Katsuki was sitting in the room, looking around at the piles upon piles of boxes. She sighed, her slender hands coming up to unhook the cable covers from her hair. She muttered under her breath as the bobby pins stuck to her hair. She then turned to Toshi, and he smiled at her.

She smiled back, but it was a very sad smile.

"Toshi..." she asked. Guro was hibernating on the windowsill. "Why can't we be normal?" She leaned against him, and his body was solid.

"I wasn't programmed that way," he teased lightly, though there was a thread of truth in his words. His eyes turned worried, and he turned her chin to look at him.

"I loath to break our reverie, but I need to charge before our roommates come back."

Katsuki sighed. She nodded her consent and Toshi grabbed a cable from under his shirt. It came out of his left shoulder blade, a place that was easily hidden and inconspicuous. He plugged it into the wall and picked up one of the fake plugs that Katsuki wore day in and day out.

"Is it really so necessary for this charade?" He asked her, playing with the small bit of plastic.

"Yes. Most assume that a persocom will love their owner. Or that a male owner may like their persocom more than strictly necessary. But a male persocom? They aren't many to begin with... and people would try to separate us... even now..." She trailed off, choked on tears she refused to shed.

Toshi shifted on the floor without speaking, settling Katsuki on his lap and cradling her in his arms. He simply held her, no words needed.

Kuira and Hideki made small conversation until the meal was finished. Sada remained silent for the rest of the meal and once she quieted, so did Yukio. He had no one to tease anymore if she stayed quiet. After the meal Hideki payed for it grudgingly before they stepped out into the cool night air.

"Thanks Hideki-san. That was very nice. We don't know a lot of people here yet so its nice to know there is someone we can talk to." She smiled graciously.

"Henhenh...no problem." He smiled back before they began their walk home. Kuira was completely unaware of Sada and Yukio in the back as she continued to chat with Hideki, however, if she had been paying attention, she'd have realized just how mean Yukio was.

"So, Sada-chan." Sada looked away from the annoying and cruel boy, not willing to play a part in his little game anymore. Yukio frowned. IT was no fun when she wouldn't respond. He smirked, sticking his foot out in front of the girl. She easily stepped over it but she wasn't expecting him to lift his foot while she was in mid step. She fell to the ground, angrily. Sada stood, looking down at her knee which had been scraped in the fall.

"Did you have a nice trip?" He laughed at her. Fire seemed to burn in her eyes.

"What did I ever do to you?" She asked, catching him off guard for a second. He wasn't expecting that level of anger to come from her. Yukio quickly regained himself however.

"Nothing, you just really piss me off for some reason." He frowned, his finger on his chin. "Maybe it's that ugly face of yours? Or possibly...no, it couldn't be that." He answered the question quite honestly but at this moment he looked away, obviously thinking of something. Sada kept walking ,trying to ignore him but the pain of her knee kept coming back as a painful reminder. It wouldn't of hurt so badly if she hadn't just scraped them earlier that day when she had been pushed to the ground. The memory made her eyes sting.

They didn't have much more time for Yukio to insult her as they had reached the apartment building.

"Thank you Hideki and Yukio!" Kuira smiled brightly and waved goodbye to them before turning back to see Sada's back. Sada had already begun walking toward the apartment, not caring whether Kuira was following or not. She entered the apartment, Ami right behind her. Her eyes immediately rested on Toshi.

"GET OUT OF HERE!" She rushed toward her own room and locked the door shut. Kuira came in seconds before her blow up. Sighing, she removed her shoes and sat down on the ground in exasperation.

"When did she get this much hate for guys?" She asked mostly to herself, sighing.

"Sada you shouldn't have yelled." Ami said to the girl, who was now pulling her nightie over her head.

"I don't care. I don't like him." She said, leaving her dress on the floor of her closet like bedroom. It was true what she had said before, about there being no room for Toshi. Kuira's room was not much bigger then her own, and there wasn't even a third room for Toshi. Meaning he would get the futon in the living room. It wasn't even a living room as it was the kitchen and dining room as well.

"But why Sada?" Ami asked as she pulled back the covers on the bed for Sada and herself.

