Going to keep all my workouts that i am doing while I have my leg in plaster, just incase anyone else needs help with this kind of situation.

Broke my foot. D'oh!

Friday rest day

Saturday

As many rounds in20mins of

5 x 40kg shoulder press
10 x pull up
15 x press up

managed 8 rounds.

Plaster cast got in the road a little bit when pressing so might have to change that a wee bit but this was a good one.


Sunday

went to the climbing wall and had a great neck workout watching all the guys climb

Monday

Warm up on rower

21-18-15-12-9-6-3-reps of

pull up
ring press up

13:48

then did some seated shoulder press just to see what it felt like. Feels better than the standing press, not so off centre

Tuesday

Workout from Coach Steadman

As many reps possible in 20mins of seated muscle ups

Total reps - 83

Was supposed to be full muscle ups but not done any in a long time.

Then did 10 min of l-sits and tuck sits

Tabata - Pull up/push up/ sit up

Score equals total reps

Pull ups 72
Push ups 90
Sit ups 59

Total 221reps

Also managed HSPU 's by walking my feet up the wall and chest towards it...cheers Kempie!

Yep think I will need to post here for a few weeks till foot is 100%. Gonna come back on Monday night mate 7pm. Can weight bear around 60% at the moment so you can give me some punishment to suit!! :D

Got good news from teh hospital today, I only need to be in plaster for another 3 weeks!

So tonight I went back to MMA class. Couldnt do full class but managed to do a fair bit even with my leg in plaster.

did 40kg press and 20kg sit ups

Shoulder press - 13/10/10/8/9/reps

Pull ups - 32/17/15/16/17 reps

Sit ups - 12/13/13/10/15 reps

Pretty chuffed with the 32 pull ups, especially with the cast on. How much does this thing weigh?

kempie-What are get-up sit-ups? Will have to do workout you sent me tomorrow.. Not feeling good today, full of the cold! :(

Red, get-up sit-ups are a turkish get up that stops once you are sitting up right. If you are still bunged up tomorrow this would be a good one as it's not too met-con intense.

Time - 17:38

This one was great, arms and back were pumped so much after it. Was very happy with my push ups - managed over 30 in a row in the first set which is a big jump for me.

Death by Pull Up

17 rounds plus 12 pull ups. New PR.

then

10 - 1 reps of
Knees to elbows
Renegade rows 2 x 16kg kettlebell
Get up sit up l/r 16kg kettlebell

Time 26mins 24secs

Pull ups felt strong right up to about the 13th round then the got very broken. Kempies workout was nasty!

Davie, you make this point seem so obvious. Duh. Of course we can train around an injury, yet so many people let even minor stuff get in the way.
