The amendment in progress can be found here: Amendment Proposal.

I fully expect this amendment to be the most controversial amendment I have written to date, for any region I have ever resided in. This is not only largely changing the Conch Code, but rather completely removing an entire tier and abolishing 6 positions (three of which are currently unfilled). I encourage the opinions and concerns of both sides be posted here for civilized discussion.

I'm going to once again say, this is a temporary, self-repealing amendment

It does seem that the Justice System is quite a burden. I would approve this amendment.

I see......

Why just the MoDA? Why not all dept. heads? That makes more sense than handing just one person all of the judicial power.

Because it remains the MoDA's job to oversee domestic affairs. The other officials have their own things to do. I'm not saying only the MoDA can act on crime. I'm saying that if a question arises about legality issues, the MoDA is responsible for knowing the answer.

Sure, but having one person interpret is unsafe. I think having all dept heads would be wiser.

I think not, because if one person is coming up to question it, why make them wait on a bunch of people agreeing. Bureaucracy slows the system. Which is why we are removing the courts in the first place

Yeah, but no safeguards are equally as bad. Sometimes people need other people to question their decisions and create checks+balances. What you propose gives far too much power to one person when it needs to be split up among several people. That's why in the US we have 9 justices on the supreme court and why we had 3 justices here. I think it would be wise to expand that power of interpretation among a few other existing officials.
