That would actually be a really simple thing to do, if it weren't for this stupid battle script giving me scripting errors for using common events as skills. I'm sure theres a way around it though. The other skills I already have pre-made anyway, I just have to re-name them.

Really? Thats cool that the game can handle stuff like that, or at least theoretically.

I really need to download it so I can see what your working with.

I'll go ahead and post an update to it if you want. It's now playable up to entering the terminal. Or at least it should be if nothing weird goes wrong again. I play tested it a few times, and something weird happens each time. Should be good now though.
If you go to the right outside of Toen, you can get to the world map, but it's not finished and the passability is all messed up. If you walk over to Africa, you can see Lothia though.

lol I walked from Washington to Africa.

Well the glitchs I found:

If you talk to the Horadric Wander prior to Henzrlle it acts as if the battle is over. That was kinda expected.

But when I talk to Henzarlle I get the post battle dialog and never face the genie.

Thats about it though, the equipment/door glitch did not appear.

Those Blue Birds are still unbeatable, though lol.

You know, I looked through my battle troops, and I never put any birds in the forest. o_O
Are you sure they were birds?

Yeah, I got that too when I played through the whole thing, but when I tested it by starting in town, everything was fine. There must be something wrong with the intro, but I can't imagine what it would be. I scripted everything right...

The Horadric Wanderer shouldn't even have a diologue option until you talk to henzarlle anyway. Something must be screwing up the switches.

I looked through and its the Sahagin. The sprite just reminded me of a bird >.>

I am so not going to take over this project from you so I'm not touching any map/plot elements in the editor unless specifically told to. I am however working on battle scripts/items/weapons/etc and trying to fix battle system. A heads up with the Horadric Wander, I was thinking he should be super powered. You won't really be using him all that much except in the beginning and when he joins the party as a combatant you'd probably be facing things that are so strong it won't matter.

Well, it is your plot. I was trying to reproduce it as closely to your design as possible.

Yeah, I think it'd be cool to have him superpowered. I thought he was helping us out in the desert though.

Yea spoiler alert he's ditching everyone pretty soon, you'll notice he does that a lot.

And if the game progresses faster than the RP just talk to me and we'll start writing what happens next. I have the first major arc in mind already and ideas for later ones.

Anyway I'm working on a specific battle to make sure i understand everything. The battle will include Guile and Ashelin and the Horadric Wander vs. an enemy I made called the "Keeper of the Key." I'm testing a few things such as the summons, a new attack (with animation!) for the class Horadric Mage that I made for HW specifically. It even has its own battle music. It's just a demo of a battle though.

Oh. I kinda thought he might. Are we making different magical factions and factoring politcs into it? Cause I thought it might be kinda cool to throw in some power politics.

That's cool. At least you're getting the system to work for you. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong sometimes. @_@

Are you using the default battle system, or are you using mine?

If you're using mine, in case you wanted to change character graphics or party members, heres a few things about the battle script I used:
Keep the first slot empty, the first slot doesn't work in battles for some reason. The battle graphic and battle sprite must have the same name, otherwise the script won't work.

I'm not sure what script I'm using. >.> I just went to tools, database and edited in troops then ran a test battle. I found the Genie one it there and made edits to it as well as made a new troop with my Keeper of the Key.

EDIT: ((wow I just realized I'm incapable of answer simple questions with simple answers o.o
TL;DR: Yes politics will affect the story))

Politics wise, there are other factions like the Kingdom of Greneo as well as smaller scale tribes, and I guess you could consider the Council and Lothian Guards as a political faction. They play a role as background, entities that affect the "heros" by changing whats going on. For an example two kingdoms might go to war and then the group is stuck in between them or the group might piss off a prince and become outlaws in the kingdom.

The smaller groups will probably be seen and interactive with more. Remember, as much as I have planned this out. I'm also writing it based off your actions as well, so you could potentially change the path we take towards whatever plot twist I have in mind.
