Sunday 6th April 2008:

Demons softball training:

Coached others for first half hour then carried out fielding, batting and throwing drills for one hour. Marvelled at how good my pitching and throwing was. Laughed at Kim when I batted a ball into her ankle when she was playing 1st.

For time:

TGU (12kg KB for 10 then 8kg KB): 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1
interspersed with Press-up: 20 18 16 14 12 10 8 6 4 2

Time: 15'44"

(had to go down weight with the KB 'cos my left arm let me down - naughty left arm, it must be punished!!)

then 1 minute plank; 1 minute rest x 3 - how I didn't collapse at this I'll never know, I didn't think you could feel such pain staying still

Sunday 13th April 2008 (Demons Softball training):

10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 each of

burpee
sit-up
press-up
walking lunge
tuck jump

Time: 10'38"

Then off to the park for betting and fielding practice - each batter hit 2 rounds of 10 pitches.

I managed to bean Jools at this and drew blood on her - it was an excellent throw!

21-15-9 reps each of

SDHP (24kg KB)
KB swing (24kg)
DB thruster (2x12.5kg DB)
Burpee with press-up

Done as a two-person team with Lewis (who had to do squats when he had finished his reps 'cos I was slower than him).

Time = 12'13"

in 20 minutes do as many rounds as you can:

200m run
10 OH lunge (12.5kg DB)
15 press-up
20 jumping squat

Finished 7 full sets + an 8th run (slightly over time)

100 kb swings (16kg)
100 press ups
100 sit ups
100 squats

Then did some planks and sitting up against a wall with my butt off the ground without using a seat - sore!

Sunday 27.04.08 (Demons softball training):

Tabata: 20" work, 10" rest x 16, 1 min rest between exercises.

KB swing - 13,13,13,13,13,13,13,13,13,13,13,13,13,13,13,13 (24kg KB for 1st 7 sets; changed to 16kg KB from set 8 as my lower back was giving out)
Burpee - 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 7, 7, 7, 7
Sit up - 11, 11, 11, 11, 10, 10, 10, 8, 7, 8, 8, 8, 9, 9, 9, 9

1 hours throwng, batting and fielding practice. Never beaned anyone, never hiit anyone with a batted ball, couldn't stop laughing at the slow-speed pursuit of a naughty 3-year old by his grandmother

that slow speed chase was one of the funniest things Ive seen in ages.....

Tuesday 29.04.08 (class workout:)

45 seconds work, 15 seconds rest x 3:

KB step up (2x 16kg) - 16; 15; 15
Plank - all 3 achieved
Beck's burpee - 15; 13; 14
Jumping squat - 30; 30; 29
SDHP (16kg KB) - 28; 28; 28
Monkey hang - completed 1st; lasted 40s in 2nd; 30s in 3rd (used a deadlift grip in this last and found it didn't work for me)
Rower - I don't know, I couldn't see 'cos I didn't have me specs on. I managed to keep the big numbers on the pacer at 1'50"-1'55"/500m for most of the time (sometimes slightly lower, sometimes slightly higher)

Then:
40 partnered sit-ups, 20 with medicine ball and 20 without
20" work 10" rest x3 of
raised leg side to side scissors
raised leg front to back scissors
(the last time I did these I was wearing a feathered boa on stage at a nightclub in Methil)
raised leg hold

I think I got a new PB in sweatieness during this class B)
