Kallai made her way through the ship toward the main bridge. Her dark brown hair flew behind her as she maintained a fast pace through the halls. Throughout the halls people calmly moved, not knowing what was coming for them. She smiled sadly, passing by the people until she made it to the bridge.

"Captain. I need to speak with you." She spoke calmly but was waved off. The captain was busy discussing battle plans with his first lieutenant.

"Captain, I really must-" She was cut off by his abrupt speaking.

"I'm currently busy as you can see. Please come back later."

"But Captain-"

"Not now Kallai!" His angry voice seemed to echo throughout the room. Kallai stood, deciding whether to speak out of term or not. It was extremely important but he might not even believe her. Her conscious won out.

"ZAFT is planning to launch an attack against us tonight!" She screamed it out and everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to her. The captain himself paused.

"And how do you know this?" Ederick, the first lieutenant asked, looking her directly in the eyes. She looked back at him angrily.

"Enough Ederick. She is one of the alliance's best pilots. We do not need to question where her information comes from. She has saved us many times before." Ederick frowned but held his tongue.

"Hara, prepare the ship for battle conditions. Seken, warn the GUNDAM pilots. Everyone else, prepare yourselves. They won't go easy on us this time." Kallai left the room and ran to the hangar where her Gundam stood. The rest of the hangar was basically empty as everyone was eating dinner and after that they'd most likely get briefed on the coming attack.

Kallai stood at the foot of her Gundam, the Rage. She ran her hand over the foot of the large machine, thinking over how she had gotten to this point. It had never been like this before, when she lived back in ZAFT territory. Back then, she was always forced to be better than everyone else. Her father wanted her to take over for her uncle Durandel no matter what and her mother could have cared less. She always found a way to deal with the stress and still live happily with her cousin. However, her father didn't want Kallai to spend time with her cousin. He refused to let Kallai see her cousin and when she went against him, he had tried to kill...

Kallai brought her hands up to cover her ears as she sank to the ground in a moment of weakness. She could remember the screaming, the pain. She moved her hands to rest in front of her face but all she could see on them was blood. It dripped from her hands down her arms, covering her. Her thoughts were then interrupted as somebody walked into the hangar.

"Are you okay?" Kallai looked up to see a blue haired boy addressing her. It was Auel, another skilled Gundam pilot of the Earth Alliance though Kallai rarely saw him or even talked to him. He moved closer to her, stopping only a few feet away.

"I'm fine, I just have a headache." She had to be extremely careful around the other pilots. She was a coordinator among naturals who fought only to destroy her kind. Nobody was aware of her secret luckily and for the moment she was safe.

"That's good. We can't have any pilots letting their emotions get in the way of their work." Kallai stood and leaned against her Gundam, staring Auel down. He smiled at her and walked past her only to stop and look up at her Gundam.

"But then again, it'd be no problem for you." Her eyes went wide for a split second. He knew something. She decided to play it cool so as not to give it away. Kallai sighed coolly.

"I suppose someone without emotions would have no problem. Or should I say, no memories..." She smirked as he growled slightly in anger. Then he did something unexpected. He rounded on her and pushed her into her Gundam.

"That has nothing to do with you." He said angrily, half whispering. She only glared back at him.

"And I have nothing to do with you, so back off." She went to push him off but he moved himself first.

"Fine. As long as we both know that." And with that he walked off toward his own Gundam. She grit her teeth and took in an angry breath in an attempt to calm herself.

"One day..." Kallai then turned back to her Gundam which dropped it's cord down for her.

Kaboshi walked towered the hanger thinking about her uncle and what he expects of her. 'Remember to do your best' ran through her head until she heard a voice from behind her, and she turned around to see Lunamaria.
"Hey are you feeling ok?" Luna asked as she caught up to her.
"Ya. I was just thinking, thats all" Kaboshi replied, smiling at her as they entered the hanger .
"You know, you're pretty lucky to have the chairman for an uncle. He's a great man." Luna told her, knowing that something was wrong.
"I know, but it's just that everyone says that I'm a spoiled little brat who gets what ever I want, but the only time I get any special treatment is on my birthday." Kaboshi stated, a hint of anger in her voice.
"Well me, Shin, Ray, and Athrun don't think that" Luna said, a smile on her face. Kaboshi looked at her.
"Come on lets get ready" she said, walking to her Gundam, and grabbing the cored that lifted her up to the cock pit of her mech.

