Know I don't know how difficult or time consuming it takes to an animation, though from my experience in making complex .gifs (Which is to emphasis my lack of experience in animation >.>)

That seems like a decently sized project. If its for a class, how long do you have to do it?

Also I'm sure I could come up with an idea for any of my controlled characters but I don't know anything about a complexity limit.

At the very least, I can provide a rough description of what the demon could look like:

Concept1
Some gray armor that looks sharp to the touch, probably covered in blood
long red hair.
probably no weapon
Red Eyes

Concept2
Very plain black armor
short black hair
Black eyes.

I won't present the finished animation to the class, only until the end of the fight between Rasyd-man and another soldier. This will be finished first (and maybe colored).

And the project is due in about two weeks, so be sure that the base for the opening will be finished by then, at least. I might have more done.

Hey, I've never made a .gif, but I know how this is to be done. I can't say for sure if everything will come out how I plan, but I will sure as hell try to get it all.

Also, complexity might be an issue, as far as small decorations (y'know, like Simon's ring). Otherwise, throw whatever and I'll see if I can get it. And thanks for the demon concepts!

New development! Corel Painter Essentials 4 is crap for this project. I'll have to do it by hand. Which is actually easier than using a digital pad, strangely.

I have been proposed to to do this in South Park style! Y'know, paper animation. I wanted to see what you guys thought of it before starting.

EEehhhh.

I've never really liked the south park style. But I'd have to see what your animations look like first to make a comparison. Chances are, though, no south park for me.

To be honest I like the idea of a sort of charcoal style in colors (sort of like the Deathly Hallows explanation in HP, which I thought was really well done). I think it would work really well. Not to mention a lot simpler. Just blacks, whites, and browns, and all in silhouettes and outlines.

As for Adel, Verloren, Kel, Syl, and Saryli, I think simpler is better for them. Really fast, simple image, and then gone. Fade in and Fade out. Less details is better.

How I imagine it:

Kel and Saryli: Two men dressed like Bedouins, standing about three feet apart, looking into a vast desert with the sun in between them forming a triangle. Kel holds a small pouch in one hand (likely filled with money), a Syre in the other. Saryli holds a book, and manacles in the other. The camera shot is from behind, at about shoulder height, just enough to see their hands and what they hold.

Adel and Verloren: A close-up of a hooded sniper on a rooftop, looking at the front so the only thing really visible is a portion of the barrel, his arms and the hood. Shift to Adel, who is curled up in the corner of a burning room. Maybe the fire is laughing silently at her. The fire roars up to cover the screen for the transition.

Syl/Sylphanaea: A figure like that drawing I posted, standing in the middle of a thindercloud. She simply lowers her hand from her face and looks at the viewer. As her eyes make contact, bloom transition.

It doesn't really matter with Evan. Nothing terribly dramatic like Adel's. Just a quick flash of a small silhouette with a bottle in its hand.

Oh, and just a tiny thing if your thing is going to have voices and not text. Abdul is arabic, so you should keep that in mind if you're voicing it when you pronounce his name.

If voice acting and audio is too difficult, I'm certain this soundtrack alone could cover it.
