Miya awoke many hours later. The Gundams were still flying, though from the looks of it, they were well within the earths atmosphere by now. There was no way they could have accomplished this without having the thrusters set to full the entire time. Even with the plants orbiting around the earth, they were still quite a distance from the atmosphere last she had checked. She looked up at Lei, who was calmly piloting the Fury. She hadn't noticed Miya was awake yet. Miya closed her eyes again, willing the pain in her head to go away. she went over all that had happened in her head. The fight, the plan, the stolen remote. Everything. Even Jamal's Gundam getting blasted to near pieces....

"JAMAL!" she shouted, sitting up suddenly. She had reopened her eyes in time to see the bored Lei jump out of her skin at the sudden shout. She looked to her cousin, who was now scrambling toward the control panel, panic in her features. Before she could do anything, Miya had already brought up a video feed with the Whisper. She stared for a moment, at the beat up looking Jamal. He was staring off at a different screen, typing slowly for him, not paying any attention to the video feed. Other then the scrapes and cuts across his face from the blow he took earlier, he looked perfectly fine. Relaxed even.

"Oh!" Miya said softly, slumping back onto the arm of Lei's chair. She smiled, and let out a relieved laugh. She had thought him to be dead, or near that at least. Her exclamation caught his attention, and he peered over to her screen, to see who it was and what they wanted. He smiled upon seeing her awake, and smiling at him.

"Good morning to you sleeping beauty. How you feeling?" He asked. She stared at him, bewildered by his question. If anyone should be asked such a question as that, it should be him.

"Me? How are you?" She asked him, in that same quiet voice, "I thought I lost you. I'm so glad your okay."

"Please. How am I supposed to rescue you all the time, If I let myself get killed? Its going to take more then that to get rid of me Princess."

Miya only laughed. Every part of her ached, but she laughed all the same. She sat there forever it seemed, just smiling at him, and he just sat there smiling back, before Lei cleared her throat and snapped them out of their happy moment. Miya looked over at her, and hugged her. Lei stayed still for a moment before hugging Miya back. There seemed to be no end to the Yamato's happy mood, and Lei sure didn't seem to want to spoil it. When Miya finally released her, she retreated to the corner she had been laid in before. She looked over to the screen where Jamal had been before, and was surprised to see he had cut the video feed.

"So what do we do now?" Miya asked Lei. Lei responded that they were going back to ORB. Miya relaxed at the news. She couldn't wait to get back to her aunt and uncle, and mother and father. She wanted to apologize to them for everything, and she wanted to help defeat Anakin and Mameha and the rest of the stupid rebels. She was itching to get back into the Stardust and blast their stupid heads off.

Oh No! The Stardust!

She jumped up again, and opened a call to the plants from the Fury. Lei let out a frustrated sigh, and almost pushed Miya away, before the call was answered.

"This is Yamato Miya calling about the ship that is docked there. They have my Gundam, and I wish you to get it back for me at all costs." She said to the general when he picked up. She was in another panic over the loss of her mobile suit.

"They have already left Madam." The General responded "However they left the Gundam behind. We have someone making repairs right now, and we will be sending it to Orb tonight."

Miya breathed another sigh of relief. Though a thought burned in the back of her mind. She thanked the General, and ended the call. She stared out the windshield of the Fury, watching the land and water pass by beneath them. According to the map Lei had pulled up they would be there in two and a half hours. They couldnt move any faster then they were now, as Jamal's Gundam was too beat up to fly properly, and Deron had to pull him. That and their fuel supplies wouldn't allow the extra energy. She sighed and sat down on the floor, leaning her head on the arm of Lei's chair.

"They're going to come after us you know. Anakin won't give up without a fight." She said softly to Lei.

"We have no other choice. Our Gundams need to be repaired before we can even think of them. Though personally, I'd rather take the fight to them then give them the pleasure of attacking us first. I have a lot of payback to send their way." She gave her cousin a weak smile even though her head was ringing with a major headache. The bruises on her wrist were now a deep purple. No doubt Deron would be on her about it later.

Lei began typing again, this time opening communications with Kylie and Jamal while quickly running a diagnostic on the Whisper. It seemed Jamal's GUNDAM would survive the trip but only barely. The basic functions were intact though heavily damaged.

