Wow. I have to say this one has really surprised me and I am wondering if this will connect onto Smallville especially if Allison Mack reprises the role since in the Smallville Universe Chloe is married to Oliver Queen and most of the characters are very different from their 'Arrowverse' interpretations. EXCLUSIVE: Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 Adds A Smallville Favorite

Quote:

In a recent interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim revealed that an “established” DC character “who is not from the comics” would be joining the Legends of Tomorrow series in Season 3.

“We’re drawing on an established character who is not from the comics,” Guggenheim said. “Let me be very clear: not original to the show but not from the comics and not from any of the other DC Arrowverse shows.”

You’re probably wondering why we’re reporting on this at KryptonSite: It’s because this website, long before Supergirl, was considered the Web’s first source for Smallville news and information… and the Legends mystery character actually originated on Smallville.

Do you want to know what’s happening?

SPOILERS, obviously.

KryptonSite has learned that the character who is showing up is the one who might be one of Smallville’s most enduring creations: Chloe Sullivan. As played by Allison Mack, Chloe was the show’s “Lois Lane” before Lois actually came to the show. She was smart, fun, witty, and a great friend and confidante to the show’s Clark Kent….

….and now she’s going to be a regular character in Legends of Tomorrow Season 3.

We’ve heard that Smallville creators Alfred Gough & Miles Millar are receiving a royalty for this, and that if all of the pieces come together, it might even be Allison Mack reprising the role. So far, the actress has not been approached as the producers are still laying out Legends’ third season; our sources say producers are “very interested” in casting her, and that if she accepts, then yes, we will at some point get that Chloe Sullivan-Felicity Smoak meetup of our fanfiction dreams.

Chloe Sullivan has appeared in DC Comics continuity, at least prior to the “New 52” initiative; however, she did first appear in other media, having originated on Smallville.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available. Read this disclaimer before sharing this article and if you want immediate updates on this huge story, subscribe to our e-mail alerts.

The Season 2 finale of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs this Tuesday, April 4 at 8PM on The CW.

Awesome I loved Chloe on Smallville, she was exactly what her character should have been and was treated as such, 99.99% of the time where she put Clark in his place it was for a valid reason and in reverse every time she overstepped her bounds she would get called on it and admit to it, she was a fun and real character who brought a lot of heart to the show, which in all honesty is true for a lot of the Smallville cast.

I hope the cast Allison Mack as her again because she is the character imo, but I hope they don't do a Chloe/Felicity meeting as that's would be basically here's the original and here's the lesser copy, it would be like Nightmare 1 Freddy facing Nightmare 6 Freddy, basically see how good this character was and look what Arrow has done with it, I would prefer a Chloe/Oliver scene myself.

So who is Legends losing to make room for Chloe? I hope they don't get rid of Amaya as I want more than 2 women on the show, if they lose Nate I wouldn't mind or Stein & Jax then bring in another hero with Chloe to replace them.

Probably Amaya. Otherwise her granddaughter doesn't happen. She was kinda a weak link anyway.

I agree and I loved Chloe Sullivan too and have been hoping they will add her to one of the Superman movies 'cause one of the creators of 'Man of Steel' said they had plans to have her in 'Man of Steel 2' before that movie was changed into 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' and with 'Man of Steel 2' happening again now we might see Chloe in both that and Legends of Tomorrow. From what I have read there are going to introduce 3 new characters next season and with Amaya dead and Rip gone I think Nate will be the next to leave. Unless he is leading fans on I am pretty sure Mick is staying as a regular next season 'cause Marc was talking about plans for the character next season in this new interview below. I am hoping Doctor Fate is one of the new superheroes they add or they could add the Legion members, Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad and Cosmic Boy. I am not sure if you know anything about them but they would perfectly fit into this show with time travel.

‘Legends of Tomorrow’: Marc Guggenheim Says Team’s Makeup Will Be ‘Different’ After Finale

Quote:

The crew of the Waverider is finally breaking its one rule.

