![]() - [ Redemption Point hospital tower, NYC, North York ] - Rebekka thrashed awake on the floor, wrapped in medical bedsheets and screaming Bloody Fuckin Murder. Her own murder, very nearly. It was only the far away calling of her name, that eased her out of it. "Rebekka, wake up, please, look at me, Rebekka. Rebekka, Rebekka, Rebekka." And then her eyes booted up and dilated to focus in on Tamara Jackson, one of her former beat partners. Tamara was holding her by the shoulders, with a morbidly worried look on her face. Madison mumbled out "Nightmare" and proceeded to hug Tamara and sob like the scared woman Bekka was, mumbling out broken words. Not only did what happened to Madison scare her, but also the fact that it was now haunting bekka, and her ambivalent desire for Revenge against those responsible. Tamera huggled the poor woman, and sang a comforting song. She had seen other officers break from one stress or another, and they all broke differently. Usually, men tried to hide their brokenness, to Suck It Up and put on a Good Face. Not Madison. The cyborg irish woman may not have been born female, but she was definitely not a Man. Bekka was strong enough to show her weaknesses, as ironic as that sounded. Definitely, a Woman. ~ It had been abit over three years since Rebekka Madison had been savaged by raging factory workers (which whom she had sympathised with, ironically). She had barely survived the mauling, and had lost both of her arms and legs, and eyes, spine, and teeth, and even some internal organs. She was pretty messed up from trying to do the right thing. Whoever it was that bankrolled her medical expenses, they had replaced what was lost, and then some. Among the moderately premium replacement limbs and organs, Rebekka received a new nerve lattice implant, as well. It had been an agonizing 9 months, surgery after surgery, being rebuilt, piece by piece. And that was just the cyberware. After she was healed up enough to not reject the cyberware, they then started in on the grueling physical therapy and tuning and rehabilitation. She had to learn how to move and use her body all over again, from Square Zero. She still wasn't back up to 100 percent, not physically, and apparently certainly not psychologically, either. ~ After ten minutes of being an emotional train wreck, Rebekka was finally calmed down enough to speak again. "I can't stop remembering it, im a train wreck." Edited by Rebekka Madison, Dec 2 2017, 09:34 AM.
