Hitomi walked into the warehouse from out of nowhere. She had originally wanted to go to the courtyard to see what new items they had for sale. However, the warehouse caught the karate girl's attention and she started walking toward it with a somewhat eerie feel. Like the one her former master gave off whenever he was around, and it made people want to hurt themselves around him. "You think I would've learned to avoid this feeling." The black said as she entered the warehouse and crossed her arms underneath her breasts, lifting them up a little bit. "But no, I'm going in here and something might happen again. At least I'm stronger now anyways."

In the warehouse, after searching through the boxes where he'd hid something important, Kenshi now stood practicing his katas. His Tai Chi stance was low, with his knees bent throughout the entire kata. His hands, when not moving in slow blocks and attacks, were held in a sort of sphere over his chest. Hitomi approached him from behind, but he sensed, and heard the girl far before she got close.

"Hello Hitomi," he called out to her, continueing his slow dance of control and skill, "What brings you here?"

"Um, nothing really, but how do you know my name." Hitomi asked as she felt a strong chill sweep through the warehouse. She started rubbing her arms, which made her breasts bounce up and down a bit. The karate girl could not tell anyone why, but she had been feeling cold for a few days, like something was missing from inside her. "Sorry if I interrupted your training sir, but I just felt drawn to this place." The black belt said as she stopped rubbing her arms.

"You're not interrupting anything," Kenshi replied, continually shifting in the slow, practiced forms of Tai Chi, "I know much more about you than just your name. I also know you recently met with my daughter, or her Nobody at least."

Kenshi spun around suddenly, revealing his blind folded eyes. His blind gaze sept over Hitomi, obviously not seeing her, or at least as she expected him too, as he continued the elaborate, concentrated kata of Tai Chi.

"Wait, is your daughter Xitana?" Hitomi asked, as little shocked to fined someone like that here in an abandoned warehouse. "Better question: How do you know those things about me?" She started to rub her arms more for some reason, but then the cold left without a moments notice.

"So, what type of martial arts is that?" Hitomi asked, a bit curious as to what the fighter was using. "And isn't kind of hard to see through that blind fold."

"It doesn't matter if I have the blindfold or not, I'm a blindman" Kenshi replied with a soft grin, continueing his calm, deliberate kata, "This is Tai Chi. And Xitana, or Tifa as she once was, is my daughter, yes. As for how I know these things, your mind is an open book to me."

"How much do you know?" Hitomi asked as she took a step back from Kenshi saying her mind was an open book to him. "How much have you read in my mind? Please don't go too far in there, I have things I don't want to remember." The karate girl looked at the blind man, but something told her that he was looking back at her, even if was not with her eyes.

"Just your surface thoughts, I haven't turned any of the pages," Kenshi replied softly, "I try not to delve too deep into people's personal lives, but I can't help but read people's minds. Makes it difficult to be social sometimes."

Kenshi stood straight, pushing his hands down to his waist, and exhaling, in a symbol or relaxation, power, and control. He was done with his kata, at least for now. He'd take a short break before practicing his Judo. The blind swordsman pulled his legs up, and sat cross-legged, floating in mid air.

"So what brings you here Hitomi?" he asked after getting comfortable in a meditating position.

"Ok, because there are something I don't want people to know." Hitomi relaxed for a little bit as she saw the blind swordsman finish his kata and start to levitate above the ground without anything hold him. "So, I take you do martial arts. I'm a black belt in karate, my father taught me." The karate girl had a smile on her face now, glad to hear that this guy only scratched the surface of a person's mind. She was also interested in something else, was Kenshi really Xitana's father, or not. "Oh, I almost forgot. I'm Hitomi." The girl said, revealing what the blind man had already read in her mind. "I know you already know my name, but its more appropriate that I tell you instead of you searching my mind. By the way, what's your name?"

"I am Kenshi," the man replied, as he reached out his hand, and a katana and wakizashi flew towards him, settling in his lap, "I am trained in Tai Chi, Judo, and San Shou. However, I consider myself a swordsman over a martial artist, for that is what I am best at. I am also, if you couldn't tell, a telepath, and a telekinetic."

