I was thinking that in the interests of roleplaying we should announce beforehand any major events in Altverse and their outcome, and discuss the possible roleplaying opportunities. What do I mean by this? Well, lets take an example. The Flanders Revolution started off well before disagreements over its outcome kind of stalled things a bit, causing the event to go into limbo. My suggestion is that before we go writing about conflicts, coups or other events that will include other nations we should post the idea on here first and see what people think of it. This should especially go for territory that is not under any players control, as it could hinder a future applicants chances. Because I this for example I am removing the Bulgarian Revolution which didn't really go anywhere anyway, and propose a system where if you want to create an event that does not involved your nation you should seek community approval first, especially if its in the interests of expanding land and power. |

I agree, only so much that the outcomes/reactions to these proposed events under this system should be let up to each person themselves. I agree that there should be discussion about the possible direction in the events but they should remain what it is--guidelines, not definitive objectives. I'd like to keep the ambiguity and spontaneity (within the constraints of realism) that makes roleplay fun and imitates the real world. |

I meant really that we should be more careful of messing around in other nations not claimed (especially ones that could be important on a geopolical scale), and that if you were planning to annexe land you should make it clear to an extent. Obviously if its interaction between two player controlled nations its up to the player. |

Ah, that makes even more sense. I support sort of system. Since we require applications for new nations, why not require permission to do actions regarding non-player controlled countries? |
