Animal manipulation. Not talking to animals exactly, just the ability to use them. More intelligent animals would be harder to control, higher levels would allow you to use them for things less natural to them. Plant manipulation. Similar to the above. At earlier levels, you can simply accelerate and direct growth, but at greater levels you can use plants as weapons, making trees strike at people and such. |

Minor powers: These are powers that only have one (or maybe in some cases two or three) level. I'm thinking that you could have these as a "normal" human, rather than a meta, and just sacrifice a skill point. These are powers which would not help you in combat or anything, would not require a weakness just kind of develop the personality of the characters. These powers could be made up and submitted with each new character. A few concepts are: Music. The character generates his own background music, according to his (or her) mood. Hair. The color and length of a character's hair changes according to his (or her) mood. This can include bizarre distinctly un-hair-like colors Eyes. The color of a characters eyes changes according to his (or her) mood. This can range from normal colors, to glowing red. Things like that in general. |

Well the first two abilities that Zangtang suggested can be accomplished in theory via brain ability -perhaps singularity fields if you have some lite knowledge in chemistry- Magnetism can also pull off animal control, though I don't know about plants -but I'm sure that they have magnetic material in there somewhere.- Music could fall under the brain ability or gadgets -not that you would want to waist points on it- But with the brain ability you should have precise muscle control, allowing you to simulate your vocal chords to play anything that you hear -car wreck, gun shot, you should be smart enough to confuse ones perceptions by making something sound somewhere where it isn't. This is assuming that your character is a guy, guys tend to have a much larger voice box then girls.- Hair and eyes would fall under chemistry and brain -and whatever garbage you put on your hair\eyes. You do know that they make odd colored contact lenses- Since you have more control over your physical properties that is usually controlled by your subconscious, you should be able to pull off some pretty mass changes with the brain ability in a couple of days. |

No, these aren't powers I want for my characters. (necessarily, come to think of it, they would make for a funny gang-composed of sort-of-metas, and led by one "real" meta) those powers were just examples of a new concept. Powers that aren't really usefull for your character, but just sort of develop the story-line in interesting ways. |

Oh, and the animal and plant things would not be "minor powers." Just want that to be clear. |

Those powers are actually quite pretty powerful. I was actually wanting to submit the plant\animal ability for a character of mine named Forest. You would be surprised at how powerful just plant manipulation can be -Lots of plants has poison in them- Animal handling should be self explanatory, it wouldn't be no small ability -I mean being eaten alive by sewer rats isn't the most comfortable death for an officer. Or bats for that matter- You'd be surprised of how many abilities can cause a lot of damage -X rays should be able to cause quite a bit of damage to someones body at a certain level- You just have to use your creativity to figure out how to cause certain damages using that ability. |

...except that that ability allows you to see X-rays, not emit them. |

Unless it's a gadget\brain\light\plasma\magnetitics\Optical illusions\Invisibility that's emmiting the x-ray waves. But then I would prefer just using the abilities another way and not waist time generating xrays :\ |

No, the animal and plant things would NOT be minor powers. They would be NORMAL powers. And Blur, what do you think of the minor power concept? |
