The Demon God of Metal
How many decades had passed? He had been away too long... Far too long. One of the few immortal beings who recognized the limitless power that he contained.

Gigas Shimasu... The God of War...

When he was summoned to Earth, he had started to get his base line down, make sure he was established upon the mortal realm before he could set to find him. It was not easy, but there was much he could do.

His minions scoured the planet for what he was after. A flawed amethyst crystal, bone dust, a string made the hair of a widow, and a bowl used by a condemned man.

Axaleium stood over the items and poured a single image of the godly being into the crystal, causing it to shatter and float before him. The bone dust swirled around the gems before condensing around one. He grinned under that hood.

Everything reformed and expanded, showing him a star system, then a trio of worlds, then finally one. The core world of the Cold Empire. It made sense really. It was difficult to reach by mortal standards, and the Kaios and most of the Makaios had agreed to stay away.

They didn't include him... He wasn't from the tree... He just appeared, an aberration they called him.

Living the string, he touched the crystals that formed the world, and everything shifted. He was on Cold now, not in his mini dimension. And he could sense magic of the prison... Good.

It was simple enough to step there. It hardly was a real distance any more. His minions arrived a split second after and fell to their knees.

He held Anotroth, The Axe of Kings, once more.

He tapped the blade against the prison of ice the contained his friend. They had woven spells well into it to break his friend, to kill him finally. Centuries had siphoned off his power and slowly sealed him away.

No more was that going to happen. He heard the vibrations of the magic as well as the crystal itself. Now it was easy. Now he would show them that an aberration could ruin their plans and plots. This was an act of defiance against the uncaring and unfeeling deities of this universe.

He would free something else they feared, as Majin Buu once terrified them, so too would the God of War. He would sing against his friend as he always did, and unite the masses against him. Perhaps one day they would meet in battle, but today was not that day...

Stepping back, he called forth his band. Each demon had been created with the sole task of using their instrument to the peak their minds could handle. He tapped to set the rhythm and then started to play.

The whole cave shook as he played, but the barriers would protect them should it all end in a cave in. A spell shattered and he changed tempo, causing another to fail. Cracks formed on the ceiling, the walls, and in the floor.

Then a crack formed upon the crystalline surface. He was breaking through. His grinned widened and then a happened. The cave exploded from the sheer volume and power of the song.

Spider web cracks formed over the surface as he hit the chorus of the song. He built towards the songs peak and it shattered the crystal, depositing his friend upon the ground.

The grin was on his face. "The power of Metal has freed you! Go forth, fallen God of War, and reclaim your throne! And get off your lazy ass give me more to sing about!"

Subtle...

The grass spread out for miles before him, on the other side of the field stood his master, a man standing at about five foot ten inches tall, a solid eight inches shorter than the behemoth of a war god known as Gigas. Beside and behind Gigas stood an entire army of beings with colors of multiple different hair colors.

Standing directly beside him was a man about three inches shorter than him with long, red hair. A being known as Anger's Blade, the General of the God's Army, Yarost.

"This is the most important battle of our lives, Yarost. You understand that, right?" The war God's voice said solemnly.

"Of course, Master. Our freedom depends on it." The red haired being responded, holding in its hand a long and thin steel blade, a katana.

Gigas reached back and pulled the fan from his back, a bland look upon his face. Then a grin spread across his face turned a sickly veins popped from under the skin... his eyes a sickly blue-grey color.

"Rain down hell!" Those words carried across the entire field, the Rageborn army behind him shouting and coming to life as they charged forward towards the opposing army...

Clashes of metal, fire bursting from the ancient weaponry on both sides of the battle and blood began spewing from the bodies of the people in the field. The beings were in a delicate dance each one was a dance of elegant metal.

The battle was intense, and it became more and more apparent that one side had a clear advantage as Gigas found himself being pushed back further and further. He swung out the fan again, this time using it as a weapon, it had the ability to allow the user to use the winds around them as a weapon.

He swung forward, the harsh wall of quick-moving air slamming into his master's face and knocking him backwards. He shot forward to aim that steel katana into the chest of his master...

But found one in his own back....

He stood frozen in that block of ice, he'd been there for many centuries. He'd seen a great many wars, being aware of the outside world from within that cold ice. He'd seen the actions of the Axis Saiyans, the fall of the PTO and their rebirth. He'd seen the occasional member of the Saiyan Solar Empire end up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

So when that day, the a demon appeared before him, he looked at him with a curious gaze. The demon's weapon began pulsing with a stringent vibration send waves of sound careening off the walls of the cavern. Perhaps this was the savior he had been waiting for?