"What happened?"

"Pushed too hard on the thruster, She's a nervous wreck."

"We've been at this for months. Cagalli will have a fit if she ruins another."

"I know.....Alright Shino that was good. Take a break we'll try again later."

Hirogawa Shino let the cockpit open up. She could feel the cool air from the training grounds come rushing in, but she did not move. She was hopelessly....hopeless. She had been training for the past two..almost three months, and she hadn't done much more then destroy almost fifteen GUNDAMS. Hopeless.

"Its okay Shino. You'll do better next time." She looked up, and saw through her visor, Kinamoto Fai smiling down at her. She smiled back, underneath her helmet, and accepted his hand so he may help her out. As opposed to waiting for the cable lift to lower them, they climbed down the large structure of the GUNDAM toward the medical team waiting below.

"Helmet off please miss." The medics were bossy as ever. Shino pulled off her helmet to let down a wave of waist length brown hair. Her unnervingly emerald green eyes, followed the little light that was waved in front of her face, and even shouted in protest as the tonge depressor left a splinter in her lower lip.

"Suit off." She rolled her eyes, and unzipped the suit she had put on over her clothing. Underneath the regulation jumpsuit, she wore a pair of flared jeans of dark Grey, and a light purple tank top, lace adorning the bottom.

It took another ten twenty minutes for the medical team to finish their examinations, then she was allowed to go. She walked alongside Fai, barefoot, holding her black flip flops in hand. She didn't question where they were headed, Fai alwyas came up with something to do, she just needed to space herself from her latest failure.

"I think, I'll be like Miriallia. Brig worker." She finally broke the silence.

"You could do all the systems checks before launch. I would be comfortable with you in charge of my GUNDAM. I get my own tomorrow you know!" Fai smiled at her yet again. That was the type of person he was. Always smiling.

"Cool. What will you name it?"

"Shino maybe." Fai said with a laugh. Shino punched him in the arm, a smile on her own face now.

"Miss Hirogawa!" A shout sounded from behind her, and she turned to see, a boy run up to her, "Madame Attha wishes to speak to you."

Shino nodded, and gave a helpless look to Fai as she was dragged away toward the main office building.

Kallai sat inside her Gundam going over the settings. She tried not to tamper too much with the coding of her Gundam otherwise the repair crew might discover her being a coordinator. She checked the diagnostics, pausing for only a moment to pull her hair into a ponytail to get it out of her face. The system was okay so she locked her controls once again before placing her face in her hands.

It was hard keeping up with the fake act she had to put on. Though she must have let it slip at some point as Auel obviously knew something. Her slender fingers rubbed her temples. "What am I going to do? If he knows my secret, he could tell anyone." She sighed, knowing he now held an advantage over her. She barely knew him as well so he had no connection to her that would stop him from telling everyone. Kallai just had to trust he wouldn't tell, it was like walking on thin ice.

She opened the cock pit and hung to the cord as she slid toward the ground. There were only a few hours until the fight would begin and she still had to change. Kallai walked quickly through the halls toward the change room. Once she got there, she noticed the room was empty and decided to take a shower to calm herself.

The warm water immediately soothed her as her mind began to drift. She wondered how much longer she'd be able to stay aboard the ship. And how much longer she could hide the fact that she was communicating with a ZAFT pilot, her own cousin Kaboshi.

"Kallai...Kallai..." The sound of her father's voice began to echo throughout the change room. She tried to cover her ears but the sound kept coming. "Kallai...you mustn't hurt daddy..." Her eyes went wide as she backed up to the shower wall, her mouth open but no sound coming out.

"No...Kallai! No!" She could hear her father screaming, feel the blood running down her arms.

"No!" She screamed back at the haunting voice.