After the Legion of Doom acquired the Spear of Destiny and rewrote history last week, the Legends were able to regroup and make a play to fix everything, which led to the Spear being destroyed and Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) being killed by Snart (Wentworth Miller). Essentially defeated, the team decides their only option is to travel back to France 1916 — where they lost the Spear to the Legion — and work with a past version of themselves to stop the villainous group from getting the Spear in the first place.

Variety spoke with executive producer Marc Guggenheim about the team breaking its one rule, how the team will have changed by the end of the episode, Katie Cassidy’s appearance in the episode, and more…

The Legends are finally breaking their one rule and travelling back to a time-period they’ve already been to. Does the plan go off in typical Legends fashion?

Yeah, it’s the Legends so you can imagine it’s not going to go great. What it means is we’re going to have two different teams of Legends in the finale — we’ll have the Legends from the time-period we’re going back to, and then we’ve got the Legends travelling from 2017 — so there are double the Legends for your price of admission.

They haven’t mentioned their plan to Rip (Arthur Darvill), who set this rule in place. How does he take this plan?

He’s definitely not for it, but he admits that they don’t really have a better solution. He’s kind of playing the game under protest.

Mick (Dominic Purcell) screwed up — by his own admission — in a major way when he sided with the Legion of Doom. He tried to set things right which ended with Amaya getting killed by Snart. Does he still think he can fix things, or is he pretty defeated at this point?

He still thinks he can fix it. We’ll see in the episode that he really does make the ultimate turn away from Snart, and pays the ultimate price.

So it’s safe to say that after Mick watches Snart kill Amaya that their relationship is pretty much beyond repair.

It pretty much is. Rory is going to pretty definitively choose between Snart on the one side and the team on the other.

How is Nate (Nick Zano) handling Amaya’s death?

Nate’s reaction is certainly the most profound, and it actually has consequences for the mission.

Katie Cassidy is returning for the finale as Laurel. How was it having her share scenes with Sara (Caity Lotz) again?

It’s always a delight to have Katie Cassidy come back and reprise her role as Laurel. It’s just one scene but it’s an incredibly pivotal scene, and I think it’s very moving.

I was excited to see Katie was returning as a series regular to “Arrow,” but I honestly had my fingers crossed that Black Siren would become a member of the Legends.

That was something we had talked about. For us, the whole conversation about bringing Katie back as a series regular on “Arrow” began with her performance in the midseason premiere. We briefly spoke about bringing her on “Legends,” but I think from a story perspective we would get far more mileage out of her interacting with the cast of “Arrow.”

One of the strengths of “Legends” is it has the chance to have a rotating crew. Will the makeup of the team look different by the end of the finale?

You know what? I’ll say yes. The makeup of the team will be different.

“Legend of Tomorrow’s” Season 2 finale airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. on the CW.

Well only Rip's left so if they introduce more characters they will need to get rid of some, my choice is Jax & Stein, as good an actor as Garber is this isn't a show that requires talented actors, and the guy playing Jax is like meh whatever, but they have to lose some characters because they don't have the time to give 10 characters stories given they cant even do it for 8 properly.

I'm glad Amaya is staying Nate not so much, but atleast it wasn't a S1 repeat of the Hawks and Ray/Kendra, where half a season of relationship building was just pissed up a wall and same for putting emphasis on a lacklustre character you are going to get rid of by seasons end.

I would dig a Legion/Legends mash up though hopefully they don't waste it like CW wasted so many good storylines this season, especially the JSA which amounted to zilch in the end.

Thing with The Legion aren't they more advanced than the Time Masters? So it could be fun seeing a more advanced but less pompous group of heroes interacting with the Legends, and put them in their place a little as the show irritates me how they get continuously patted on the heads like they accomplish anything when they in actuality fuck with time and reality so much they themselves are the ones needing to be stopped 99% of the time.