"I kind of figured those two out when you read my mind and started floating over the ground." Hitomi said as she sat down on one of the crates that were scheduled to leave in the next few days. "I don't like swords, I never really got into them. I much rather just fight with my fist and feet, even if my kick are stronger than my punches." The karate girl had a smile on her face still, like there was nothing no one could probably do to make her stop feeling proud whenever she talked about her martial arts.

"So your fighting style is very offensive, and probably not much in the way of defense," Kenshi mused, thinking over his own knowledge of martial arts, which being part of Mortal Kombat on several occasions, included knowledge on styles not even found on Earth, "I have a feeling if you and I were to spar, you'd lose. You'd be too aggressive, too cock-sure as it was."

"I know you would. I haven't been in the multiverse that long anyways." Hitomi said, her smiling being replaced by a look of confidence, yet an unsure look at the same time. "I'm confident in my strength, but not even that was enough to help me win the DOA tournament. I guess my fighting style is more aggressive than it is defensive, but its just how I was taught to fight."

"A fighting style should be both offensive, and defensive, but never truely aggressive. Aggresion is different than being offensive. Aggression leads to mistakes," the blind man said, "To be using an offensive fighting style is simply to be attacking more than defending. You should always be calm when fighting, and non-aggressive. But you shouldn't be too mellow either. The whole point of every martial art isn't so much to learn how to fight, but to achieve balance in how you fight, and the emotions behind it. You may know all the moves of Karate, but that doesn't neccasarily mean you feel them."

"Excuse me, but are you trying to play the role of the old monk who knows everything but won't tell anyone?" Hitomi asked jokingly as she giggled a bit and smiled with eyes closed to show Kenshi she was only playing. "Sorry, I shouldn't have said that, it was rude. Its just, I always felt confident in my style, almost to a point of being cocky. I was taught by my father to fight for what was right, and its because that he wouldn't let me enter the DOA tournament."

"Perhaps," Kenshi said with a soft chuckle, "Confidence is good, up until the point where you're arrogant. That's what causes problems."

Kenshi stood up by setting his feet on the ground. The wakizashi attatched itself to his belt, and the katana sheathed itself on his back. Starting at his waist, and pushing upwards with his hands as if he was pushing against an immense weight, Kenshi stretched out his body. Hitomi noticed that the usual sound of at least one popping bone didn't accompany this stretch, as the old man settled down into a stance similiar to some karate dialects, but his hands were open, the right one resting horizontally slightly higher than the waist, and the other slightly higher, just above the stomache, vertically resting. The swordsman's legs were spaced with the left one slightly ahead of the right, and the right pointing somewhat away from the martial artist.

"Alright, lets do a bit of sparring, and see if I can get a better feel of what to teach you," the blind man said with a soft smile.

"Okay. I guess you're taking it upon yourself to teach me?" Hitomi said as she entered her karate stance. Her feet were more than a shoulders length apart, both facing the way she would be running shortly. Her arms were not perfectly parallel to each other, with her right being a little more closer to her body, and her left being a little further out there. The karate girl was slightly bending at the waist with her hands open as if she was going to double slap Kenshi in the face. However, her hands closed into fists as a look of confidence crept onto her face with a smile. "SO, I can attack anyway I want, right?" The black belt asked as she felt her feet start itching to move from their location.

"Sure," Kenshi replied, a secretive smile creeping onto his face, his stance remaining calm, almost relaxed.

"Alright." Hitomi said as she nodded her head in acknowledgment. She took off from her current location quicker than anyone at her skill level. The karate girl decided to use her more basic moves first, and that led to her trying to slam her forearm into Kenshi's gut. After that, she performed a roundhouse kick from a stand still position on the floor, putting all the force she could muster behind the kick.

Kenshi's vision saw the movement, and her tenseness in her legs alerted him to the second attack as well. The swordsman grabbed her arm, twisting it around behind her as she attempted to complete her kick. As her leg was in the air, Kenshi took hold of her ankle in his other hand, and swept her leg that was currently on the ground, letting her tumble to the floor, but not neccasarily expecting her to stay there. He took a step back, giving her, and himself some more room, reverting back into his fighting stance.
