Elizabeth Analie Swan

Elizabeth(age five) and Amelie, mother, and Jason, father

Elizabeth Analie Swan was born May 1st, 1991 in Charlottetown, PEI. Her parents, Jason Anthony Swan and Amelie Maria Swan, were deeply in love and loved their only daughter very much. Elizabeth learned things quickly, which they attributed to her high intelligence level and her parents were very proud. Her father, Jason, would often take young Elizabeth to his work, a boat yard. Her mother Amelie, taught her french at home when she wasn't at the school teaching the language class. Elizabeth didn't visit her relatives on her dad's side as they lived farther away. The only relatives she visited were her grandparents on her mother's side, Grand-Dad and Nana.

When Elizabeth entered first grade, her grandfather passed away. It was a sad time for the family and Elizabeth seemed to grasp the concept of death a little too well for her age. She matured quite a bit in that year. She focused on her studies more than making friends. A few grades passed by without much happening. It was the same day to day drivel. However, the cycle was broken in fifth grade when her grandmother died as well. She took this one a little harder than the passing of her grandfather. The idea of death was nothing new to her but she didn't like it.

Elizabeth got over her short burst of depression at her grandmother's death when she met Jamie, a girl who'd moved from New Jersey. The two became the best of friends, almost as if they were attached at the hip. By the time they graduated from elementary school, their small duo had become a quartet with a girl named Lainie and a boy named Adam.

High school was a critical passage for most of them. They mostly stayed friends for the first year but toward the end they didn't talk as much. Jamie and Elizabeth stayed friends and created their own group of friends. They ended up friends with quite a few people.

The group was almost inseperable. Mike, Tye and Allison tried to start their own band, Death Oranges, but they never got far, kind of hard in a small town on a small island in a small province of Canada. Elizabeth loved her friends and eventually, when she hit high school, dared to date. She dated Mike at one point but they broke up a month later. It turned out that they really did only like each other as friends. Mike found out he really liked Aleisha and they started dating. Elizabeth dated two other guys as well, Logan then Brady, but found they were both not quite right and Brady had turned out to be a real jerk so she wasn't going to date for a while after that break up.

Everything seemed normal and great, she was content with her life and friends, even her family. That's why she felt it okay for her parents to go away on the weekend for their anniversary. Elizabeth would stay home and keep the house clean and cook for herself while her parents enjoyed a romantic weekend away. The day they left, she bid them goodbye with a smile and a kiss to their cheeks. Everything was perfect. Her parents smiled and hugged her before thanking her for being able to look after herself. Her mom was ina giddy mood, like a teenager in love. Elizabeth stayed on the doorstep, watching them drive off down the road.

Their house was downtown Charlottetown so it wasn't surprising when a large truck turned the corner. But what was surprising was the drunk driver that flew past the truck. The truck driver slammed on it's brakes but veered off course, slamming and decimating the small toyota camry which had just reached the end of the road. Elizabeth had just seen her parents get killed.

A lawyer was called to deal with all the arrangements. The first time she met him, she guessed his type. He seemed upset, as if he had actually known her parents but he didn't. She knew right off the bat that he was faking it. Rodney was a fairly good actor though as he seemed to have everyone else fooled. Elizabeth was informed after the funeral that she would be moving to live with her father's estranged brother, her uncle.

There was no other choice. Elizabeth couldn't say anything against it either. For one reason, she didn't have anywhere else to go and secondly she hadn't spoken since the accident. She would be moving to Port Angeles in the states. She would have to leave all her friends, everything of her former life behind. She only had two days to pack her things before she'd be on a plane to her new home. Elizabeth decided to skip out on saying goodbye to her friends, she didn't want to make them upset, she wanted the mto forget about her. To Jamie, she wrote an angry note, pretending she didn't want to be friends anymore. It would be easier for Jamie to forget her that way.

The next day, she was on her way to Port Angeles and to her new home.
