So it seems that finally Marvel decided to make the old chemist joke about Iron Man true.

As of now, he really is fe-male.

*crickets heard in the distance, tumbleweeds rolling away*

...nobody? Fine, fine, enough lame jokes.

In yet another iron-clad gimmick by the wonderfully addled brains at Marvel, we have the new Iron Man.

Move over Tony Stark, here comes Riri Williams, the teenage MIT sensation with a bit more melanin in her skin.

Remember children, creating original characters is hard work!

What the f is going on? Thor, Wolverine? Now Iron Man too?

On a brighter note (might be the opposite for some) Doctor Doom is getting his own comic! Called Infamous Iron Man.

I like Doom's character and it intrigues me for some reason

To be fair, X-23 taking up Logan's mantle is not something I'm adverse to. It's not that different from Sam taking up the mantle of Captain America.

As for the Doom news... he used to be one of the few saving graces of Marvel, let's hope he remains so.

“As to what makes Thanos so compelling, the easy answer is that he is so powerful and so evil,” say writer Jeff Lemire, speaking with ComicBook.com. “This combination opens things up for a lot of story potential. But the truth is that it’s Thanos’ past that makes him so interesting. What motivates a god-like being like this? What makes him tick and what does he have left to fight for?”

This should be decent as it's penned by Lemire. Do you think this upcoming title is in preparation for the infinity films?