The fellow band members began playing that cruel melody. The sounds of the ballad bouncing around the cavern filling Gigas's ears with an intoxicating sound. Had he been thawed and able to laugh with ease, he would have. However, at the time he was somewhat restricted in his abilities when it came to movement.

Then those hairlike cracks began to crawl up the ice and the tempo began to rise. He was getting faster, either he was getting bored and rushing or he was really getting into. Either way, the hastening of the music brought a hastening of the cracks. The ice began to give way to the God of War that was held beneath.

Then in a burst of energy, the ice was shattered and out stepped Gigas, a twisted grin on his face and a cruel laugh filled the cavern.

"Oh yes, free at last... Finally, I thought I'd never get out of that hell." He spoke, before Axaleium's statement. "The power of metal eh? Interesting."

He reached back for his fan and found it wasn't there. He frowned a bit and then shrugged, he'd have to regain that later.

"...Now then, tell me why you freed me, Demon."

"My old friend... It is good to see you. It has been centuries. I am not surprised you do not recognize me this late in the game." He grinned wide and dismissed his minions. "Axaleium, the Demon God of Metal has awoken you. Why? Well, there are many reasons for this, but what is the core reason of it all?"

That was a true question wasn't it? The core reason for his arrival on this horrid world. He had come to this world to free his friend, but there was much more than that. He laughed deeply and held up his axe, magic glowing off it. The echo came though the shattered cavern.

"My reasons for freeing you are simple: to spit in faces of the Kaios, to shatter the holdings of the makaios, and to make the universe a much more interesting place. I miss the wars you cause and the reaping you cause across the universe to cull as though a gardener. You bring strife and ruin, but you also create heroes and legends. It is time to return to that."

He slammed the axe into the iced over ground and held his arms out, showing the stars above in the universe. He showed the small scale wars and purgings that happened across the galaxy.

"Your time is now my friend... It is time to reclaim your throne."

He listened carefully to the being's speech, but the moment he heard its name it made far more sense.

"Axaleium? After all these centuries? Glorious!" He replied with a twisted gring. The God of war began spinning his small katana, the tip of the blade on his fingertip. "So you want to bring an end to the order that has lasted so long? Interesting."

The Makaioshin had a smirk that told far more than anything else he had said so far. This was when that Axe hit the ground and made his statement of the great reaping of lives.

"Ahh yes, the harvest of souls is my favorite part of war! Nothing like a blood bath to add a bit of spice to your life, no?" The god had a look of pure twisted evil upon his face. "Heroes do tend to show their faces when the things they love are threatened. It's a sad fact of life."

Stars began showing and Axaleium spoke of wars and purges. What a mess this universe hd been without his prensence, this place was going to be anarchy when he was finished.

He pointed to Earth, "I feel something strange almost like a violent war just finished there but a year or so before now. Three at the most."

"What happened there recently?"

"Earth... there is much that happens upon it. But where to start?" He asked, waving a hand to form a pair of seats. "There was a being named Zuchino who started all of this. A demon in the Abyss from a place called Verge. He lead an army of abyssal beings to Earth and ruined much."

Axaleium spoke of the Abyssal Crisis from a watchers perspective. Speaking of the battles, how they fought, who won, and every detail he could recall about the events those years ago. While it was recent in his time, he wasn't directly involved, and he would make that clear quickly enough. He had no.power over the events.

"All I was able to do was inspire those who had the talent and the drive to write and perform music. My touch was limited for far too long. But, as you can see, that limit no longer applies. I have been summoned and anchored to the real world now. Little stands in my way...

Except bordem... there is little in the world to write of at the moment. I was so bored, I challenged a mortal to a Rock Off. By the ancient rights, I laid the guitar down for him, and he accepted. A quick learner, but stubborn this Cell is, to do it all alone."

He waved his hand again. He knew his ally would need his strength. He has to build up from a shadow of his former power after all. A meal was made, meat, fruits, veggies, and more. It was a feast to say the least, but it was not limited to one world's menu either. Familiar foods and ones strange and exotic ones as well.

"Eat and regrow your strength, my friend. You much to do until you are strong enough to move freely. If you ever find yourself in dire need, speak my name, and I shall aid you. I might not arrive in the flesh, but something shall be there for you quickly."

Gigas felt a grin slowly slipping onto his face as he heard the stories of the abyssal crisis. The being seemed quiet amused, perhaps he'd have something to keep his attention after all. That was good news to hear, good news indeed. Earth would be a target for when his powers were closer to full potential, however. From the stories, he could tell it would be dangerous to try anything too crazy without having some sort of way to protect himself.

"Inspiration is the most powerful weapon of all, Demon." He said with a grin. "Understanding that is vital to any battle. It's not the side with the biggest numbers or the most efficient weapons that win, but the side with the greatest morale." The God simply looked up and smiled after finishing the statement.