"Kylie, when we get down there, will you be able to take care of everything? You'll need to go over the procedure with her parents and the medical crew. There is a chance they won't trust us. I've not had the best influence down there." There was now a grimace on her face. Any trust she'd gained previously had been shattered in her last visit. Despite her need to be with her cousin, Lei actually had no desire to stay on Earth. She was content to figure out the answer to the questions that pounded in her head. The pounding mixed with the intense migraine that had crept up on her during the fight.

"I can only do my best Lei. I owe you my life on more than one occasion. I'll try to repay that by saving your cousin." Kylie smiled reassuringly as Lei let her head slip back a bit against the chair. Her typing began to slow as she brought up the video communications with Deron as well.

"Good job up there guys. I'm sorry for what I did and I'm not talking about the fight. I'm sorry for everything I've put you through and the hardships I've made you face. And Jamal, I'm sorry I put Miya in so much danger. It won't happen again." She spoke with finality, hoping no one would question it. She did indeed have her own plan formulated in her head now and she knew the others wouldn't accept her ideas. It was very risky and she would only have a small window of opportunity to pull it off.

"I'm just glad we all made it out of there, despite some injuries." Deron's voice came in, breaking the momentary silence. He gave her an odd look as if questioning her tone earlier. "But if you ever do something as risky as that again I'll..." He paused, trying to think of what to say. "Hell, I don't even know what I'd do to you, but it'd be terrible! Divine punishment or something." Lei laughed lightly, noting Deron's frustrated yet caring threat to her.

"Yeah, yeah Mr. Big-Shot. But this isn't my first risky plan that's worked." He frowned and reminded her of all her failed ones as well. Rolling her eyes, she looked down at Miya.

"Jamal. I'm sorry. You can yell at me or anything, whatever you feel like right now. I won't do or say anything back. I deserve any punishment you give me." She then turned back to Jamal's face on the screen, ready to take any punishment he wished to dole on her. She deserved anything that was coming her way afterall. It was after all entirely her fault Miya had even been up on the rebel's ship in the first place and it was certainly her fault that the chip had been placed in her cousin. If Lei hadn't been there, Miya would be living her peaceful live back home with no knowledge of where or who Lei had become. Jamal would be safely with her and her parents. Everything would be better.

It seemed trouble followed Lei Zala.

Miya sat still , watching the screen, and listening to Lei. She got lost in her own thoughts a little more then once during Lei's long apology. Her head hurt terribly, and it was difficult for her to focus on something for too long. She also found her eyes continually drawn to Jamal's reopened video feed. After the initial acknowledgment that the feed had been opened once more, he didn't look at them at all. This confused her greatly. He didn't need to pilot. What was it that had his undivided attention?

She tore her eyes away from him and closed them. She listened to Lei again, wondering what it was that seemed off about her. The way she was talking, it was as if she were thinking of leaving again. Miya didn't like the thought of that. She had just gotten Lei back, there was no way she would let her leave again. No way. As if she were trying to prove her innermost thoughts true, she grabbed hold of one of her cousin's hands, and held it.

Jamal looked up at the video feed with the Fury, only for a second. He frowned when he noticed how Miya seemed to be clinging to Lei. That couldn't be a good thing, especially if the Zala didn't plan on sticking around. Though Miya was strong, determined, and independent, she was also fragile. She was over emotional, stubborn, and always searching for approval. When she was betrayed, she crashed. Hard. She had just began coming to terms with her cousins absence not ten months before Lei had made her reappearance in Miya's life.

He sighed, going back to his program diagnostics. He would have to talk to Lei in private, find some way to let her know that she couldn't keep appearing and leaving like this. It would only tear Miya apart, and Jamal couldn't let that happen. The poor girl was broken enough without having a constant reminder of her beloved cousin's betrayal lingering in her life. That was a hurt that Jamal, no matter how hard he tried, would never be able to fix.

It was hours still before they landed. When they did there was a giant commotion, and Jamal practically had to shout his demand that none of their parents be brought to see them until after the medical teams had looked them over. The last thing he needed was his mother fussing over him at the same time as the medics. He knew from experience that Miya's father would not give her a moment's peace if he got hold of her as she was now. No. Better to hold them all off for the time being.

When his own exam finished, the young GUNDAM pilot started picking his way across the room to his princess. She looked a little dazed and confused still, and she was continually arguing with one of the medical staff. He had seen her like this before. She just needed someone familiar. Poor concussed Miya was trusting of no-one. Jamal stopped halfway there, noticing Lei was just finishing up nearby. Something was still bothering him about her grand little apology speech earlier. He didn't trust it. He didn't trust her.

