Sort of rest day. had a class to teach at 12.30pm then Jax, Jools brain me and the kids went down the park for some Highland games practice for Jools. I didnt do much as my foot was a bit sore bt Jools and Brain did great.

Coach Kemp gave us this to do

As many rounds possible in 20mins of-

15 push press 30kg
15 KB swings 32kg
15 SDHP 32kg
250m row

I managed 5 rounds plus the push press and swings

Did this with Brain and Jools, who did excellent. Think they both got 4 rounds with 20kg push press and 16kg swings and SDHP.

Did it like this due to the cast. Cant really do more than 1,000m due to back getting really sore because I sit a bit lopp sided on the rower

First Row - 4.08
Last Row - 4.08

Did the Pull ups, press ups and situps "Cindy Style" = 20 sets of 5 pull ups, 10 press ups, 15 sit ups. Very happy with my pull ups and press ups as I managed all 20 sets of these with out breaking them up.

Did a repeat of a workout I did a week past Friday - last times reps in black, this weeks in red

5 rounds for max reps

seated shoulder press
pull ups
weighted sit ups

did 40kg press and 20kg sit ups

Shoulder press - 13/10/10/8/9/reps 15/12/12/11/11

Pull ups - 32/17/15/16/17 reps 37/22/20/18/20

Sit ups - 12/13/13/10/15 reps 20/15/17/12/16

37 pull ups is my all time pr so very happy that i matched it today, wish i could have hung on for 1 more rep but my left hand grip just went!

Then for Coach Steadman, 30mins of muscle up practice. No leg assist. No reps, but got close on loads.

50 back extensions (GHD)

50 sit ups ( feet anchored with dumbells)

This week has been great as i have seen a huge inprovement in my pul ups on Sunday, push ups yesterday and today it was the sit ups. I cant remember ever being able to do 50 sit ups in a row...never mind 3 sets.

Woo hoooooo got the cast off today.

Foot is a bit sore so wont be rushing back into full on squating and running but will be working back to full training again over the next 2 weeks hopefully

Just want to add my comments on Davies commitment to the cause. You know me, like to talk!!

I think his commitment and determination has been fantastic, a real inspiration to us all. We should all take note of what he has actually achieved by his consistency and refusal to make his injury an excuse for not training. All these excuses about having a cold or feeling tired whatever it may be, is really just a test of your true character, so go on and train take a leaf out of Davies book.

Well done big man, now you have to work on those chicken legs!!!!!! :lol:

PainStorm with a Kettlebell

24kg kettlebell for 190 reps.

I made a balls up of this. I done it indoors in one of the other halls in the building I am based in. For some reason ( im thick) i missed counted and thought 16 length of the hall equaled 800m...it didnt. That only equaled 400m, which I realised after I had finished in 20mins 57secs. Did the other 400 after I realised but this means that I now have to do it a again - probably tomorrow with the rest of the crew