The Legion are light years more advanced than the ‘Time Masters’ and unlike the ‘Time Masters’ they are superheroes that actually care about people so I could see them working with the team to defeat whoever is their next villain or help fix time. Did you see them in 'Smallville?' I remember reading an interview with one of the people who work on ‘Supergirl’ where they said the Legion and Power Girl were two of the names that were being considered for ‘Supergirl’ and Supergirl was a member of the group for a while and even had a comic book series called ‘Supergirl and the legion of Superheroes’ so it would be fitting to have them appear in an episode of ‘Supergirl’ first but then they could move them to ‘Legends of Tomorrow.’ I was disappointed with what they did with the JSA this season 'cause there was SO much more they could have done with them and they could have had appearances from more members and even had some JSA villains instead of using Merlyn, Reverse Flash, Damian Dark and Captain Cold again. I think a JSA TV show would have been a better idea than 'Legends of Tomorrow' if they had set up Hawkman and Hawkgirl right and they could have had Doctor Fate, Stargirl, Spectre, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Sandman, Hour Man, the Atom, Liberty Belle and Red Beetle (which is a character Marc created for the JSA Comics) as the main stars but after seeing what the writers did to them I don't think they would have been able to handle it.

I think another 2 characters are definitely going to leave the show for them to have 3 new characters join next season and I still think Nate could be one of them or they could get rid of Ray and Jax or send Sara back to Arrow but I am not sure about Victor 'cause he has main star credit now and I can’t see them taking him off the show. They could keep him in it without him being Firestorm if they wanted to get rid of Jax.

They couldn't actually Stein needs a counter part to merge with to stabilise his cells or he'll die, I think Garber should get a Arrowverse regular contract let him bounce between the shows because he does add to the shows with his acting but the LOT writing is so B movie he's wasted on it.

Hope they don't get rid of Ray I love him, he and Mick are what really bring the fun to the show imo, Mick's meanness and Ray's happiness are perfect especially together.

Also yeah I loved Smallville and loved their episode, Garth being a super fanboy was funny to watch, that and his let down of Clark not yet being Superman, also liked the Cartoon and wished it lasted more than 2 seasons.

Yes. You are right. I completely forgot Stein needs a counterpart to survive and perhaps they could get rid of Jax and replace him with a version of Ronnie Raymond from the past since the actor has said in interviews he would love to come back again. I agree with you about Victor being better used in all the 'Arrowverse' shows but at the moment it appears a lot of them are very crowded and I hope the rumours about one of the main cast members in 'The Flash' dying in Iris's place are true 'cause 'The Flash' has WAY too many people on it. Right now I would get rid of Wally, HR and Joe and bring in a different characters like Fiona Webb and Cyborg as their replacements. I am not sure about the rights of Cyborg but they had him in 'Smallville' and Cyborg is a lesser known superhero than Superman and they had Superman in 'Supergirl' so I don't see any reason why 'The Flash' can't have Cyborg in it or Booster Gold.

I loved 'Smallville' and I am a fan of Alexz Johnson (who played Saturn Girl) and wished they had the Legion appear more. [sad]

You cant get rid of Joe sadly he's their go to towards making any plotline no matter how bullshit something to care about due to his reaction, I mean he's why I wanted them to get Wally out the speedforce because Joe was upset, Wally being tormented due to his own stupidity was fine with me but you feel for Joe.

imo they should add Wally to LOT, put Stein back on Flash with a resurrected Ronnie, have Jax leave being a hero behind, and then also LOT pick up the real Harrison Wells so Flash has Firestorm, Stein to be the sage brains, and Ronnie returned to bring more tension to Caitlyn being Killer Frost, whilst Legends have Wally who can grow outside of Team Flash and a new genius character to replace Stein but one whose less a dick and more physical.

A member of the Legion would work.

If Chloe is on the show, I doubt she'll be in the DCEU because they usually have a rule there the character can't be it and the Arrowverse.
