So which one of you guys had enough balls to go out, get a PS3, then buys MGS4? Or even if you had one, who went out and got this masterpiece of a game?

I did, and let me tell you now. Having a PS3 finally paid its price-worth. The game was epic, and it still is after I beat the single player story. Along with a nicely supported online multiplayer system that coordinates based on solely teamwork and cooperation; I believe the game was worth every cent, along with the near dead PS3.

Sure, the PLAYSTATION 3 has a shitty line-up now, but a lot of ported titles along with console specific ones are coming, and grabbing hype and attention, just like MGS4. Sure, Haze wasn't what it was supposed to be, but look at it this way.

Metal Gear Solid 4 was the PS3's first step into finally coming into the console wars, and certainly with a strong push. It might be a long way from besting the 360, but MGS4 gave it an extra edge that only a so few games could do for a console, and we'll see what else comes out of Sony's asses.

Just know that the PS3 has been reduced to selling only 40gb consoles at the price of 350 to 400 bucks a pop. So if you have the money to spend, I highly suggest getting MGS4, because it sure as hell would keep you busy for a long while; maybe longer than Halo 3 and GTA IV did for me.

Plus, the game is beautiful, the control scheme isn't as cluttered as it used to be in prior MGS games, it's more seemingly like a TPS control scheme, and its more concentrated with a detailed stealth system that you're nearly forced into if you want to survive and progress. With the great storyline that finally comes together and answers all the questions that the past games revealed, this game was a perfect addition to the series, the PS3 line-up, and video game history as a whole.

I mean, it got a 40/40 from Famitsu, a 10/10 from GameInformer, and an 11/10 from IGN. What more could you ask for from a beautiful game?

Btw, the PS3 online isn't as bad as haters make it out to be. It has Private Chat (not as enhanced as the 360's, however), downloads, an internet browser (360 doesn't have one, just in case you lived under a rock and didn't know), full games for sale, demos, friends, and a multitude of system options. And the servers have the ability to simply hold more players in matches for online gaming than the 360 has shown; ex. Resistance and Warhawks.

As much as I see an obvious reason to not go out and but a PS3 for one game at the moment (though Warhawks isn't too bad itself, of course along with Heavenly Sword), I don't see a reason to not consider the oppurtunity once more games arrive in the line-up, whether or not they're ported to other systems or PC as well.

That and, if you have a PS3, get off your lazy ass and get the game already.

Unless you hate good games.

EDIT: Got a little carried away with my post... xD

Nah, ill get a PS3 when FF13 comes out. Also Zane, for xbox live most games don't run on servers. It runs on the best persons internet capability and it makes them host. Theres like only a few games that actually have servers, and those games that do have servers have alot of people.

I know that much, but a lot of the PS3 games do have a massive amount of people in most of their online games, whether or not it runs on the person's internet capability. All I know right now is that I can't host on Metal Gear Online due to my NAT or firewall.

Personally, I don't see FF13 as a huge hype thing for me, so much as FFV13 is a big thing for me. Just my taste, I suppose.

MGS4 rivaled KOTOR1 & 2 it was great awesome graphics, you could sneak or gun down everyone, insanely cool bosses, wonderful weapons, very good fighting system and it tied up all of the loose ends if you could keep up with what was going on ( I was to keep up with it easily, but A LOT of people couldn't) the story was fantastic, and there's a download that can tell you EVERYTHING that was ever related to MGS games\story and I didn't even play the previous games.

( P.S this is a extremely bold statement for me but MGS4 is at least the top three of my favorite games which include the force unleashed, MGS4,and Assassin's Creed