"Someone there?" A familiar voice came floating through the room, breaking through the ghostly voice and bringing her back to reality.

"Ah, sorry! I slipped!" She lied, before glancing down at her arms. There was no blood, just warm water trickling down them. Kallai shook her head and quickly finished her shower. She wrapped a towel around her body before stepping out into the cool air. She immediately noticed Stellar, whom she realized the voice had belonged to.

"Oh, Kallai!" Stellar's voice was slightly surprised. Kallai smiled slightly in acknowledgement as she walked to open her locker. She let out an angry breath as she gazed in.

"Something wrong?" Another voice entered the room. It was Mylie Varach, a less skilled pilot, but never the less a comrade.

"Yeah! Some idiot decided to play a prank on me!" Kallai pulled her pilot suit from her locker. It was in tatters and somebody had written all over the remaining parts.

"Who would do such a thing? Oh, there's something else in there!" Mylie pointed out as she walked to her own locker nearby. Kallai pulled it out to find it was a complete outfit, but not one she'd ever be caught dead in. It was a cute black t-shirt with glitter designs on it as well as a pink pleated skirt complete with arm and leg warmers.

"Oh it's so cute!" Mylie spoke out. Stellar had remained quiet for most of the conversation. Kallai only really talked with her on the battlefield so any socializing in normal environments seemed awkward.

"She doesn't really wear cute things." Stellar said aloud, causing Mylie to jump slightly. Kallai nodded in agreement.

"First of all, I hate girly clothes. Second, I hate cute things. And third, I absolutely despise the colour pink. Besides that, who would take the time to ruin my pilot outfit just to replace it was a coordinated outfit? Whoever did this is either sick and twisted or insane." Mylie shrugged before fully changing into her own suit. Stellar had already changed from casual clothes into her normal outfit and she was just pulling on her boots.

"Man, they chose the worst...or I suppose best time for them...to ransack my suit. It's laundry day for me! I can't wear my other clothes, they're all dirty!" She whined slightly, receiving a laugh on Mylie's part. Grumbling she changed into the outfit. At the moment she wished she could just disappear. She was going to kill whoever did this to her.

Kaboshi sat in her GONDAM doing a systems check "All systems are operational" she said putting her hair up and her helmet on, "Am I clear to launch?"

"Aquamarine clear to launch"

"Kaboshi Durandel Aquamarine launching" and with that she launched into the depths of space. She continued typing on her keyboards pulling everything she would need for the upcoming battle, online. Looking up from her work, she noticed the enemy ship launching their own GUNDAMS not far away. A smile spread across her face at the thrill the upcoming battle would give her.

"This is it." She murmured to herself, while she waited for the others to launch.

"That is the fifteenth in the last three months. If you don't get your act together You are fired got it?" Cagalli was all but shouting at Shino, who stood silently nodding along to everything The blonde spit out at her. Every time she opened her mouth, the woman kept going and going, so Shino figured it better to let her run out of steam. She understood why she was angry though. Anyone would be upon having fifteen GUNDAMs ruined by one person.

"Miss Attha if I may ask something?" Shino finally spoke up when she thought it safe.

"What?"

"Well Madam. As we can see, piloting a GUNDAM is not working for me at all, and is costing you too much. If I may be permitted i would like to try my hand on the brig preparing the Mobile suits for launch?" Shino stared directly ahead of her, wanting to avoid eye contact.

"Fine. Do as you please just do not destroy another GUNDAM we have yet to fully repair five of them." Cagalli said, the anger gone from her voice now. A smile spread across Shino's worried face, and she happily turned away, as the Attha waved her dismissal.

"Well?" Fai asked as she found him in the games room.

"You are now looking at a proud new Brig worker!" Shino said, doing a silly little dance as she said it.

"Good on you, Now are we going to play this game or are you going to dance all day?" Fai asked, leaning against his pool cue. Shino giggled, and picked her own cue up.

"I believe Its my turn to break." She said knowingly.

"You wish." Fai pushed her aside, and took aim.

