Well folks, the forum is back up now. A few changes have been made. A lot of what is under the New Users section has been edited, and there's some stuff there you might find helpful, such as some tips and tricks to help roleplay go smoother in the future. Also, one of the major changes is the addition of attributes. Attributes are now what the skills of Agility and Reflexes used to be. I'm currently working on going back through the player files and making some transitions, but I'm going to need a bit of help from y'all. Basically the way we're transitioning over is like so: If your character has a skillslot with either reflexes or agility (we'll say agility for this example) that skillslot is moved. Before: Skill 3: Agility 2 After: Skill 3: <currently blank> Attribute 1: Agility 2 Then, since starting players are given 3 attribute points, and in this example only two of them are being used on agility, the spare point is automatically added to the only other attribute--reflexes, like so: Attribute 1: Agility 2 Attribute 2: Reflexes 1 Now, here's where you, the player, come in: Obviously, that just freed up a skillslot and you get the 2 skill points back. So guess what? You get to choose how you want that slot and those points used! Happy Birthday! If a character already has 3 or more points in Agility or Reflexes, they will only have one attribute, like so: Before: Skill 3: Agility 3 After: Skill 3: <currently blank> Attribute 1: Agility 3 Attribute 2: None If a character has more than 3 (say 4) then it will be a 1 skill point reduction for every 1 over 3. So if a character has, say, a 4 in agility, then when it is transfered over to the Attributes they will only get 3 skill points back instead of 4. Also, exactly one week has passed since the last roleplay (I'm going to do little time-jumps like this occasionally to speed time along a bit--only eight roleplay days have passed since the forum has been up.) I've checked everything and I'm pretty sure that'll work out for everybody... I could be wrong, but I don't think anyone had a roleplay that necessarily just had to happen the next day. If you did, get with me and we'll see if we can't work something out. Changes have also been made to the Speed ability, so you might want to check back with that. After recent roleplays, the admins considered it to be a little too powerful. It has been edited so that while you will still be able to attain the same maximum speed as before, it will take slightly longer. Those are just a few of the changes which have been made during the downtime. Happy posting! |
