Wow. I have to say I am kinda disappointed by the lack of games on the new console. I loved the Super Nintendo and still have two (one still in its box) with all my old video games and it had so many great games and some I think should have also been included are

Donkey Kong Country 2 (my favourite of the Donkey Kong Country games!!)
Donkey Kong Country 3
Super Mario All Stars (This would have included Super Mario Bros 1-3 and the Lost Levels)
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Mario is Missing
Mario Paint
Yoshi's Safari
Yoshi's Cookie
Wario Woods
Monopoly
The Mask
The Lion King
Aladdin
Worms
Sailor Moon
Troddlers
Star Wars
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Tetris Attack
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Bugs Bunny Rabbit Rampage
Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind
Busby 2
Beauty and the Beast
Bonkers
Sim City
Sim City 2000
The Simpsons: Bart's Nightmare
Pinocchio
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story
Pacman 2: The New Adventures
Pocky & Rocky
Pocky & Rocky 2
Adventures of Yogi Bear
The Addams Family: Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt
Earthworm Jim
Earthworm Jim 2
Harvest Moon
Spider-Man: The Animated Series
The Jungle Book
The Smurfs
Killer Instinct (surprised this one wasn't on it.)
Kirby's Dream Land 3 (Should have been included over Kirby Super Star)
Lemmings
Lemmings 2
The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse

I might get it just to play F-zero again. I agree they need to add more games.

It looks like more games might be coming to the console and Nintendo Switch. [bunny]

Nintendo says SNES Classic Is A Form Of Virtual Console, Still Has Big Plans For Service

Whhat the heck is going on with the Nintendo’s Virtual Console? The company has been somewhat more open about certain aspects of their business recently, like their plans for a Nintendo Switch paid online service, but they’ve kept their mouths tightly sealed about Virtual Console. E3 2017 came and went and we barely got a hint. Could the concept be done for?

Don’t count on it. Nintendo held their annual shareholder Q&A this past Thursday, and one of the question asked was about Virtual Console. The response from Nintendo’s Satoshi Yamato was short and sweet, but it said a lot (thanks to Alex Aniel for translating/transcribing the answer)…

It may not seem like it now, but it sounds like Nintendo has big plans for Virtual Console, and it may be veering off in a new direction. It’s definitely interesting to see Nintendo say the SNES Classic Edition is a form of Virtual Console – could the success of Nintendo’s mini NES and SNES have convinced Nintendo to move away from an all-digital approach, and produce more physical retro products? Could we see the return of something like the Classic NES Series Nintendo released on the Game Boy Advance back in the day? I don’t know about you, but I’d buy a nicely-packaged copy of Mother 3 in a heartbeat.

Also, remember, Nintendo has teased they may be releasing new Nintendo Switch controllers and accessories for Gamecube Virtual Console games. Could we see a whole line of retro controllers released for the Switch, perhaps packaged with some downloadable games?

Of course, some people will complain about this approach. They don’t want to buy any more hardware, they just want to download some classic ROMs. That’s a valid position, but the reality is, Virtual Console has been petering out for a while now. At least doing something different means Nintendo is paying some attention to the service.

I don't know if you have a Nintendo Wii U but it has a Nintendo eShop you can buy a lot of those games from and more (including Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Kirby's Dream Land 3 but much like the games list for the new Super Nintendo Classic addition it is missing a LOT of the video games that were based on movies and TV shows (and strangely Lemmings and Sim City) and it annoys me that they can't get the rights figured out for things like that 'cause there have been a number of good games based on movies and TV shows a lot of people would like to see get re-released and I don't understand why companies like Disney wouldn't want to make money on old games. I would love it if they could work the rights out with the Simpsons and re-release all the old Simpsons games especially 'The Simpsons: Hit and Run' and 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds' is another game I would like and a lot of my male friends want 'Goldeneye' re-released and didn't like the new 'Goldeneye' game they brought out a few years ago. I have a hard time being excited about this when I know Nintendo will not make enough and the only ones to purchase it will be scammers reselling it for hundreds of dollars.

Yeah. I can't blame you. I haven't got the Nintendo Switch yet 'cause I am still waiting until 'Super Mario Odyssey' comes out to buy one (and then I am definitely getting one 'cause I really like the look of 'Odyssey' so far and have been watching a few of the previews of it on You Tube) but I don't think you can get these games on Nintendo Switch 'cause they aren't going to launch their full e Shop until 2018 but you can get them all along with all the Nintendo games on the eShop on Nintendo Wii U which you can still buy in shops. You can also buy a lot of Nintendo 64, Nintendo Wii, Gameboy Advanced and Nintendo DS games on it too for a cheap price and the console has gone down in price in recent years. I am skeptical about the upcoming Classic Edition of the Nintendo 64 which Nintendo has now confirmed is coming 'cause a lot of the best games that people are saying they want to see on it like 'Banjo Kazooie', 'Banjo Tooie', 'Conker's Bad Fur Day', 'Perfect Dark', 'Goldeneye', 'WWF Wrestlemania 2000', 'Mischief Makers', 'Diddy Kong Racing' and 'Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1, 2 and 3' aren't available to buy on the Nintendo eShop 'cause of some issues with the rights and they only put 'Donkey Kong 64' on it not long ago after it was removed for over 3 years due to Nintendo and Rare not being able to come to an agreement at the time so I don't think any of these games will be on the Classic Edition of the Nintendo 64 either. I loved a lot of games on the Nintendo 64 but I HATED the controller and i am finding myself enjoying playing games like 'Super Mario 64' and 'Donkey Kong 64' much more on the Gamepad on the Wii U so I won't be getting it.