Mokitsu Karin tapped her fingernails across the table, her eyes zoned out and focused on the screen in front of her. It was ZAFT security footage that she had hacked into mere moments before. She watched for a moment, grabbing the pass codes. Just as quickly, she retraced her steps and deleted all traces of her entering their system. Then, in a separate window she used the pass code run through a shipboard computer to enter their intelligence program. She quickly found her name and all information on herself, getting rid of all traces that she was anything but a normal civilian. They had made some preliminary inquiries, and she wanted nothing to do with either sides of the war. In fact, she had already hacked the ORB and preformed the same task. She would not delete herself entirely, that would simply raise suspicion.

With that completed, and all traces of her meddling gone, she shut off her screens and stood up, stretching her back and cracking it in the process. She turned and opened her door just as her father was about to knock.

"How do you always do that?" He asked her, jokingly.

"I'm just that quick and awesome," Karin replied, smiling. A shadow crossed her father's face, a moment of a frown. Karin blinked, the look was only milliseconds before he was smiling again.

"I'm heading off to the park." Karin grabbed a light sweater, as it became cooler in the evenings.

"I don't think you should be leaving your rooms," her father started. Karin rolled her eyes.

"Dad, I'm fine. I can take care of myself."

"What about the militaries?" He asked. Karin schooled her face into a blank mask. She had been trying to keep their interest in her a secret from him, as she didn't want to worry him. She also knew that he was scared mindless of them finding her, for no reason she could figure.

"It's fine. I'm going. I'll be home later. For dinner," she added, before her father could say anything. She left the rooms quickly, heading towards the park. Once there, she sat on the swing and mindlessly started swinging, not seeing what was in front of her. She was focused on the problem of her being flagged as an interesting subject and why.

She had no idea that she would never make it home for dinner.

Kallai walked through the halls, Stellar and Mylie at her sides. She received many odd looks in response to her unusual attire but she tried not to let it bother her. Nor did she show the fact that she actually found the outfit very comfortable.

The three made their way to their Gundams. Stellar and Mylie got into their Gundams quickly so they could run a few diagnostics before launching. Kallai however knew she didn't need to run the mas her Gundam was always in perfect condition hours before take off. Kallai would request that a repairman look at her Gundam hours before launching and afterwards, she'd code in any repairs needed so that people would think the repairman fixed it.

Looking around the hanger, she sighed. As she had earlier that day, she leaned against the foot of her Gundam, closing her eyes and listening to the noises of people preparing for the oncoming battle. Kallai realized the gravity of the situation but she couldn't help but find the noise slightly calming.

"Nice outfit." She opened her eyes to meet Auel's blue eyes. Her anger level rose quickly. For some reason, this guy completely irritated her.

"Whatever." Kallai said angrily, reaching for the cord hanging above her. "It doesn't matter what I wear just so long as I kick their ass." She was truly just trying to comfort herself but she earned a small laugh from Auel which caught her attention. Her green eyes observed him, finding it impossible to look away from him.

"What're you starin at?" He asked, causing Kallai to break out of her stupor blushing slightly. She tried to regain herself.

"Oh nothing, just something extremely ugly." She smiled sweetly before tugging on the cord to raise her up. She watched Auel walk away angrily as she thought to herself. Why had she locked up when he'd laughed? What was she feeling at that point? It wasn't anger or anything of that sort but her heart had started to thump. Kallai shook the thought from her head as she entered the cockpit and activated the Rage.

Communications were immediately started up, as the deck opened up a visual with her. Hara appeared on the screen, smiling.

"Hey, Hara?" The girl on the screen looked up at her, urging her to speak her mind. "Do you mind if I launch a little early? I haven't been out in the Rage for a little while so I think I might be a bit rusty at the controls." Hara turned from the screen for a second, obviously talking to someone else.

"Captain says it's alright so it's alright with me! I'll just open the launching bay. Prepare launching dock." The Rage began to move along the set tracks on the floor of the hangar, heading on it's way to the launching bay. Kallai gripped the controls in anticipation. She loved being in her Gundam even though she hated fighting.

