I don't watch the show, but this is dumb. I better prepare myself for a female James Bond, Indiana Jones, James Bourne, and any other successful franchise originally done with a male actor. Yippy! |

I don't necessarily have a problem that The Doctor is now a woman, it's that who didn't see that coming a mile away. It was all but obvious that's they way they were going to go. I would've LOVED to see an actor of color be The Doctor and it actually disappointed me when it wasn't. They rather give in to the "I am woman, hear me roar" trend than have a Doctor of color. I'm a female and I wasn't thrilled about the decision. I'm also black and I would've appreciated it more had they hired a Doctor of color. Black, Asian, Indian, I wouldn't have cared. I'll give it a chance but I still hate the predictability. I hope Bill still isn't a companion because then I'd know exactly where it would be heading...and it's not good. |
