Creating Your Own Realm on Chronicles

Innocence Proves Nothing

Any member of Chronicles in good standing is able to submit a request to host their own Realm which is accessed via a specific Group.

However, there are some limitations to consider before doing so. ALL Realms on Chronicles need to be an Original Idea, or recreated with the consent of the Original Site Owner. Original Idea does not mean that play-bys and Canon based FanFiction is off limits, it just needs to be YOUR creation rather than a copy of what someone else has done.

To help keep things in perspective and to ensure Chronicles Administration Team do not spend every minute of every day editing Realms, Group Leaders are only able to submit one Edit Request per week. The Request can be extensive and cover multiple areas the Realm, but can only be made once a week.

Realm Forum Structure:

Most Realms will typically have an Information section, and a Roleplaying Section. The Information section is essential to a Group Leader for running a complicated forum and keeping OOC and IC information in a logical format, as well as providing a place for News and Announcements. There is currently no limitation (outside of common sense) placed on the Information Forum structure, but Group Leaders are asked to keep it to a minimal. If you are unsure what you may or may not need, be sure to check out some of the existing Realms for ideas.

Every starting Realm is entitled to a maximum of 10 dedicated Roleplay Forums, which needs to include all Parent Forums. If the Realm’s Activity and Story warrant more, the Group Leader can submit an expansion request and the Realm will be placed under review.

The Essentials: A prospective Group Leader is responsible for supplying All forum Titles, Structure, Descriptions, and/or Images (subject to size limitations).

Example:

It is ideal to be prepared and to double check all the information before submitting the Realm Request. If a Forum has no Description, the Administration Team will create it without a Description.

Group Settings

Group Leaders also need to supply the Group Name, Group Description, Group Leader/s and select the Joinable Status of the Group. The Joinable Status of a group can be set to Open, by Application, or by Group Leader Invitation. The Group Description is what other Members will see in the Joinable Group list, so be sure to make it sound appealing if you want people to join.

Group Leaders can request to have a Staff Forum only they can see, or Password Protected locked Forum if they suits their needs better.

Individual Themes do take time to set up and all New Realms will be built with the default Board skin until their specific Theme is ready. To have an individual Theme, Group Leaders are responsible for supplying all Setting, Appearance, and Layout Coding and Images. Be aware that Chronicles has a Template enabled side bar which will not be compatible with all Theme designs.

Group Leaders will have full Moderation rights over their respective Realm and are strongly encouraged to request an ‘Archive’ to place old or unwanted files in, rather than attempting to use the ‘Trash’. The Trash Can is not active on Chronicles, and any Trashed topics will be automatically deleted.

Chronicle’s Administration Team does not moderate individual Realms and will not join a Group unless it is of personal interest to them as a member.
The Administration Team does, however, reserve the right to investigate any reported breaches in the Code of Conduct.