"Rage, prepare to launch. Vitals are at 100%. Open launch bay doors. Set thrusters at 76%. ." Hara said a few more things as Kallai waited to launch. then the point came and even before Hara said anything, she knew.

"Rage launching." And with that the Rage was thrust out into the open space. Her mind wandered to thoughts of the upcoming battle. She wondered who would survive it this time. Kallai had hoped that by telling the captain of the upcoming attack, less people would get hurt. Truth be told, she had no idea what was going to happen and that worried her.

Kaboshi looked around at the the GUNDAMs that had just launched form the enemy ship as if she was looking for a certain one. She looked for a wile she seemed like she was in a daze but she could hear the voices of her teammates.

"Kaboshi" Luna called and she looked at the girl on her screen.

"I was trying to count them and you made me lose count" she lied looking angry

"Why do you need to count them we're going to destroy them right" Shin said appearing on her screen grinning

"Some one seems full of himself" Kaboshi said smirking at the boy "And I was counting them cause you guys take to long to launch" and with that she looked back at the enemy GUNDAMs

"Well your always in a hurry when theres a battle coming up" Shin said looking at the enemy GUNDAMs as well as Luna and Ray

"I think we're all eager to start this battle" Ray said in a calm voice looking at everyone then at the GUNDAMs

"I say we let Kaboshi start" Luna said looking at her then the other two

"It's okay with me what about you Shin?" Ray was still using his normal calm voice

"Fine by me just someone start" the boy looked a little inpatient looking at them

"Hey wait a sec wheres Athrun?" Kaboshi asked looking around for the boy and the savure "Is he not going to join us in this battle" she said sarcastically

"He said he wasn't feeling well"

"In other words he's playing chicken" Shin cut Luna off "Maybe it's a good thing with the way he's been acting he'd just get in the way" he didn't like Athrun

"Well enough talk lets go" Kaboshi was now heading for an enemy

The Rage blasted out into the cold void called space. The communications rose up again but this time Mylie occupied the screen. Kallai smiled at her friend slightly as she played around with her controls and observed the enemy.

"Hey Kallai. Did you run into that Auel guy?" Kallai looked up slightly, caught off guard for a moment as the memory of the moment earlier came rushing back into her head. She brushed it off again.

"Yeah, he's really strange..." She looked off into the distance for a moment. Strange seemed to be the best word to describe him. Kallai sighed, leaning forward on her controls. Why was everybody with the resistance so weird?

"Talk about weird! I mean, he kind of freaks me out though he is kinda cute..." Mylie giggled. Kallai laughed along, finding it amusing for some reason. Then again, Mylie thought almost every boy was cute. Kallai had devised that it was the only reason she joined the fight, her skills in the gundam just being an added bonus.

"You think every boy is cute. If I didn't know better, I'd think you liked Seken." The two burst out laughing, their eyes tearing up. Kallai slammed her hand down on her controls in a fit of laughter as Mylie leaned forward and gripped her sides. Suddenly, their laughter echoed through the other gundams.

"Are you two finished yet or is there something hilarious about this battle that you'd like to share with everyone?" Sting's voice came over the communications. Mylie immediately stopped laughing and regained her composure. Kallai stopped, her eyes wide and a slight blush of embarrassment across her cheeks.

"Red is left, blue is right and orange is centre." One of the other pilots said, breaking the awkward silence. Multiple screens stacked up in front of Kallai displayed each pilot. Everyone held up a coloured card, indicating which wing they'd take. Kallai held up a red card.

"Left wing. Rage moving out. Let's go and be back in time for a game of pool!" Kallai said, a smile breaking out onto her face. Mylie nodded on her screen.

"Dinner's on the loser!" Sting said, a mischievous grin on his face. Everyone agreed before breaking off to their sections. The Rage, Abyss, Eternity and Despair flew to the left wing whereas the Fear, Black Death, Shadow, and Chaos took up the right wing. The centre area was covered by the Sorrow, Sanity, Hope and the Gaia. Evenly spread across the battlefield, they seemed to have the advantage but the pilots knew otherwise. ZAFT had some of the best pilots around so this fight would be no walk in the park.
