OOC: This is a private RP between myself and Raccoon. If you wish to join at a later date, meaning after it has been well established, post in the OOC thread of your intent. This was started to go along with my Idiots Guide to Role Playing to show you what an RP can be like.

General Meliodas paced back and forth outside the conference hall as he waited for President Lang Veriizeon to end his current meeting. As soon as he decided to leave, a group of the Raccoons emerged from the room. Meliodas casually slipped past them and through the open doors of the conference hall.

Lang approaches the general with a slight limp, but maintains a friendly grin. He extends his paw in greeting.
"Glad you could make it, Fleshy." he says. "How's Alexandria been treating you?"

"I must say, I find rather curious. Back home, Mocanaqua is kept under lock and key which has led to many not even believing it exists. It's harder to attack a myth." Meliodas grinned at Lang. "Anyway, in light of the recent attacks across Conch Kingdom, especially this one so close to home, it has come to my attention that the Grand Alliance of old kept these to a minimum."

Meliodas paused as he let the idea sink in.

"While many of the old nations in the alliance have long since dissolved, I feel our current allies would make a formidable enemy to any who pose a threat."

"That they would,"
Lang led the general to a relatively small table, where the two men sat across from each other.
"But the question is, what kind of allies do we want? We must be careful about who we consider. Membership might give some of the less, ehh, predictable leaders a sense of immunity. People can be less cautious when they're sure others will back them up."

"I feel The Heghan Empire would fit in well, maybe the Shan if they ever come out of their hole. We definitely need to inform members that they won't be able to do as they please. The Grand Alliance will still march against member nations if they act against our views."

Meliodas pulled out a few folders labeled with various leaders of Conch Kingdom. He slid them across the table.

"This is what we have on the powers within Conch Kingdom."

"I agree."
Lang gave a light chuckle as as he read through one of the folder's contents.
"Reminds me of middle school gossip," he said. He laughed again, and then sat the folder down.
"These will be helpful. Let's discuss the structure. How will power be distributed in the Alliance?"

"I say split the power three ways between three governments. That insures that no one nation controls the whole alliance. It also allows at least two nations to condemn any member of the alliance that acts against the alliance, while never splitting the alliance directly in half. Aside from those three, any nation that joins the alliance falls under its protection as long as they give their support. Helghan seems a likely candidate for the third leader if they decide to join."

"The Helghast have acted as arbiters before, and I have no doubt that they'd do it many times more. I think it's a perfect choice. Will veto power be an aspect?"

"No one nation or person should have power over the entire alliance. Too much power rests with the person or persons that can tell the whole alliance 'no'."

"Good. Mistakes like that would only cause division. Now, should we lay down a few ground rules?"
A sharply dressed young man entered the room carrying a tray with two cups and a teapot. He approached the table and blissfully set the tray down, then taking his leave. Lang poured the cups full of steaming hot peach tea, placing one next to Meliodas, and carefully slipping from the other.
