ok, based on a year spent running round the iraq kuwait border for the UN back in 93, my advice would be

fly out early, give yourself 1 day per hours time zone shift to acclimatize
carry water everywhere and sip it always (go for clear pee, if its yellow, your in trouble)
stay out of the sun (especially your ginger nuts)
wear thin cotton clothing that covers as much of you as possible (think laurence of arabia) :ph43r:
wear a hat at all times
don't train hard when you get there, focus on recovery from the journey

good luck,

Should your pee be clear when in flow, or when it enters the receptacle? And if the latter, if there is blue water already in the pan should it stay the same colour? What if the water turns pale green or even purply-orange (happened to an old friend of mine many moons ago)? These questions must be answered 'cos they are totally irrelevant!

Never mind the pee. Jerry, how very dare you! Our Red neither has nuts nor the tendency to expose her netherparts to the sun (at least not in public).

She is a bootylicious laydee.

if the pan water is blue, your probably in hospital

in which case you did not drink enough water anyway! :P