So he had spent a few years motivating warriors, he wondered whom all had felt his influence. He began thinking of what he'd need to retake his throne and after a few seconds, he realized the first and most important part of the puzzle.

Suddenly, there was an exotic spread of food before him. More familiar than exotic, most of the foods that seemed unusual to the God were things that were newer recipes that had been developed over those few hundred years he'd spent in the ice. He sat to eat a bit of it, he was hungry no doubt. Then, he heard the being's offer.

"Ever heard of a Rageborn, Demon?"

Axaleium grinned at the being before him. "I have in various tales, they are hard to come across, as such, I have yet to study them. I am not above assuming that you wish to either know of them, or get more of them under your command to help with your marching across the stars."

He had a suspicious feeling that the God if War wanted them in some way or the next, but the truth would be shown soon enough. Either way, Axaleium was indeed glad for this all to be happening. Sure, there would be suffering, but there would be true heroes soon enough, people to write about and inspire others to greater heights.

In all, he wanted to create an album that would shatter the hold of the Kaios, the unfeeling beings who sit by in idle as the guilt run free, only standing up when something finally comes along to challenge their right to rule the realms. Well, that was going to change now, wasn't it?

Sipping his wine, he pondered just what to do now that he had freed a being that was hellbent on ruling everything through a never ending war. In truth, part of him really didn't care, or even want yo care. It would be good enough to allow others to stand tall and claim their destiny.

The God grinned, "5,000 years ago, I discovered the affect of negative emotions released during war... Then, I grabbed hold of the barely living being beside me... Smashing his face into the ground. I was Simply wondering what would happen if I put them near by each other. A soul and that darkness. The result was.. beyond what was expected. There was a baby."

Gigas grinned as he looked to Axaleium. "I named him Yarost and raised him to lead an army. He was my son. We, together, were too powerful for our own good. We built an army... We named them Rageborns, we planned to rule the universe. We went to war with my master for my freedom... However, we failed."

"If you find a Rageborn, lead them to me, Please."

Axaleium smirked under that hood of his, folding his hands as he listened. "If I find one, I shall point you in their direction. I'm sure they would love to know their progenitor and perhaps the truth behind how they were created."

Waving his hand, he drew several runes in the air. If one looked at them close enough for the moments they lived, it looked much akin to that of sheet music. As each of the runes was drawn, they shriveled and burned away, but the area that was once a prison changed as well.

The walls became reinforced with stone and ice, the temperature moved quite a bit upwards, and it was transformed into a fortress of stone and ice. Weapon racks, armor stands, and much more existed in this place. Ax simply grinned wide.

"I cannot take you with me, but I can ease your living here. This fortress shall be a grand starting point for your rebuilding. This world you are on is known as Planet Cold, ruled by beings known as Changelings, and they control an empire. Do with this, what you will."

He rose up and looked at his old friend. "I may not have been born from the Tree as you were, but I am not going to watch passively as the universe is ground to dust. I have seen your fate, go and claim it."

The portal of flames burst into being behind him, and he stepped through, the portal snapping shut and leaving the God of War alone with his meal.

Gigas watched as the being left through a fiery portal and looked around at the now fortress. Oh boy, this was interesting. he hadn't expected anything quite like this beforehand. But now he stood and began to walk through the halls of his new fortress, he needed to populate it no doubt. There were many beings throughout the galaxies and the universe that could serve as a way to get more Rageborns and begin to repopulate his army.

"So the Changelings rule this place?" He said with a genuine grin. "Well, it seems that it's time for me to go hunt down their king then. Find what I can do to get involved in the conflicts they're sure to be having.... Perhaps I could get a few new allies that aren't Rageborn as well along the well." He began to wrap some coverings around his body as he heard a voice in his head.

"Dad! Dad, wait!" The voice yelled, dragging him back into the past. There he was standing on the front porch of his home that he had built after running away from his master. He looked back and saw the small form of Yarost waddling towards him with his arms outstretched. Gigas turned and embraced the child with a cocky grin.

"Hello, little warrior! How are you this fine evening?" He asked Yarost, whom seemed rather full of himself.

"I have something cool to show you, Dad! Come check this out!" Yarost excitedly exclaimed, jumping to run back towards his room. Gigas followed until the door came open and standing there was Yarost waving about a sword and "blocking" from invisible forces that attacked from his imagination.

What was truly amazing about it was the accuracy and precision, the fluid motions of the sword and the intensity of his use of his shield. It truly was quite the sight.

Gigas smiled and stepped out of the fortress thinking of Yarost as he went. "Someday soon I'll see you again, kid. Some day soon."
