When the two small bodied persons arrived at the Sanctuary's gate, Paula had to set Colette down for a moment and rest. She had managed to not drop Colette's unconcious form during Tails' and her's hike from Tower's Gate.

"She has a room in the West Wing," she told Tails, taking Colette's arms up again and taking her over to said wing with his help. "But... she's lost her key."

She's heavy too.

Considering the fox only needed two tails at any given time to fly, he had conserved stamina by beginning to have on rest and alternating them as they had made their journey back here. It was clear, however, that he couldn't take much more of this.

"...don't worry about that." Tails replied, panting a bit as he reaffirmed his grip upon Colette's legs, "Since I helped build the security system, I have a submaster key that will let us into her room."

As the two reached the West Wing, Tails sighed in relief.

That'll teach me to run around doing strenuous activities right after using Chaos Control...

Paula used her own key to open the security door to the wing itself and held the door open for Tails to lug Colette into the building. Once inside the doorway, she walked back to Colette's side.

"You take her left arm, I'll get the right, and we'll just drag her the rest of the way."

She paused for moment, getting the apartment number from Colette's mind. After finding it, she sighed.

"She lives on the third floor... There're elevators here, right?"

"Of course." Tails replied with a slight grin, "I had Cream put in another couple in both the East and West wings last week!"

As he helped drag the girl, his curiosity got the best of him again.

"Why did Kefka do this to her and Sonic..." he began to ask, but then remembered the other piece of information she had given about the attack, "...and... who...died?"

They finally reached the elevator, and the fox pressed the up button with one of this three tails, not needing to make Paula bear the full weight of Colette.

"I only know as much as Colette does," Paula began. "It seems that the attack revolves around her."

There was a ding sound and the doors of the elevator opened. They dragged Colette in and propped her against the wall. Setting her feet up where the doors could close and pressing the 3 button, Paula continued.

"A few days ago Colette had an encounter with Kefka and had injuried him more than he would have liked. She had used an attack that would have killed both her and Kefka to protect this man Mouse, but she underestimated Kefka's power and he survived. Tonight, he got revenge by killing Mouse in front of her after having him say hurtful things to her. But..."

She paused, thinking back on Colette's memories of Mouse's death.

Tails stood there silently for a moment, listening to Paula. His eyes moved from the psychic to the angel and then back again. If Tails was perfectly honest with himself, he was pretty tired of hearing these sorts of stories, and was getting rather frustrated and weary of the multiverse in general. He pushed these thoughts out of his head for the moment, however, when Paula paused.

"...but...?" He inquired, a resounding ding signalling that they had reached their destined floor, the doors sliding open before them. Tails pulled a key from his pack and held it with two of his tails, helping Paula hoist Colette up once more.

"But..." Paula continued to linger as they hauled Colette down the hallway. "Upon reviewing, the moment before Kefka sent down a bolt of lighting to finish Mouse off, he was gone. In just that split second. Here it is."

She stopped in front of a door, Colette's apartment.

"I don't sense him on the moon right now... but don't be surprised if he shows back up in a few days."

Turning a bit, the fox deftly used two tails to unlock the door with the key, and then the third to push it open.

"...I had no idea Mouse had teleportation capabilities... that's very interesting." Tails replied, helping Paula hoist Colette into her room. Snagging the lightswitch with a tail, he illuminated the humble room.

"Something needs to be done about evil people like Kefka, they are given too much freedom."

"Tower's Gate would have to undergo a huge reform," Paula said as she helped Colette to her bed.

Together, the two small persons managed to hual her onto it, but she wasn't going to get a tuck in.

"There are no restrictions on who may enter. It's a free for all."

"I know, but I'm talking about the multiverse at large. They can comission some sort of police for for Tower's Gate, and should, but there's not much which is being done about people like Kefka, Roxas, the warring dieties, and the like."

As the fox continued, he righted the angel so she wouldn't fall off the bed, and made his way to the door.

"I know from experience that it can be done... even Drazhar has been dealt with."

Paula went for the door as well, not wanting to be around when Colette woke up. She had helped get her back the Sanctuary, now Paula wanted to go home.

"Just remember were to draw the line," she said. "It's easy to get caught up in a crusade with the right intentions, then get carried away with it."

Tails reached the doorway, and stopped short at Paula's words. His face downcasted for a moment, then switched quickly, looking up at the ceiling.

"...or get something taken away by it." He stated simply and lowly, as if finishing the sentance, a tone of finality in his young voice. He knew full well Paula could, and might read his mind to find the meaning behind such a cryptic statement. Instead of opening his mind up completely to whole memory like he may have, such as during Tifa and Cloud's wedding, he shut off his thoughts of the traumatic event and said nothing else, walking out of the room off to be alone with his thoughts.

Paula felt that it was a rude thing to do to read people's minds to find information that they did not want to share. By Tails leaving, it was clear to her even without her gifts that he wanted to be alone. And Paula did not want to be in Colette's apartment anymore.

Paula would dodge Colette for the next few days, and if Tails needed her for something, well, Tails pretty much knew where everyone was in the Sanctuary, so no problems there. She left the apartment and traveled down the stairs to the second floor to where she lived with Edward.

[EXIT PAULA]