"Because he's stupid, and dumb and mean like all boys." Sada replied as she climbed into the bed. Ami merely rolled her eyes at her owner, before plugging herself into the wall. She then climbed into the bed beside Sada, and pulled the covers up over the two of them.

Ami was just settling into sleep mode, when quiet sobs caught her attention. She wanted to say something to Sada, but she didn't know what. She did however know what to do.

Soon soft music was coming from Ami's side of the bed. Sads's tears slowed, and quieted so she could hear the music. Eventually she was lulled into a sleep, however tears still in her eyes.

Kuira spent most of the evening keeping to her room, and unpacking this and that. She heard quiet voices from Sada's room for a while. Soon it all became silent again, as the child settled down to sleep.

"Never even said goodnight." Kuira sighed as she unpacked another box. She quickly realized this box was not her things at all, but Sada's. And what she had just pulled out was her sisters favorite blanket. She smiled a little and left her room.

She slowly opened the door to Sada's room, so it wouldn't make a sound, and tiptoes in. Once in she noticed there was soft music playing. It took her a moment to realize it was Ami who was playing it. Sada looked to be fast asleep. Kuira quickly sneaked over, and placed the blanket over the child's small frame.

"Sweet dreams shrimp." She said, as she shut the door.

((can it be the next day yet? lol))

Kuira awoke on the floor, a coat draped over her. She didn't know what time it was or anything or when she had even fallen asleep the night before. She stumbled as she stood, the bright morning light blinding her momentarily. Eyes watering, she made her way toward Sada's room and banged on the door.

"Sada! Wake up! It's morning!" She wondered to herself if Sada was even there. Suddenly she smelt food in the small apartment. Stepping back from the door and looking over the mountain of boxes, she noticed Toshi carrying a bag of food.

"Kuira! I brought breakfast for all of us!" Kuira smiled brightly at him, excited at the fact that she didn't have to go buy breakfast or attempt to make some in the mess of an apartment.

"Thanks Toshi. I'm just going to try and wake up Sada again." Toshi nodded and reached into one of the boxes to find some dishware. Kuira moved back to Sada's door.

"Sada! Breakfast is ready! If you don't come now, there'll be none left!" She listened for a response but heard none. Possibly Sada was still sleeping or perhaps she had left earlier but she imagined it was the first idea. Kuira shrugged her shoulders and headed back towards Toshi to help him find some cutlery.

"I figured since I owed you dinner and you were busy last night that I'd buy you breakfast instead." Kuira just smiled happily, being a sucker for food she was easily excitable. The two then began to eat happily away, with Kuira setting aside portions for Sada, whenever she woke up.

Katsuki stayed to the side of the door, listening in on Toshi and Kuira. She leaned back and sighed, a very un-persocom reaction, but there was noone to hear her.

She had gotten up at dawn to trudge down to the market all persocom-ed up and bought breakfast and groceries for the next week. It was the time that most persocoms went, and so the maintain their charade, that is when Katsuki went.

She had returned before anyone was awake and eaten her breakfast while conversing with Toshi. He made her laugh and smile even when she didn't want to, and it was her suggestion that now saw them at the door of the new neighbors.

Katsuki glanced down, taking in the school uniform she was wearing. Obviously she was too old to be in school, however it was a cute outfit, and persocoms had been dressed in odder clothing...

That was the main positive point of this charade. She got the wear the cutest clothing ever, and she loved it. In fact, she decided then and there to go change.

She left the hallway to go back to her room and look through her trunk. There were so many flouncy and ruffled dresses, and she finally ended with a white and pale, pale pink combination. She left the fake ears on as she tied the petticoats and then laced up the front of the dress. It was a sweetheart neckline, with small poofy shoulders and ruffles at every edge. The front laced up with a slightly darker pink ribbon, the same ribbon as the one that wove in and out of the ruffled bottom edge. The pristine white petticoats poked down past the skirt, and she took an extra length of ribbon and wrapped a small section of her hair in it.

Once she was finished, she looked at herself in the mirror and smiled. At that point, she left the room and went back to where Toshi was now joking over breakfast. She knocked politely on the open door, and waited for Toshi to turn.

When he did, his entire face lit up.

"Katsuki... you're... beautiful."

She tried very hard not to blush, and succeeded rather admirably.
