I'm taking AEM 2100 now and Van Es is a GREAT professor. She's so bubbly and enthusiastic about what she's teaching. The TAs are also very knowledgeable and willing to help. I've heard that PAM 2100 is the easiest and AEM 2100 is in the middle. Either way I highly highly recommend AEM stats

Definitely NOT MATH1710. Lectures not helpful at all. Professor was monotone, though nice and tried to crack a few jokes. The textbook was amazingly helpful (and funny), and I learned everything from the textbook. Prof let us take formula sheets for 2nd prelim and final, tho. |

Statsci2100/ILRST 2100 is pretty good. Karns gets really into what she teaches, and you can tell that she cares about her students. The prelims are multiple choice and you get a cheat sheet, but there's a lot of work using Minitab since she assigns analysis exercises. |

I took AP Stats, which I think lines up with the MATH stats class. Let's just say that I studied maybe for an hour, and pulled off a 4 on the AP exam. All I know is that the HARDEST stats class is ENGRD/ORIE 2700. For precisely the reason engineers are required to know calculus-based stats if the major has them need it at all, the Engineering College doesn't award credit for the AP stats exam. -_-||| |
