Dont know if I want to do this everyday....

Breakfast (This morning it was 6 o clock)

Gym

Oatmeal 30g
semi skimmed milk 150g
15 grapes/ handful of rasps
handful of almonds
20g protein powder

9.15am
Snack
Zone bar

1/2 Before spin class

170g yeo valley yogurt (natural)
20g protein powder
cup of blueberries
sprinkle of toasted almonds

Other half after spin

3pm

Promax meal bar

For dinner at 6-7pm I plan on

chicken breast (grilled or on the barbie)
heaps of veg, whatever is in the house
butter melted over veg

9pm

Ovaltine (well I am getting old)

That is pretty much what I stick to every day unless eating out.

Hope it helps

If I can give you any advise, it is to drink 2 litres of water every day religiously!! really helps.

Hmm...not necessarily but IMO using "standard" fish oil like the Holland and Barrett fish oil caps is fine.

I mention H and B 'cos they have one of their sales on ATM - big tubs of fish oil caps nice and cheap :)

Aye, a huge difference mate IMO....

Poliquin Quote

Most folk in Western society have a huge omega-3/omega 6 imbalance too.

If youre interested in this kind of stuff, "Fats That Heal, Fats That Kill" by Udo Erasmus is an amazing book - I would highly recommend it.

I am yet to be convinced about fish oils. I do take them but cant say I have noticed any difference. My supplements for the last 3 years has been; Multivit, Fish Oil capsules,Glutamine and ZMA. I feel I could not stop now, luckily I have a great source so it does not cost me that much. :P

Red, can I ask how much fish oil you take per day?

Is that within your Zone fat requirements, or in addition?

Wow! what are you taking to make that much difference, dont believe its down to fish oil alone.

Chet-dont know the amount, just take one in the morning and one at night. it is H&B own make, so its probably doo-doo!!

For me the big difference is glutamine, cant shout about it enough.

Naw, the H and B own brand capsules are fine IMO.

Agree with you on the glutamine. I should really take it more often, these days I tend to just take it when I "need" too...but it is amazing stuff for sure.

IMO you may well not see a whole load of difference taking 2 caps (usually 2g) fish oil a day, personally I need to be taking around 10 or so before I really start noticing changes.

Taken from Brand X

EPA is the less tongue-twisting term used for eicosapentaenoic acid. This is a nutrient extracted from omega 3 fatty acids, the “good fats” found in oily fish such as sardines, salmon and mackerel. It is well known that modern diets, with their heavy reliance on processed and fast food, lack these important nutrients. Essential to life and good health, omega 3, and in particular EPA, is believed to be of particular importance for eye and brain function. Extensive clinical studies over the past thirty years using omega 3 fish oil suggest that it can be used to treat successfully a wide range of illnesses including depression, M.E, bipolar disorder, Huntington’s, chronic fatigue syndrome , OCD and schizophrenia.

As a result of extensive clinical trials, EPA has been found to be beneficial for:

Lower cholesterol
depression
bipolar disorder
schizophrenia
OCD
Low moods
Heart health
Huntington ’s
Concentration
ADHD
ADD

It has also been shown to have a positive impact on Asthma and for
people with dry skin of any kind.

Key however, is the dosage. For instance most people take one or two pills a day where they should be taking 12-15. Additionally it should be kept in the freezer to prevent oxidation.
