I just don't see Alshon as an elite WR and think he overly benefited from Marshall's presence. On his own, he's not in the top 16 in the league. I'd love to hear any counter arguments though.

The guy is good and I had the same thoughts on him, but I think he did elevate his game to be a top WR, however, part of being a top WR is that you need to be healthy or no real point to paying you the money and I am not sure he is that guy who stays healthy.

regardless of whether or not Jeffery's an elite WR, I'd agree that he isn't, but, then, the league is losing elite WR's left and right these days, Jay Cutler needs Alshon on the field:

Cutler without Jeffery:

239.8 yards per game

1.33 touchdowns per game

1 interception per game

93.6 overall rating

Cutler with Jeffery:

260 yards per game

1.44 touchdowns per game

0.55 interceptions per game

96.4 overall rating

You guys are probably right. He's probably better than I give him credit for and he definitely makes Cutler better. Hopefully, White can get on the field this year and give Cutler another quality option.

Alshon has demonstrated some of the best hands in the league, but once again, that catching the ball thing and holding it steady is awesome, but when he goes to the ground, he usually gets hurt doing so.
