Before your country can officially take part in the Altverse community, you must first go through the application process. Before you apply, make sure to read the Rules and the official page. In addition, you must provide a link to the main article of the country you plan to be using. Although strongly encouraged but not required, the article should be of decent length that provides sufficient information about the country. Be prepared to make the necessary changes to your country before it can be deemed a part of Altverse. Under no circumstance may you add your nation, claim your nation is part of, or otherwise insert information that may give the impression that your country is in any shape or form connected to Altverse and/or its material until you have been given explicit approval from the community consensus/moderator.

I am somewhat hesitant to say yes for two reasons - *The British would try and annexe Canada as part of their empire (especially after the American civil war) *America would treat Canada worse then Cuba. And we know that Cuba has really suffered from embargos over the years. My suggestion would be to have it as the parts the french colonised as part of their empire - that being the modern day provinces of Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, (Newfoundland and) Labrador, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick. Or, in layman's terms...... The green bits |

I am not really that open to supporting this because frankly I don't see the RP value in this. Seriously, look at all the nations that Fallout has been RP'ing. THEY'RE ALL STRASSONIST. Now don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against Strassonism, but frankly it seems less like this nation is being put forward for the RP value and more that this nation is being put forward just to make another Strassonist state. Seriously, one of the reasons put forward as making this nation is "would like to expand Strassonism". I'm sorry, but unless there's a much better reason for this I don't see how I could possibly support it. |

Jeez. I only like to RP states that reflect my political views. That is what Strassonism is. I don't really get the issue with this. You aren't saying this to DoW, all of his nations = Communist/Socialist/Fascist pretty much. |

Difference between him and you is that he has more variety in his nations, even if they can be grouped together in broader categories. To conceptualize it here it is:
So, there's a huge amount of variety with DogofWar's stuff, even if a good number of them have gone inactive. This is compared to the states that you are RP'ing, of which every single one is Strassonist. I have no problem with you RP'ing states that reflect your political views. That is not the issue here. The problem I have arises when things start getting to the point that you're just adding nations just for the sake of spreading your own political views across the world. Seriously, I may have 2/3 (depending on whether or not you still count Kolhar) nations but of those nations only one of them reflects my RL political views (Akitsu), and this is because I feel that if all the nations I RP reflects my political views then the RP value of said nation is significantly diminished. |

Actually, the UC is Sunkists. ![]() In my defence I work through my nations in periods (a week on Sri Lanka, a day on the falklands, etc), and have started to scale down on my nations due to my high standing in Altverse. India has been reduced to Sri Lanka, Zaire to Kenya etc. I also welcome any criticism of the countries - if you have a problem with them message me, and I will try and reach a compromise. |

I totally get where you're coming from. Who said this new nation is going to be the same as Westland? I have purposefully tried to make it different. |

A possible idea may be that Strassonism may be implemented differently in Vesperia. If you look at the Eastern Bloc states, each where Marxist Leninist or Stalinist, but implemented it in different ways. Romania was the most extreme with a large personality cult, a focus on Romanian heritage, tight control on the populace and nasty punishments, as well as having an unstable economy. Hungary (under Kádár) was moderate with social freedoms, although the secret police monitored potential dissidents. Poland went through great political and economic turbulence. East Germany looked like a nice "socialist paradise" but was controlled by a ruthlessly efficient secret police. Yugoslavia had an odd economy which I can't really sum up, but it wasn't centrally planned. There's the USSR as well - but that's really hard to sum up. Finally there's Albania, which is essentially just North Korea. Now ofc I can't see Albania or the USSR to be templates, but if you maybe made Vesperia politically different (could be more capitalist, could be more extreme) I can see it working. |

Essentially, another Strassonist state isn't wrong but the form and extent of its practice should be varied--just as [x]ism in one place means one thing and a totally approach meaning/use in another, like DoW said, it could be more capitalistic, radical, etc. Quite honestly, a Strassonist Canada does seems logical and even interesting although I definitely believe its structure and policies be modified to the context/consideration of its very influential neighbor, the United States. The social aspects of Strassonism (forbidding/officially stigmatizing hate groups) are fine but perhaps the economic structure of Canada allows more flexibility and leniency towards private ownership, thus a varied Strassonist state that is more receptive to a market-oriented economy.

This is exactly what I was planning to get into to with Canada. A slightly different (maybe wrongly implemented) form of Strassonism. |
