* Demonic Gate A massive gateway in the far east that leads to the Inferno Realm. Once the hellish armies marched through it to wage war on the Mortal Realm. It now lays dormant and closed. Some go to give worship to the Inferno Realm. |

* Lothia Lothia is a massive city. Often called the Enlightened Capitol, Capitol of Magic, the Magic City and many more along the same idea. Lothia is the largest enlightened city. The entire population is either Enlightened or lowers. Magic is openly discussed and expressed with in the city. The city is in the middle of the Sahara and is completely concealed with in the sandstorms and therefor is invisible to satellite images and even the human eye at certain distances. Casting the Green Spell (see Green Magic^) Libra can remove the veil allowing individuals to see the city from afar. Few still travel to the city by foot considering the perils that come with traversing the Sahara. Instead most enter the city via it's Terminal^, which is by far the largest in existence. The Council^ is located in Lothia and is protected by Lothian Guards^. |

* Lothian Guard Lothian Guards are known through out the enlightened world as the most feared law enforcement. Its ranks include specialists from every category of magic and enlightenment. Their weapons range from automatic assault rifles to magically imbued claymores and crystal swords. They are the primary police force of Lothia as well as wherever council members go. Although they are technically only Lothian Guards, the soldiers assigned to protect the Council are said the be the most powerful soldiers ever to exist. They have several nick names such as Lothian Elites, Council Guards, Lothian Enforcers, and the darker, Death Knight. The first to be called a Death Knight was Erik Magil.^ |

** Erik Magil Known to the commoners as Erik Magil, adventure extraordinaire. He became an overnight celebrity after he swam the English channel and climbed Mount Everest in under 21 hours. Video records show him at the peak as proof. Some doubt his legitimacy though. * To the enlightened world, Erik is feared and hated rather then loved and looked up to. Ruthless in his judgment and faster with his morning stars. Erik is said to have slaughtered an entire enlightened town under only " the suspicion of conspiracy to kill the Council." Lothian Guards, especially those assigned to the Council have absolute power in which only the Council can overturn. |

* The Council The Council is an organization designed to regulate magic use and govern the enlightened. Their exact number is unknown. They wear large distinctive brown coats with hoods, completely obscuring their identity. They never talk unless they must. They only discuss matters in closed doors that not even Lothian Guards may enter. It is illegal to reveal the identity of a Council member. This law has only been enforced once. It came out that a man named Larry Hilt was a Council member. The next day Larry's body was found in the middle of the Council Building's front plaza with a sword engraved with the Imperial Council Seal through his heart. The Council was formed in the early middle ages to prevent the enlightened from using their powers to control the world. The basic principle is that those who can wield magic must use it responsibly. Magic in combat is allowed but using magic to manipulate those who know nothing of its existence is illegal. The Lothian Guard's soon followed the Council's creation to enforce its laws. |

* Terminal The Terminal is similar to the concept of an Airport only it serves Airships rather than airplanes. An Airship is ship capable of flight. They range from the size of personal fighters to massive cruise ships. They serve both military and commercial purposes. Their weapons are both modern technology and magical in practice. Their mode of flight ranges from advanced rocket thrusters to more magical means. No military, (aside from Lothian Guards) may maintain an Air Fleet (Fleet of Airships) Enlightened cities large enough to be considered their own city state may have a small force of airships to protect themselves. Most enlightened cities feature a terminal as do major common cities that feature an enlightened community such as NYC (in the small airport known as Westchester Airport in Westchester just outside NYC), LA (in LAX), and an artificial island off the coast of Japan in the Sea of Japan. |

* Summoner A special class of magician under the category of black magic, though it is rarely ever associated with the other black magics. Born from the beastmasters of old the original summoners were those who had formed such a close bond with their trained beasts that they could even call them to battle from a distance, or even the Ethereal Realm. The beastmasters who had perfected this skill kept it secret. Forming small hidden villages that only other "Ethereal Beastmasters," as they called themselves, knew of. Over numerous the years and research into the art the concept of summoning ancient deities began to circulate. Before long they began to go on pilgrimages to the different shrines and legendary place in an attempt to harness the power of whatever mythical being was said to live there. The term "summoner" was not used until the Emperor Narthendal sent a Dragoon to destroy Wendel, a summoner village. He had said, "They are dangerous. None should be able to summon the very gods were worship!" Under the rule of Narthendal in the Kingdom of Gren until the fall of Gren summoners were hunted down and massacred. To this day summoners are few and especially shy hiding their abilities in fear of a second "purge" may occur. **The Kingdom of Gren was one of the Germanic tribes whom traveled east and set up a kingdom in modern day Siberia. It fell roughly 123AD due to massive civil war where the emperor sent hundreds of troops slaughtering his own people. ((Notice the information known to the commoners features nothing of the magical history)) |

**Necromancer Necromancers are ancient fortune tellers. Dating far before the Greco-roman times they would perform rituals in which they spoke to the spirits of old about the future to come. It became very popular during the Roman empire and even into the Middle Ages where the Church fought vigorously to remove it from practice. It was during these years that the art of Necromancy gained its many demonic themes, mostly as propaganda from the Church in an effort to end it. Necromancer got its name from the Greek, Necro meaning death or dead and mancer that of divination. Many forms of neo-necromancy are still practiced by occultist although it is often considered a joke to mainstream as few who practice are able to actually performs the original rituals of divination. Nowa days it is nothing more than a rebellious cult like Satanists. *Although never called necromancers prior to the middle age there is another group of Necromancers that are in existence today. Originally called Circumage by ancient dwellers of the Indus swamp (during the Harrapens who were killed off by the Indo-Europeans who become modern day Indians) Circumages believed in the entire world as a cycle. From death to life and back. They practice dark arts in which they could control the line between life and death as they believed there was no real significance between them. All Circumages must actively participate in the world. The mortal and the ethereal. During the middle ages while the Church was attempting to remove Necromancy, Circumages were caught in the crossfire. Circumages, who are able to summon the undead as well as golems and perform various curses, were targeted. Not by the Church, for the Church knew nothing of the few remaining Circumages, but by those who did know of them. As a result Necromancy and Circumage was combined into just Necromancy. This new breed was able to perform both divination and the abilities of the Circumage. These magicians of the Dark Arts are very few, very powerful, and very feared. Most do not see them as warriors protecting their faith as much as they seem them as demonic worshipers who raise the dead. Although they are from demonic as the the very few texts depicting the defeat of the Three, mentions a Necromancer who traveled with the party. |

**Horadrim The Horadrim are an ancient people. When and where they lived is unknown. Their texts have been found in many languages. The Horadrim Lore is what speaks of the Three, the Demonic Gate and the Astral Plain. Scholars pay little attention to them as they are main legends. *The Horadrim writing entitled "Colors of Magic" is the basis for the entire classification of all magic. |
