There seems to be some confusion about the effects of a flashbang, so I did some research. To clear things up: A Flashbang has an effective range of a good fifteen yards or so. It blinds its victim (flashbangs emit a brightness of one million candella). Subjects affected by flashbangs describe seeing a single frame for the five seconds (as if their vision was "paused") until it fades and normal sight returns. The Flashbang also creates a loud ringing sensation (in effect deafening the victim) and disturbs the inner-ear, causing the victim to entirely lose their sense of balance. These effects last for a minute. I realize this isn't how we've always done it in the past, and that the difference may or may not have (depending on the roleplay, most it would've have) effected the outcome of roleplays in the past. However, now we know, so let's continue with this knowledge in mind. So in summary, the effects of a flashbang are: 1) Victim loses sight for five seconds 2) Victim loses hearing for roughly a minute 3) Victim loses all sense of balance for roughly a minute So, you two who got flashbanged, you should be able to see pretty soon, but you won't be able to hear, walk straight, or pretty much make any effort to move away for a minute or so. Attempts to walk under the effects of a flashbang now require a diceroll. |

Gotcha... How come all these heroes get to play with all these super illegal toys like flash bangs and grenade launchers and stuff? Isn't the government going to get just a hair miffed? Even if they are heroes don't they have to play by the rules? |