"She never got over it you know." He said quietly, moving to stand beside her while keeping an ever watchful eye on Miya, "She cried herself to sleep almost every night for a year after you left. It was as if she lost a sister, and in a way I suppose she did. I know you don't plan on hanging around long, and I'm certainly not going to force you to stay. I just want you to be careful when it comes to Miya. She may seem strong, but she is very breakable. One wrong move, one disappearance, one reason for her to think you betrayed her again....It will shatter her."

He looked down at Lei, a pleading sort of anger in his expression, "I can't keep piecing her back together forever, hard as I may try. Sooner or later, she is going to lose her will to live. Her reason to keep going. One of these days she'll realize she's lost you forever, and then I'm going to lose her. If that day ever comes, you become my number one enemy."

He walked away from her then for two reasons. The first was because he couldn't stand next to her any longer without wanting to cause the girl harm. The second was that Miya had become very argumentative, and the medics needed his help. He hoped Lei would give his words some thought, and reconsider her not so secret plan to leave. In the meantime, he would have to find some way of keeping Miya from becoming too reattached with her cousin. It would only lead to heartbreak, this little reunion of theirs.

She listened calmly, not letting any emotion show in favor of either path she could take. Lei had decided hours ago to not give another hint to her possibility of leaving. It had seemed a bit too obvious earlier. Now she'd have to play it like nothing was going to happen without getting too close to Miya. Luck was on her side it seemed as Jamal thought the same from what she could tell. The man didn't want her near her cousin and Lei didn't want to be here. This was a part of her life she couldn't return to anymore. First chance she had, she'd be gone.

It might break Miya but Lei was confident that with the aide of her parents and Jamal, the girl would heal over time. Lei would become a distant memory, a dark shadow in the back of people's minds. Deron however was a different story.

"Enough. I wish to rest in my room for the remainder of the day." She waved the medical staff away before gathering her things and beginning the trek back to her living quarters. One of the medical staff jogged to catch up to her fast pace.

"Miss Lei, please return. We still wish to run some tests on you to make sure your internal systems are unharmed." The woman tentatively placed a hand on the younger girl's arm. Lei snapped her arm away from the woman, a cold and rather sinister look covering her pretty face. The woman recoiled as if her hand had been burnt, her eyes full of worry. Lei glared at her a moment longer before continuing down the hallway, their conversation going seemingly unnoticed.

The odd stares she got were all too familiar. What surprised her was the ease she had walking through the building. Hadn't her previous visits warned them enough about her nature? She didn't exactly have a clean record with ORB. Lei reached her room easily and entered, locking the door behind her. Her lithe body almost collapsed beneath her but she strengthened her reserve. It would do no good to lose her will now, after all she'd been through.

The dark haired girl strode across the room to the balcony. The breeze was refreshing against her skin, reminding her of old, buried memories of days long past. The small smile on her face was quickly replaced with a steely stare at the scenery. Lei turned from the window a moment later, unable to handle the flow of memories the scene had been causing.

She needed to plan her escape very carefully. There would be no turning back this time. she had to be ready to leave behind everything she'd ever known.

Deron passed through the medical check up rather quickly as he was barely injured. In fact, his GUNDAM hadn't taken much damage in comparison to the others. He had no doubt that he'd soon be called by the adults to recount what had happened with the rebels but his concern right now was Lei. There was something in her voice earlier that worried him. There had also been an odd emotion hidden deep within her eyes. He'd noticed when they'd docked the GUNDAMs and meet with the medical team.

"Excuse me, which room is Lei in?" He questioned one of the nurses who happened to walk by where he was waiting. She smiled lightly and pointed just across the hallway. With a nod and a thank you, the brunette rose from the waiting chair. He'd barely gotten a few steps when he noticed Lei storming down the hallway. Deron had in fact arrived at just the right moment to see the look Lei cast the poor nurse. His eyes narrowed. There was definitely something wrong with her, and not in the medical sense.

He started down the hall in order to follow after her though she kept a fast pace, almost causing him to jog in order to keep up. Fortunately, his legs were longer than hers and he was able, with some effort, to stay a small distance behind her. Lei didn't seem to notice his presence though as she quickly stepped into her room. Deron could hear the lock click shut behind her as he raised his hand to knock.

"Deron, could we talk to you for a bit?" He sighed and turned to face Cagalli and Lacus with a nod.
