphere's and Garmet Grids are out there somewhere. We just need to find them."

Rikku had remained quiet for a few moments, but something kept coming back to her mind. "Paine, does this mean we're going to have to walk everywhere?" The young Al Bhed said as she looked at the warrior then to Yuna. "I already miss Brother's airship. It beat walking everywhere?"

"...not exactly." Paine replied, ignoring Bit for a moment, "There's a good chance that Brother, his airship, and its crew is somewhere out there, even though Spira seems to have been consumed by darkness. And even if they aren't, there seem to be airship dealerships throughout the multiverse."
