12 deadlifts
9 hang power clean
6 push jerk

21mins 10 secs using 60kg instad of the prescribed 70kg. Deadlifts slow but steady, these always scare me

Sunday rest day

Monday - CFE wod -

3 Rounds of:
5 seconds on, 10 seconds off, 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off, 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off, 30 seconds on, 10 seconds off, 15 seconds on, 10 seconds off, 25 seconds on, 10 seconds off

almost puked. Ran on grass and used a great timer programme on my ipod touch that allows you to set 12 different timers.

Cindy or Mary later, want to try mary but depends on my pistol ( will probably be Cindy )

its called Chronology and is available in the iTunes App store, the free version only has 4 timers, the pay one has 12, I think it is £1.50 or there abouts. But if you have a hacked iPod then its free too lol

Tuesday - family funeral

Wednesday - Death by clean and jerk with 60kg - 5 rounds plus 1 rep, a bit too heavy.next time i will use 50kg and aim for 8 rounds

Thursday - 10km run 53mins 29secs. last time 55mins 03secs so very happy with that

Road trip to CrossFit Fife for a workout at their anniversary party - 1 year open!

We did Fight Gone Bad, first time in ive done it as rx'd but because there were so many people doing it at once ( 13 ) and because I have the memory capacity of a goldfish, I didnt score it.

Before the workout we did some Oly lifting - Burgener warm up then some light lifting with 30 and 40kg

After the workout, we did some more and I got a shaky 50kg for 2 reps with the second one being better. I then went on to fail loads of times at 60kg, due to a few things - being too slow in the pull under the bar, too inflexible and the main one was not being strong enough in the OHS position. I got Coach B to have a look at the video of my lifts that I posted on Facebook and he gave me loads of pointers that I need to work on.

Started following this blog by fellow CrossFitter - Auvest - all workouts to be done wearing weighted vest ( apart from strength exercises). Will do it for the rest of the month, plus first few days of September and stop just before the Glasgow half Marathon

For time wearing 10kg vest

25-20-15-10-5 reps of

Pull Up
Box Jump

11mins 23secs

Then Burgener warm up, followed by skill transfer exercises with just Oly bar. Legs fried from the box jumps

Plus we had a softball game tonight and we won - I got a home run, 1 catch, 2 outs at first, 1 at second and 1 at third

Maxed out at 90kg which is over bodyweight by a couple of kg.

10 minutes max handstand pushups
5 minutes max air squats
2 minutes max pullups
1 minute max pushups

Do not rest between exercises

Did the HSPU without the vest, used it as a depth gauge making sure every rep touched it.

HSPU - 40 reps
Squats - 152 reps
Pull Ups - 24 reps
Push Ups - 19 reps

Then had a bit of a play around.

A few snatches with 30kg, 40kg and one with 50kg. Then some BFT jumps.

Now, the BFT is 3 tractor tyres stacked on top of each other - I have no idea what height it is ( will get it measured). I had a few attempts yesterday and got my fet up on top but couldn't stand up. Today I managed it but nearly fell off because the top tyre has very soft side walls...but I did it!

The next attempt though was a car crash - I jumped, landed too far into the tyre then fell back...onto concrete!

Tweeked my wrist a bit and will probably have a very bruised butt tomorrow but it could have been so much worse.
